While the current shop offers two Mythic Fantomons—Aegiswing and Nyxarchon—both requiring 60 Summon Crystals each, a third contender is on the horizon for Season 2, and it's poised to dethrone them both in terms of sheer versatility.
This guide will break down exactly what Pandariel does, why it's being hailed as the most important Phantom in the game, how it compares to the existing Mythic options, and—most critically—which classes benefit the most and how to build around it.
What Does Pandariel Actually Do?
Let's start with the passive that makes Pandariel so special: Ink Burst.
"The cooldowns of all Techniques for 1 turn are reduced at the start of the battle. They also receive a DMG boost for the rest of the battle."
Here's what that means in practice. Most abilities with a 1-turn cooldown start the battle on cooldown—you don't cast them on Turn 0. You wait until Turn 1. Pandariel's Ink Burst reduces all of your Technique cooldowns by 1 turn at the start of battle, meaning those 1-turn cooldown abilities become available immediately.
Important clarification: The cooldown reduction is only for the first turn—it is not permanent throughout the battle. However, the damage boost does persist for the entire fight. This distinction is crucial for understanding how to build around Pandariel.
So what does this actually look like in combat?
- Without Pandariel: Your 1-turn cooldown abilities cast on Turn 1, then again on Turn 3, Turn 5, etc.
- With Pandariel: Your 1-turn cooldown abilities cast on Turn 0(immediately), then again on Turn 2, Turn 4, etc.
You're effectively one full turn ahead of anyone not running Pandariel. In PvP, that's the difference between bursting your opponent down before they can even react and watching them get their rotation off first.
But wait—there's more. In its adult form, Pandariel gains:
- Bamboo Gale: Deals damage
- Fragility: Increases damage taken by enemies by 5%
- Emerald Dew: Replenishes HP of all allies within 4 grids
That's right—Pandariel does everything. Damage, healing, debuffing, and the most powerful passive in the game.
Pandariel vs. Nyxarchon vs. Aegiswing: The Mythic Showdown
Right now, the shop offers two Mythic Fantomons: Aegiswing(60 Crystals) and Nyxarchon (60 Crystals). Both are powerful in their respective niches. But how do they stack up against Pandariel?
Nyxarchon: The Damage Dealer
Nyxarchon's passive, Requiem Blast, deals Dark DMG to the target and all enemies within 2 grids whenever you use a damaging Technique. It also inflicts a 10% DEF Reduction that can stack up to 3 times (max -30% DEF).
Pros:
- Highest raw damage output among the Mythics
- Defense reduction benefits your entire team
- Excellent for Sorcerer/Archmage and any magic DPS build
Cons:
- Nyxarchon dies very quickly in PvP
- If it dies, you lose a significant portion of its damage contribution
- Niche—primarily benefits DPS classes, not tanks or healers
Aegiswing: The Survivability Specialist
Aegiswing's passive, Radiant Sanctuary, grants the character Guardian Angel for 3 turns at the start of battle. When the buff expires, it restores 50% of lost HP and grants Power Unsealed for the rest of the battle.
Pros:
- Prevents fatal damage—one of the strongest survival mechanics available
- Excellent for Knight/Guardian and tank builds
- Great for solo players who need survivability
Cons:
- Niche—primarily benefits tanks and survival builds
- Less valuable if incoming damage doesn't threaten your HP threshold
- Lower damage contribution than Nyxarchon
Pandariel: The Generalist
Pros:
- Every class can use Pandariel effectively—there is no class that doesn't benefit
- Cooldown reduction + damage boost + fragility + healing in one package
- Works in PvE, PvP, dungeons, and solo content
- Passive is always active—no RNG, no conditions
Cons:
- Not yet available (coming in Season 2)
- Requires saving resources in advance
If you're a mid-to-high spender, going for Nyxarchon now to push content isn't a bad play—the raw damage is immense. But if you're free-to-play or a dolphin, saving for Pandariel is the smarter long-term play.
Why? Because Nyxarchon's value is tied to damage, and damage is something you can get elsewhere. Pandariel's value is tied to turn economy—something no other Phantom provides. And as seasons progress and new abilities are added, classes will have more cooldowns to manage. Pandariel's cooldown reduction will only become more valuable over time, while Nyxarchon's raw damage may eventually be power-crept.
Class-Specific Build Recommendations
Conqueror (Berserker Path)
The Conqueror is arguably the biggest winner with Pandariel. This class already runs defense reduction in its kit (via Piercing Assault and Tactical Adaptation), so Nyxarchon's DEF reduction has diminishing returns. What the Conqueror actually needs is faster burst and more frequent casts.
