Who Is Merlin?

Merlin is the Boar's Sin of Gluttony and the greatest sorcerer in all of Britannia. Her sin of Gluttony isn't about food — it's an insatiable hunger for knowledge, magic, and the things she's never been able to fully possess. Born in Belialuin, the City of Sages, she was raised as an experimental subject and forced into endless magical study from childhood. She eventually escaped and crossed paths with Meliodas, becoming one of the founding members of the Seven Deadly Sins. Her signature ability, Infinity, makes the effects of her spells permanent once cast — an ability so powerful it unsettled both the Demon King and the Supreme Deity, both of whom tried to recruit her.

In Origin, Merlin is an SSR hero arriving in Version 1.5 with three weapon paths: Grimoire, Wand, and Staff. Each path gives her a meaningfully different playstyle — Grimoire runs a Cold Attacker route built around Frost Mark and freezing, Wand focuses on Lightning through Overload and Vulnerable stacks, and Staff takes a Fire Burster approach using a decoy to build Burst Gauge before unleashing her Ultimate.

Soft pity begins around draw 60, so SSR pull rates increase noticeably before the hard 80-draw ceiling. The 120-draw Merlin guarantee resets when this banner ends and does not carry forward.

Merlin's Potential Point can be purchased up to 2 times per server from the Exchange Shop (Shop → Exchange Shop → Star Trace Crystalloid) for as long as the banner is active.

 

Sacred Treasure: Morning Star Aldan — Merlin Skin Banner

Running alongside the pick-up is Merlin's Exclusive Skin banner. The first draw is free; subsequent draws require Exclusive Skin Draw Tickets. Tickets do not expire after this banner ends — they carry over to future skin banners.

Both banners share the SSR Pick Up guaranteed counter — meaning pity progress applies to whichever banner you're pulling on at the time.

Daisy's skin banner also returns for Version 1.5. If you pulled on this banner during Version 1.1, your draw progress carries over directly — for example, if you completed draw 5 previously, this banner opens from draw 6. The free first draw is not given again if you already used it in 1.1.

Should You Pull Merlin?

Merlin is one of the most well-known characters in the Seven Deadly Sins franchise, and her three-weapon kit makes her one of the more versatile SSR attackers added to Origin so far. Each weapon path targets a different element and playstyle, so she fits into a wider range of team comps than most single-niche DPS heroes.

Pull if:

• You want a high-priority magic DPS who can flex across Cold, Lightning, or Fire setups
• You have guaranteed pity from Clotho's banner (the 80-draw SSR carry-over works in your favor)
• You have enough tickets to comfortably reach at least 80 draws

Consider waiting if:

• Your current DPS roster is already strong and you'd rather save for future banners
• You're F2P with limited tickets and can't commit to the banner without going dry

Both use Hero Pick Up Draw Tickets and share a pity counter. You can pull on both, but most F2P players won't have enough tickets to guarantee both — focus on whichever character fills the bigger gap in your roster.

Does the Daisy skin banner progress carry over from Version 1.1?

Yes. If you previously pulled on The Fresh Scent of Autumn during Version 1.1, your draw count picks up where it left off. The free draw is only available once across both runs.
