Providence Gundam EX

The Providence Gundam is a UR support unit that’s fully non-limited, meaning it will return in future banners.

Key Features

• Its EX-skill, the Dragoon System, is a standout feature, capable of consistent ranged attacks with DEF Down debuffs, starting at 25% and increasing to 35% at level 5.
• It also has a passive that boosts its own attack by 15% when its HP drops to 50% or below. Its passives also provide extra mobility, EN recovery and improved disruption effects.

Strength

Both debuff skills have a range of 5, making it easier to apply debuffs. Its attack stat is high, and with both the Gundam’s and the pilot’s skills fully activated, its attack can exceed 14,000, which is good for a support unit. The unit has solid terrain adaptability and can fly, so it’s far less likely to be restricted by map conditions. Its tag set is acceptable with some minors, but there are several valuable major tags as well.

Weakness

Its defence is currently the lowest among all support gacha units, so it is important to keep it out of harm’s way. Fortunately, support units typically stay in the backline, so this drawback is generally manageable.

Key takeaway

While the Dragoon system is thematically perfect for the SEED series, the low-HP condition is a questionable design choice for a support unit. Supporters are essential for maintaining team performance, and intentionally deceasing the units to half health is rarely ideal. Many players were hoping Providence would debut as an attacker, but this version remains firmly positioned as a support unit.

 

Rau Le Creuset

Providence’s pilot, Rau Le Creuset, is a UR support pilot and brings solid offensive support capabilities.

• He has two Support Attack Counters, which are standard but valuable for UR pilots.
• The character skill provides a +20% increase to damage dealt during battle for one turn.
• When boarding Providence Gundam (EX), he can give a 5% increase in attack and defence to units with the same tag.

Strength

Rau’s Ranged Attack and Awakening stats are both exceptionally high, allowing him to pilot a wide variety of suits. His skill set is excellent with the combination of Awakening boosts and Attack Burst enabling him to unleash powerful burst damage within a single turn. He also comes with nine tags, which is a high number for a pilot and offers strong team-building flexibility.

Weakness

Rau has no notable drawbacks for his rarity class. As a non-limited pilot, Rau is already very impressive. His abilities are not tightly tied to any specific mobile suit, making him one of the better options for pilot swapping.

Key takeaway

Rau is more offense-oriented than most support pilots, giving him the flexibility to function not only as a supporter but also as a strong fit for attacker-type suits. His long-term value could increase even further if paring with teammates of the same tags and may receive additional support in future updates.

 

Kampfer (EX)

Now here’s where things get more interesting along with the Kampfer entering as a non-limited UR attacker. For many players, it’s the real highlight of the banner.

• The unit features an MP-scaling map weapon that increases power by up to 7%, even higher at max levels.
• It also has a shotgun EX Weapon that boosts power by up to +12% at close range.

Strengths

At full stars, the Kampfer reaches 9,583 Defence, currently the third highest among all attacker units. However, despite the excellent defence, its HP is the lowest of all attacker gacha units. Its first map attack benefits from a scaling mechanic, has strong base power, and hits a trapezoid-shaped AoE, making it both reliable and versatile. The suit also comes with two separate Attack-boosting passives, both easy to maintain due to simple and favourable conditions. This allows Kampfer to deliver consistently high damage once set up.

Weaknesses

Its extremely low HP makes it fragile without tank support, so it requires protection to perform well in tougher content. Its terrain adaptability is poor, preventing it from participating in aerial stages, which is a limitation depending on the map rotation. Additionally, it has fewer tags than average, and most of current tags offer limited practical value in current meta team building.

Key takeaway

The Kampfer is designed for high-impact, close-range, burst-oriented gameplay. With a strong map attack and aggressive EX kit, it feels like suits like the GPO2A, offering explosive output despite its frailty. Both thematically and mechanically, it’s a refreshing shift from the typically Gundam-centric attacker releases.

 

Mikhail Kaminsky – UR Attacker Pilot

Kampfer’s pilot is Mikhail Kaminsky, a UR attacker pilot. He is notorious in lore but mechanically solid in-game.

Key features

• He provides +20% ranged damage, gains both offensive and defensive bonuses when piloting Zeon-tagged units.
• It offers +6 MP Increase, which pairs well with Kampfer’s map weapon.

Strengths

At max level, he reaches 819 Ranged Attack, ranking 2nd among all attacker pilots. His skill set is well-balanced, providing both MP generation and additional Ranged Attack boosts. His character ability is tied to the Principality of Zeon, and since he is a ranged pilot, he pairs extremely well with Casval, making limited-development device stages noticeably easier to clear. His tagging is also respectable, offering five useful tags.

Weaknesses

None. For a non-limited pilot, his performance and versatility are already excellent.

Key takeaways

Because the Zeon tag pool is very large, Mikhail is a highly flexible pilot who can slot effectively into a wide variety of attacker units, especially those that benefit from MP scaling or ranged-focused builds.

 

Multa Azrael & Dominion

Multa Azrael is the support warship in this banner and is the secondary antagonist of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED.

Key features

• It offers buffs for Rival-tag units and provides area HP restoration, which is generally more valuable than energy recovery.
• It benefits from the Rival tag, granting +25% to all stats at 0 star.

Strengths

The Rival tag has wide applicability, giving this warship more relevance than you’d expect from a non-limited option. Its area-based HP restoration provides practical, consistent utility for many team compositions. It’s a solid ship overall, useful, functional, and easy to slot into Rival setups, though not strong enough on its own to justify pulling the banner.

Weaknesses

Multa Azrael & Dominion suffers from low survivability and high EN consumption, making it unreliable in longer or harder fights. It is easily outclassed by faster, higher-tier units with stronger EX Skills.

Key takeaways

While there are already enough Rival-tag suits to form a decent team, it’s better to save your pulls for what’s coming next rather than invest in this support warship now.

 

Should you pull this banner?

This banner is an easy skip because that none of the units are limited, their performance is decent but not standout, and stronger options, like the Kassai & Penelope banner, are available. The only reason to reconsider is if Strike Freedom and Eternal Lacus end up rerunning here, but for now that’s purely speculative.

However, you can consider pulling if you want strong new units to expand your roster before the banner ends, especially if you’re a fan of Providence Gundam or Kampfer and enjoy building theme-based teams. It’s also a good choice if you have enough diamonds or tickets available so that rolling now won’t interfere with your long-term saving plans.

 

Conclusion

Since none of the current units are limited, they’ll return through event tickets or the standard pool. The upcoming banner, the Christmas and New Year release is widely expected to be the biggest of the year. All signs point to something major, with a strong chance of Wing (W) or 0080 units appearing, possibly back-to-back.