Recommended Conqueror Skill Build:
- Flash Fire ➡️ Flame Aura ➡️ Flickering Blade ➡️ Blade Storm
- Charms: Insightful Eye, Piercing Assault, Tactical Adaptation, Indomitable Will
With Pandariel, Flickering Blade—widely considered the best skill at this tier—casts immediately on Turn 0 instead of Turn 1. That's a massive burst advantage in both PvE and PvP.
Why Pandariel over Nyxarchon for Conqueror:The Conqueror already has defense reduction. What it lacks is the ability to frontload damage. Pandariel gives you that.
Destroyer (Archmage Path)
Destroyers (Archmages) benefit heavily from Pandariel's cooldown reduction. The class revolves around powerful elemental spells with cooldowns, and getting those spells off a turn earlier is game-changing.
Recommended Destroyer Skill Build:
- Formation Breaker ➡️ Howling Hurricane ➡️ Meteoric Flames ➡️ Wind Blade Spiral
- Charms: Rapid Cast, Void Bubble, Cyclone Lament, Radiant Sear
Critical synergy: Combining Pandariel with Rapid Cast allows you to cast 2-turn cooldown abilities on Turn 0 as well. The burst potential is terrifying—you can essentially delete opponents in PvP before they even get a turn.
Why Pandariel over Nyxarchon for Destroyer: Nyxarchon is excellent for Destroyers—it's considered the priority pick for Sorcerers. However, Pandariel gives you the same damage boost plus cooldown reduction plus healing plus fragility. The value proposition is simply higher for free-to-play and dolphin players who can only afford one Mythic.
Guardian (Knight Path)
Guardians have a unique synergy with Aegiswing through Soul Protection—a skill that consumes 50% of HP to create a shield. Aegiswing's Radiant Sanctuary heals you back up and prevents death. This is an incredibly strong combination.
However, Pandariel is still an excellent choice for Guardians. Why?
- You'll be shielding, healing, and attacking more frequently
- The damage boost applies to all your abilities
- Fragility increases damage taken by enemies, benefiting your entire party
- Emerald Dew provides team healing
Recommended Guardian Skill Build:
- Luminous Shield ➡️ Valor Surge ➡️ Leap Attack ➡️ Guardian Ring
- Charms: Block Awareness, Counter Blade, Rebound, Iron Fortress
The takeaway: If you're a dedicated Guardian tank and you have the resources, Aegiswing is still phenomenal. But if you're a free-to-play Guardian who can only invest in one Mythic Phantom, Pandariel gives you more general utility across all content types.
Sage (Healer Path)
Sages benefit from Pandariel in a unique way. The class can run healing, erosion, or PvP builds, and Pandariel's versatility complements all of them.
Recommended Sage Healer Build:
- Void Blessing ➡️ Healing Touch ➡️ Radiant Restoration ➡️ Iron Thorn
- Charms: Resurrection, Healing Mastery, Tough Soul, Gale Shield
With Pandariel, your healing Techniques come off cooldown faster, and your team benefits from the damage boost and fragility debuff.
Why Pandariel over Aegiswing for Sage: Aegiswing is recommended for Sage in PvP and PvE, and Mandragora is great for healing builds. But Pandariel offers a damage boost that helps your team kill things faster—and sometimes the best healing is killing the enemy before they can hurt you.
How to Get Pandariel and What to Save
Pandariel is coming in Season 2. If you're a free-to-play or dolphin player, here's my recommendation:
- Save your Summon Crystals.The gacha rates are brutal—0.8% for Mythic (SSR) Fantomons. You need120 Summon Crystals to guarantee an adult Pandariel (60 for the base, 60 for the duplicate needed for evolution).
- Don't waste Crystals on early pulls. Many experienced players recommend saving summon materials until level 50 when the Fantomon system unlocks. Every crystal you spend before then is a crystal you're not spending on Pandariel.
- Use Sylvaerie or other Legendaries as placeholders. Sylvaerie costs only 18 Summon Crystals and provides an ATK boost. It's a solid stopgap while you save for Pandariel.
- If you already have Nyxarchon or Aegiswing, keep them in their baby form.Evolving them costs resources you could be saving for Pandariel. The baby versions still provide decent value.
- Plan for the duplicate.To evolve Pandariel to its Materialization form at level 108, you need a second copy. That's 120 Crystals total. Don't stop at 60.
The Bottom Line
Pandariel is the most generalist Phantom in the game. There is no Phantom that gives you as much value from a general standpoint. Yes, there are niche situations where other Phantoms are better:
- Aegiswing is better for dedicated tanks
- Nyxarchon deals more raw damage
- Mandragora heals more in dedicated healing builds
But Pandariel doeseverything well enoughthat it's never a bad choice. It's the Phantom you can slot into any build, on any class, and see immediate improvement.
