Play Duelist: Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths:

• Blazing speed: You’ll almost always act first in turn order.
• High crit rate & crit damage: Perfect for shredding bosses.
• Great dodging/evasion.
• Cheat-death mechanics: Indomitable Will lets you survive lethal hits.
• Amazing for pushing content with big power deficits: Outperform other classes when you’re under-geared.

Weaknesses:

• Melee range: Some encounters punish close combat.
• Early on, elemental affinities are limited
• Some techniques need heavy investment to truly shine.

Best Stats to Prioritize

The Duelist is a pure damage machine. Keep it simple.

Top Priority:

• Physical Mastery: Your number one damage scaler.
• Crit Rate / Crit Damage: More crits = more pain.
• Attack (flat & percent): Always welcome.

Secondary (still valuable):

• Speed (SPD): Going first wins fights, especially in PvP mirrors.
• HP: Pairs beautifully with lifesteal and the “Blade of Lament” charm (heals up to 50% of max HP).

Sylvaerie: Buffs your Attack and Speed permanently. Perfect for Duelists who want to go first and hit hard. When evolved to Adult, it also delays enemy actions: even better.

Terragon: Physical damage synergy and attack reduction on enemies. Solid until you get Nyxarchon.

Special mention: Kels is free to farm and amazing for PvP.

For PvP, don’t sleep on Aegiswing: an extra cheat death plus taunt can turn fights around.

 

Skill Builds: Three Powerful Setups

We’ve got multiple builds depending on what you’re fighting. Remember to experiment based on your unlocked cores.

1. AoE Bladestorm

Techniques
Boiling Bloodlust：Buffs your crit rate & crit damage for 4 turns. Always first.	Gravity Pull: Yanks all enemies toward you.	Whirlwind Slash: Deals 4 hits to all enemies around you.	Sunset Sword: Massive 5-hit AoE in a 3x2 rectangle.
Charms
Insightful Eye :+crit rate	Crit Mastery :+crit damage	Blade Tempest :40% chance for bonus wind damage on each hit	Blade of Lament :lifesteal, heal on every damage instance

Warning: This build really needs the three core skills unlocked (Boiling Bloodlust, Gravity Pull, Whirlwind Slash). Without them, don’t force it.

2. Doom Burst (Single Target / Bosses)

Techniques
Leap Attack: Armor break + vulnerability.	Shattering Sigil: Increases damage taken by the enemy.	Darkness Descends: Big dark damage + dispels one buff.	Heavy Impact: Massive damage + knocks enemy airborne.
Charms
Insightful Eye :+crit rate	Indomitable Will (core): Survive lethal damage with 1 HP, then heal for 2 turns. Scales with max HP.	Frame of Battles: Reduces damage taken for every 15% HP lost (stacks 5 times, can’t be dispelled). This combo makes you nearly unkillable at low HP.	Blade of Lament :lifesteal, heal on every damage instance

 

This is also your PvP survivor build. Swap out damage passives for more defense if needed (like Hundred Battles / Unyielding).

3. Dark-Fire Elemental Flow (Anti-Knight / PvP)

Use this when fighting Knights in arena: physical builds get walled, but elemental damage cuts through.

Flash Dash :AoE + mobility	Flame Aura: insanely strong: deals 3–4x stated damage due to mechanics	Phantom Assault :single target + reposition	Diving Gale :wind AoE

This build has lower damage ceiling than physical, but it’s the answer to high-defense tanks.

Relics: Best Picks by Element

Relics are RNG-heavy, but aim for these. Remember that percent stats on relics scale off relic flat stats, not total character stats: so flat bonuses matter more early on.

• Storm’s Eye

• F2P-friendly? Duelist scales well with investment, but even low-spenders can push far by focusing on crit rate and block.
