SD Gundam G Generation Eternal April 1st Update: Three UR Limited Units – Wing Gundam Zero (EW), 00 Raiser (Final Battle Type), and Tallgeese III. An in-depth analysis of unit strength, skill mechanics, tag synergies, and Pulling advice to help you decide which one to pull for!
The dust has finally settled on the April 1st anniversary update, bringing with it a banner featuring three UR limited units: Wing Gundam Zero (EW), 00 Raiser (Final Battle Type), and Tallgeese III. Many commanders are likely hesitating over where to invest their resources. LDShop will provide a deep dive into the practical value of these three new units from multiple dimensions, including unit stats, skill mechanics, tag synergies, and pilot compatibility, offering the most honest and detailed Pulling advice.
Wing Gundam Zero (EW): A Tactical Revolution as a Mobile Map Weapon
The arrival of Wing Gundam Zero EW introduces a highly disruptive mechanic: the ability to use MAP weapons after moving. This seemingly simple change directly elevates its tactical status by a full tier.
Stats & Skills: Perfect Combination of High Base Stats and Conditional Damage
At max level and limit break, Wing Gundam Zero (EW) boasts an ATK of 13,427, DEF of 9,347, MOB of 10,145, and HP exceeding 110,000. With all-terrain adaptability and 5 MOV, it possesses exceptional versatility.
Its core damage output relies on the EX weapon "Twin Buster Rifle EX": Range 2-5, base power 6,720, with "Absolute Hit" and "Weapon Attribute Damage Reduction Null" effects. More critically, it has a passive that increases weapon power based on remaining HP: at max HP, the increase can reach 20%, meaning the actual power can hit 8,064, surpassing similar weapons on the Strike Freedom.
The unit's passive provides three layers of damage increase: ATK +15% (constant), Max HP & DEF +10%, and an additional 10% ATK/DEF increase when Vigor is "Supercharged" or higher. Stacked together, Wing Zero's ATK in Supercharged state easily exceeds 14,500, placing it at the top tier among attackers.
Core Mechanic: Post-Movement MAP
Wing Zero's biggest highlight is its MAP weapon "Rolling Buster Rifle": Power 4,200, fan-shaped area, usable after moving, consumes only 5 MP, with 1 ammo. It is currently the only limited unit in the game capable of "positioning → firing a map cannon" after moving, with farming efficiency far surpassing the Double X. In PVP Master League, while the AI may not perfectly utilize triple actions, its ability to use the post-move MAP to clean up low-HP enemies and bypass support defense makes it a difficult threat to handle.

However, the unit has a clear shortcoming: it lacks any standard 5-range single-target weapon. Its longest range comes from the EX (5 range) and the standard Twin Buster Rifle (3-5 range), making it struggle when long-range suppression is needed.
Tags & Role: A Promising 'Tenacious' Unit
Wing Zero's tags are "Breakthrough" and "Tenacious" (a new tag). The Breakthrough tag currently has members like God Gundam and F91, making a team barely possible. However, there is currently no limited supporter for the Tenacious tag, preventing Wing Zero from enjoying a full 44% stat bonus. Based on past experience, a dedicated supporter will likely be added in a later update, which is when its strength can truly reach the top.
Pilot Deep Dive: Heero Yuy (EW)
If the Wing Zero unit is the tactical core, then Heero is the key that makes that core spin.
Base Stats & Skills
Heero's Ranged stat is 842, placing him in the upper-mid tier among triple-action pilots. His active skills are quite luxurious:
- Boost Range LV1 (SP5): +1 range in the next battle.
- MP Up LV5 (SP3): Self MP +7.
- Ranged Boost LV5 (SP5): Ranged +25% (1 turn).

After activating Ranged Boost, Heero's Ranged reaches approximately 1011. Combined with his passive 20% damage increase and the 25% Ranged boost, his output is very considerable.
EX Character Ability:
Heero's EX ability grants an "extra action +1 time" when piloting Wing Zero, as well as "Weapon MP Consumption -3". This means the EX weapon, which normally consumes 4 MP, costs only 1 MP, making it almost spammable. Furthermore, when piloting a unit with the "Zero System" tag, he gains +5 MP at battle start and 15% damage reduction. Combined with his active MP Up skill, Heero can easily reach Super Critical state in the first turn, offering exceptional smoothness in gameplay.
The only downside is that he lacks an active damage skill like "Attack Burst," so his burst ceiling is lower than pilots like Setsuna or Shinn Asuka.
Pulling Advice
- For Meta Players: Wing Zero's current strength is T0.5, mainly limited by the lack of a tag supporter. If you already have Strike Freedom or Double X, it might be wise to wait for the Tenacious supporter's release. However, if you lack a top-tier farmer, the value of its post-move MAP is irreplaceable.
- For F2P / Low Spenders: Not recommended to go all-in. Wing Zero needs its pilot and future supporter to reach its full potential. Players with limited resources should prioritize pulling for 00 Raiser for a safer investment.
- For Fans / Whales: Aesthetics are forever. Wing Zero's model and animations are a treat for any Wing fan. Plus, Heero, as a triple-action ranged pilot, performs well on other beam-based units, so pulling him isn't a loss.
00 Raiser (Final Battle Type): The Ultimate Bastion of Offense and Defense

