The 1.5 anniversary banner introduces multiple new units and adds the new “Heavy Hitter” tag. The three most notable units are the limited attacker “V2 Assault Buster Gundam,” the limited support “Zanspine,” and the non-limited tank “Gottrlatan.” Their roles are completely different: V2AB is a multi-action attacker, Zanspine is a tactical support, and Gottrlatan is an offensive tank. LDShop breaks them down one by one, then gives Pulling priority.

V2 Assault Buster Gundam

Unit Analysis

V2 Assault Buster Gundam

V2AB is this banner’s limited attacker. Base ATK is about 11,961, and its ability gives itself 15% ATK up. For an anniversary limited attacker, this boost is not especially high. Max ATK is about 13,755, which is on the low side among three-action, four-range EX weapon units.V2 Assault Buster GundamV2 Assault Buster Gundam data

However, its overall performance is well-rounded: 5 MOV, very wide terrain adaptability, built-in shield, and HP in the upper range among attackers. Passive 2 gives 50% beam damage reduction. Unit skill also gives +3 MP, +1 MOV, +10% MOB, and 20% damage reduction when hit by beam weapons. With its original pilot and a Heavy Hitter ship, under certain conditions it can reach extremely high beam damage reduction, making it very strong in PVE. It is also the first unit that can enter Supercharged on its first action, giving it a clear opening morale advantage.

V2AB has a 4-range EX weapon with max Power around 8,640; with its original pilot, first action can only enter Supercharged, so first-action Power is about 8,280. Its normal weapon is a 5-range beam weapon with about 5,520 Power, covering mid-range output.

The real highlights are two MAPWs: one 3×6 ranged MAP, and one “Wings of Light” type used after movement. The 3×6 MAP is very practical for clearing and stacking Vigor; Wings of Light combines movement and hit range. The EX weapon has “higher damage at longer distance,” and with full bonuses the numbers are decent, but first-action damage still lags behind top boss-killers.

In actual combat, V2AB’s first-action damage is actually decent, somewhat like Hi-Nu Gundam; max firepower is limited by pilot base stats and unit ATK, so it is not an extreme boss-killer. Its strengths are “multi-action + MAP + automatic cleanup”: comfortable in PVE clearing, and good in PVP for entering later and picking off kills.

Tags: “Breakthrough, Test Type, Heavy Hitter.” Breakthrough and Test Type are currently valuable team tags; Heavy Hitter is a new tag. Although the system is not fully formed yet, as a limited attacker V2AB at least secures a spot. It can fit two 44% ships, giving good team flexibility.

Pilot: Uso EwinPilot: Uso Ewin

Uso’s base Ranged is 743. When piloting V Gundam series units, Ranged can reach 849; after activating active skills, max is about 991, still not crossing 1,000, which is a bit disappointing. Pilot Ability 2 is an anniversary-limited exclusive: when piloting V Gundam series units, Melee, Ranged, and Reaction +15%.Pilot: Uso Ewin skill

EX Character Ability: when piloting a unit with the “League Militaire” tag and Vigor is “Supercharged” or greater, gain one “Guaranteed Chance Step +1 time” marker. This effect can even trigger on MAPW, so it is easy to perform “3+1” actions. In AUTO, the AI can also activate it, but if you want to save this extra action, you must manually wait; moving or attacking will consume it. In addition, when piloting League Militaire units, he also has +6 MP and 15% damage reduction.

Skills include Range +1, Attack UP 25%, and a composite skill: Ranged +20%, EN consumption -20%. This composite skill is very practical, but because SP cost conflicts with Attack Burst, in daily play you often have to choose one: range, burst, or EN saving, depending on the stage.

Overall, Uso is a pilot very suited to multi-action MAP teams and has high synergy with V2AB. But when switched to other units, his value drops somewhat because he lacks general damage amplification.

Pulling Advice

Strength chasers: Anniversary-level strength, the first attacker that easily does “3+1” actions. Recommended.

F2P / light spenders: If you play Breakthrough and lack Wing Gundam Zero, highly recommended; Test Type or Heavy Hitter teams are also worth pulling. If none of these teams need him, consider skipping.

Whales / favorites: If you like the V2 series or Uso, pull directly; if resources allow, go for stars.

Zanspine

Unit Analysis

Zanspine

Zanspine is the 1.5 anniversary limited support, with tags “One-Shot Killer, Ace Unit, Psycommu, Heavy Hitter.” It can fit three 44% limited ships, one of its biggest values. Terrain adaptability is very good, it can appear on almost all maps, 5 MOV, and has a shield. Base ATK is around 10,000+, and its passive gives “ATK +15% when Vigor is Max or greater,” so its output is higher than most supports, fitting the limited support role.

However, Zanspine itself is not especially outstanding; what is truly strong is its tactics and pilot synergy. Support damage is not as absurd as Altron or AGE-2, so pay attention to CS timing and use MAPW to fly back to a safe position.

It has a 4-range EX beam damage-boost weapon. With its original pilot and Vigor “Max” or greater, it becomes a 5-range EX beam damage-boost weapon. Another highlight is the same Wings of Light MAPW as V2AB: applies 25% DEF Down, and on hit gains and activates an extra action. However, it costs 6 MP, reduced to 3 MP with its original pilot, so it is highly bound to Fuala.

As long as Wings of Light MAPW hits one enemy, no kill needed, it gains an extra action. With the original pilot’s active skill not consuming remaining MAPW ammo, it can be used consecutively, making Zanspine the first “four-action” support. Tinkle Bits is a special weapon mainly used to extend range; Wings of Light EX and funnels are the main upgrade paths.

