Best Clotho Build Guide | Seven Deadly Sins: Origin

Clotho joined The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin in Version 1.3 Part 1, arriving after the May 13 maintenance through the Clotho Pick Up – Enigmatic Helper banner. As a new SSR hero, she can use Rapier, Grimoire, and Staff, but her Rapier build is currently the cleanest place to start. This Clotho build guide covers her best stats, rotation, weapons, team comp, and Potential priority for a Wind Burst-focused setup.

Clotho Overview

Clotho is an SSR character in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin with three weapon paths: Rapier as a Wind Buster, Book as an Ice Warden, and Staff as a Wind Attacker.

For build purposes, her Rapier kit is the cleanest and most complete direction to invest in right now.

Her core gameplay revolves around applying Spatial Rift, converting it into Dimensional Rift through Wind Burst, then cashing out with guaranteed critical follow-up damage and a Wind damage vulnerability window. She also has the adventure skill Spatial Fracture, which lets her summon a clone and teleport to that location for a limited time.

 

Best Clotho Build

The best Clotho build should focus on her Rapier Wind Buster setup. This build makes the most sense because her Rapier passive directly interacts with Wind Burst, Spatial Rift, and Dimensional Rift. After five hits, Clotho applies Spatial Rift to an enemy. When she activates Wind Burst on that target, Spatial Rift is removed and Dimensional Rift is applied instead. Spatial Rift reduces Wind Burst Resistance by 20%, while Dimensional Rift deals Wind damage as critical hits over time and triggers another critical hit when removed.

Because of that, Clotho wants stats that help her reach Burst windows quickly and make her critical damage payoff hit harder. Her best stat direction is:

Wind Damage > Physical Attack Increase > Crit Damage > Normal Skill Damage > Ultimate Move Damage > Crit Chance

 

Clotho Rotation

Normal Attacks → Inscription Chase: Piercing Chain → Wind Burst → Rune Inscription: Collapse → Storm Slash → Swap / Rebuild Rift

Use Normal Attacks first to apply Spatial Rift, then cast Inscription Chase: Piercing Chain to gain Burst Gauge and trigger her setup window. After that, activate Wind Burst to convert Spatial Rift into Dimensional Rift. Use Rune Inscription: Collapse during this window to apply the Wind damage debuff, then finish with Storm Slash to consume Dimensional Rift and trigger extra critical damage. After the combo, swap to your Wind DPS or rebuild Rift with Clotho.

 

Best Weapon for Clotho

Best weapon: Gluttonous Soul Rapier

Gluttonous Soul Rapier is the strongest fit for Rapier Clotho because it gives Wind Damage as its weapon stat and its passive, Expanding Rift, activates after using Special Attack, increasing Wind Burst Efficiency and Crit Damage for 10 seconds. This lines up almost perfectly with Clotho’s rotation, since her Special Attack helps generate Burst Gauge and her passive wants her to trigger Wind Burst on enemies affected by Spatial Rift.

Alternative: Black Flame Wings Rapier

Black Flame Wings Rapier is a strong general DPS option. It gives Crit Damage as its weapon stat, and its passive increases Attack and Crit Chance for 10 seconds after activating Burst. This is still excellent on Clotho, especially if you want stronger overall burst damage instead of leaning fully into Wind Burst Efficiency.

Budget weapon: Crimson Flame Rapier

Crimson Flame Rapier is the best lower-rarity fallback. It also gives Crit Damage, and its passive increases Attack after Burst activation. It does not match Gluttonous Soul Rapier’s Wind-specific synergy, but it is much easier to justify as a practical early or mid-game weapon.

 

Best Clotho Team

Clotho	Elaine	Daisy	Howzer
Rapier	Wand	Wand	Nunchaku

This team is the cleanest recommendation because every slot has a confirmed Wind-related role. Clotho provides the Rift and Wind Burst engine, Elaine gives the team a dedicated Wind attacker, Daisy fills the Wind supporter slot, and Howzer gives the team a Wind Warden option for survivability. The current character database confirms Elaine as a Wind Attacker, Daisy as a Wind Supporter, and Howzer as a Wind Warden / Wind Supporter option.

 

Clotho Potential Priority

F2P / low-spender stopping point: Tier V

Tier V is the first major stopping point. This unlocks her important Wind Burst Efficiency boost and makes her Rift setup much smoother.

Recommended practical stopping point: Tier VII

Tier VII is the second key upgrade. This gives her both the Tier V Burst setup and stronger Normal Skill payoff, which fits her Rapier rotation very well.

Whale / long-term investment target: Tier X

Tier X upgrades her Ultimate heavily. This turns her Ultimate into a serious Wind team damage tool with extra Attack scaling and Wind Defense reduction.