If Wing Zero is an agile assassin, then 00 Raiser is a tank that bulldozes forward. Hailed by multiple sources as "the strongest defender, bar none," and after practical testing, this evaluation is not an exaggeration.
Unit Strength Deep Dive
Stats & Skills:
00 Raiser's max limit break stats: DEF a staggering 13,247, HP over 116,000, and ATK at 10,627 – approaching the level of many older attackers. It also has all-terrain adaptability (except underwater), 5 MOV, and a built-in shield.
Its defensive mechanics are truly luxurious:

- Passive "Increased DEF & EN Recovery": Self DEF +15%, restore 5% EN at the start of each turn.
- Passive "GN Field LV4": Reduces damage from physical/beam attacks by 20%, nullifies damage 4,500 or less.
- Normal + Super Critical ATK stack: +10% ATK normally, an additional +10% during Super Critical, for a total of +20%.
- Active Skill (once per battle): Increase ATK by 25% and DEF by 15% for one turn.

Stacked together, when 00 Raiser activates its active skill, its DEF reaches ~16,559 and ATK reaches ~14,008. These numbers mean it can tank EX skills from most attackers while dealing damage comparable to mid-tier attackers.
Its EX weapon "Raiser Sword EX": Range 1-4, Power 7,200, with Absolute Hit, ignores damage reduction, and inflicts a 35% ATK Down debuff for 1 turn. Its only drawback is the 4 MP consumption.

Core Mechanic: Super Critical EX Transformation and the MP Dilemma
00 Raiser's true burst potential comes from Setsuna's EX Character Ability: entering Super Critical triggers "Supercharged EX1" and "Supercharged EX2" two-stage enhancements, ultimately granting 50% Melee boost, 15% damage reduction, and MP Lock. Combined with the active 25% ATK boost, his damage output instantly maxes out.
The problem lies in the EX weapon's 4 MP cost, while Setsuna starts with only 5 MP. He needs other ways to build MP before firing off his EX on the first turn. This means the 00 Raiser + Setsuna combo cannot achieve first-turn burst unless piloted by someone with higher starting MP, like Shinn Asuka. As noted by some, Shinn piloting 00 Raiser can deal 700k+ damage, but this wastes Setsuna's unique Super Critical transformation.
Tags & Role: Ace Unit + Lightning-Fast + Shippujinrai
00 Raiser has the "Ace Unit," "Lightning-Fast," and the new tag "Shippujinrai." The first two have established limited supporters, and Shippujinrai has its new ship, the Ptolemaios 2, as a counterpart. Its tag synergy is the best among the three units, allowing it to be seamlessly integrated into existing powerful teams.
Pilot Deep Dive: Setsuna F. Seiei
Base Stats & Skills
Setsuna has 703 Melee, a high 808 Defense, and 600 Reaction. His active skills are very practical:
- MP Up LV5 (SP3): MP +7.
- Attack Burst LV5 (SP5): Damage dealt +25% (1 turn).
- Sway LV2 (SP7): 100% Evasion rate in the next battle.
His passive, "True Innovator LV5," provides 25% to Defense and Reaction. "Support Defense LV5" grants him 2 Support Defense chances.
EX Character Ability:
Setsuna's EX ability has three layers:

- When piloting 00 Raiser and HP reaches 0, revives once (restores 7% HP).
- When piloting a "Gundam" + "00" series unit and in Super Critical state, enters EX1 state (+20% Melee/Reaction, 5% damage reduction, MP Lock) for 1 turn, then EX2 state (+50% Melee/Reaction, 15% damage reduction, MP Lock) for 1 turn, after which MP decreases by 12.
- A small passive provides +5% Melee.
This mechanic turns Setsuna into a terrifying Melee monster after entering Super Critical, with his Melee stat potentially reaching 1,054, coupled with high damage reduction. The downside is the vulnerability period two turns after the transformation, requiring careful rhythm management.
Pulling Advice
- For Meta Players: 00 Raiser is the single most worthwhile investment in the current environment, bar none. Whether in high-difficulty PVE or PVP, its combination of offense and defense is on a different level. The only consideration is the MP consumption. If you have Shinn Asuka or other high-starting MP pilots, 00 Raiser can achieve maximum damage output. If not, Setsuna himself is still plenty strong.
- For F2P / Low Spenders: Prioritize pulling for 00 Raiser. A single 00 Raiser + Setsuna can carry both your team's tanking and damage needs, offering incredible value. Aim for at least one copy of the unit, then consider limit breaks if resources allow.
- For Fans / Whales: The returns on max limit breaking 00 Raiser are extremely high, further inflating its Defense and GN Field values. Paired with the Ptolemaios 2 supporter, you can build an nearly unstoppable iron fortress.
Tallgeese III
Compared to the dazzling performances of the previous two, Tallgeese III’s role is much more low-key: it is a pure support unit and the only permanent (non-limited) unit in this banner.