Tags: “One-Shot Killer, Ace Unit, Psycommu, Heavy Hitter.” One-Shot Killer, Ace Unit, and Psycommu are all popular tags and can fit multiple strong teams; Heavy Hitter is a new tag whose future potential is worth watching. Overall, Zanspine’s tags are very valuable, which is one reason its Pulling priority is high.

Pilot: Fuala GriffonPilot: Fuala Griffon

Fuala’s base Awaken is 803. After active skills, max is about 994, also not over 1,000, a bit disappointing. However, she is a Cyber-Newtype with high initial MP, and with skills she can “open with burst,” entering Max or even Supercharged on turn one, making her very strong in Arena.

EX Character Ability reduces own weapon MP consumption by 3, so Wings of Light MAPW only needs 3 MP, greatly lowering the threshold for consecutive use. She also lets Zanspine, when Vigor is Max or greater, increase all beam weapon max range by 1, so Wings of Light becomes 1–5 range. She lacks Sway, so positioning relies on MAPW or ally cover.

Active skills include MP Up, Awaken Boost, and EN/ammo reduction. Zero EN/Ammo LV3 lets her use MAP weapons multiple times; as long as Wings of Light MAPW hits three enemies, it effectively costs no ammo, so using Wings of Light twice in a row is no problem. Overall, Fuala is the core of this unit; without her, Zanspine’s four actions and range are both affected.

Pulling Advice

Strength chasers: Anniversary-level strength, the first “four-action” support. Recommended.

F2P / light spenders: One-Shot Killer, Ace Unit, Psycommu, and Heavy Hitter are all popular tags. Unless you play none of these teams, highly recommended. The pilot herself is also worth pulling.

Whales / favorites: Pull. This unit has high tactical value; whales can consider high stars directly.

Gottrlatan

Unit Analysis

Gottrlatan

Gottrlatan is the 1.5 anniversary non-limited unit, with tags “Lightning-Fast, Test Type.” Terrain adaptability is good, almost all maps, 5 MOV, and a shield. Base ATK 11,586. When Vigor is “Max” or greater, ATK and DEF +10%; when HP is 75% or below, ATK +7%. With all triggered, max ATK is about 13,555, making it the second-highest ATK tank in the game. HP is very high, DEF is decent, and with shield and damage reduction, it is quite hard.

Its biggest feature is that with its original pilot, Support Defense movement range +1, equal to 6-range support defense. As a tank, it does not just stand there; it also deals good damage, a rare “offensive tank.” Among UR tanks, it is also one of the few with six-range support range, and its defensive performance is impeccable.

It has a 4-range ATK Down EX weapon, Power around 7,200, with ATK reduction effect, very practical. 3×6 MAPW can reduce beam weapon Power; although damage is not high, the disruption is good. Other ranged weapons can save EN for counters. Its EX weapon is upper-tier among tanks, tied for second with t 00 Raiser Final Battle Type (EX), only losing to Gundam Deathscythe Hell. Overall, Gottrlatan’s weapon layout gives it rare offensive ability among tanks.

Tags: “Lightning-Fast, Test Type.” It lacks Swift as Lightning, Unstoppable, and Heavy Hitter, so its tags are relatively inferior, but this also means it is a reinforcement rather than a core for these tags. It can fit Nightingale’s Red team or Rival team, and has a place in Test Type. Overall, Gottrlatan’s unit strength is good; its tags are mid but practical.

Pilot: Katejina Loos

Pilot: Katejina LoosKatejina’s Defense is only 638, low for a shield pilot, but the unit itself is hard enough to offset this. Ranged 664; when active skill reaches “Supercharged” or greater, Ranged and Melee +20%, Ranged can reach 790, quite high among tank pilots, even mid-tier among attacker pilots. The cost is Reaction -20%, but the impact is small.

EX Character Ability has two parts: first, when piloting Zanscare Empire units, Support Defense movement range +1 and 15% damage dealt/taken; second, when piloting specified tag units, additional Ranged. She is a Cyber-Newtype with high initial MP, and with MP Up can open with burst, entering Max on turn one and getting the unit’s ATK/DEF +10%. This makes her a rare “double support defense + offensive” tank pilot.

Skills include MP Up, Attack Burst, and Sway, balancing offense and survival. For tank pilots, Sway only works when attacking, not during Support Defense, but since she is an offensive tank, it is still practical. Overall, Katejina is Gottrlatan’s best pilot, able to tank and deal damage, and has some value when switched to other ranged tank units.

Pulling Advice

Strength chasers: Although non-limited, the unit’s stats are good, and the pilot is a rare offensive double-support defender. Consider pulling.

F2P / light spenders: See if you lack a Lightning-Fast or Test Type tank. If not, wait for spooks, since it is a standard pool unit.

Whales / favorites: Pull if you like it; strength will not disappoint, but remember it is a tank, not an attacker.

Conclusion

The three new 1.5 anniversary units have very clear roles:

  1. Zanspine: Limited support, highest tactical value, first four-action support, many popular tags, highest priority.
  2. V2AB: Limited attacker, first attacker that easily does “3+1” actions, Breakthrough / Test Type / Heavy Hitter reinforcement, worth pulling for strength chasers.
  3. Gottrlatan: Non-limited tank, offensive double support defense, Lightning-Fast / Test Type reinforcement, can wait for spooks; not worth hard-pulling the standard pool.

If you are F2P or a light spender with limited resources, prioritize limited units. Zanspine and V2AB are both units that “change how your team plays once you have them”; Gottrlatan is a “nice to have, but not a collapse if missing” reinforcement. If you play One-Shot Killer, Ace Unit, Psycommu, or Heavy Hitter, Zanspine has very high priority; if you play Breakthrough, Test Type, or Heavy Hitter attack teams, V2AB is well worth getting.