Unit Strength Deep Dive
Stats & Skills: Moderate
At max limit break, Tallgeese III has a modest ATK of 9,985, DEF of 11,618, MOB of 11,688, and HP around 100,000. Its overall stats lean towards Defense and Mobility, with ATK being notably low.

Its EX weapon "Mega Cannon EX": Range 1-4, Power 6,600, with Absolute Hit, ignores damage reduction, and inflicts a 35% DEF Down debuff for 1 turn. The DEF Down is a good support ability, but its 4-range requires getting close to the front lines.
Its standard weapon "Mega Cannon": Range 3-5, Power 5,040, Accuracy 90%, with an "Increased Beam Damage" effect (+25% damage taken from beam weapons). This is Tallgeese III's core support tool: applying a beam vulnerability debuff on enemies allows allied beam attacks to deal significantly higher damage.
Its MAP weapon "Mega Cannon": 3x6 fan shape, Power 4,560, usable before moving, 1 ammo. A standard map weapon with no outstanding features.
Core Mechanic: Super Critical +1 Range, but Difficult to Achieve
Tallgeese III's pilot, Preventer Wind, has a key EX ability: when piloting Tallgeese III and Vigor is Supercharged or higher, the max range of Beam Weapons is increased by 1. This means the EX weapon becomes 1-5 range, and the standard Mega Cannon becomes 3-6 range, greatly enhancing his support range.
The problem is that Preventer Wind has no MP Up skills and cannot quickly reach Supercharged state at the start of battle. This passive is essentially non-existent in PVP and only has a chance to be triggered in manual PVE play.
Tags & Role:
Tallgeese III's tags are "One-Shot Killer" and "Tenacious." The One-Shot Killer tag already has core units like Strike Freedom, Double X, and God Gundam, and Tallgeese III's damage cannot compete. The Tenacious tag lacks a supporter, making its future uncertain. Its role is more of a "nice to have if you pull it, no loss if you don't" companion unit.
Pilot Deep Dive: Preventer Wind
Base Stats & Skills
Preventer Wind's stats: Ranged 806, Melee 700, Defense 561, Reaction 540. Active skills:
- Increased ACC and EVA LV3 (SP5): +25% ACC/EVA (1 turn).
- Attack Burst LV4 (SP5): Damage dealt +20% (1 turn).
- EN Charge LV3 (SP10): Self EN recovery 50%.
His passive provides "Support Attack/Counter +2 times" and +20% Ranged, making him a standard support pilot.
EX Character Ability:
Preventer Wind's EX ability has two highlights:
- When piloting Tallgeese III, grants all allied units in the same squad bearing the "New Mobile Report Gundam Wing" series a permanent +5% ATK .
- +1 range to Beam Weapons when in Supercharged state or higher.
Although the 5% aura is not a high number, it covers many Wing series units (including Wing Zero, Tallgeese III itself, and potential future EW Gundam pilots). If you plan to build a mono-Wing team, this aura holds some value.
Unfortunately, he lacks passives like "Support Attack Power Increase," making his support capabilities inferior to other top-tier support pilots.
Pulling Advice
- For Meta Players: Skip directly. Tallgeese III's damage and support capabilities are not up to par for top-tier teams. Your resources are better spent on 00 Raiser or Wing Zero.
- For F2P / Low Spenders: Absolutely do not pull Typeifically for Tallgeese III. It is a permanent unit with a decent chance of appearing as an off-banner pull later. If you get it, keep it as an aura bot for a Wing team. If not, don't worry.
- For Fans / Whales: If you are determined to build an all-star Wing series team, Tallgeese III's aura and +1 range passive can have a place in manual PVE play. However, it requires pairing with other pilots who can help it reach Supercharged state quickly (like supports with MP Up), making it somewhat cumbersome in practice.
Conclusion
The three units in the anniversary banner each have their own strengths. But whether you're aiming for 00 Raiser's invincible fortress or Wing Zero's mobile map cannon, ample diamond reserves are essential. LDShop now offers anniversary-exclusive promotions, providing safe, fast, and cost-effective top-up services to help you easily acquire your desired units and pilots. We wish all commanders the best of luck with their pulls. See you next time!
