Version 2.5.500 has rolled out for Tiles Survive!, and it's one of the more content-heavy patches in the 2.5.x cycle. Alongside the headline dragon-themed collection event, this update addresses a notable Infected Fiend tech bug with a full resource refund, bumps Speedup rewards across several key activities, and improves two quality-of-life systems that have frustrated players for a while. If you haven't updated yet, head to your app store first — some of the new content is only accessible after updating.

Awakening of Dragons: A New Long-Term Progression Track
The headline feature of 2.5.500 is the Awakening of Dragons, a seasonal collection event built entirely around a dragon theme. Players collect Cards through gameplay to work toward exclusive rewards tied to the event's progression line — and critically, it functions as a new "cultivation track" running parallel to the game's existing systems.
Collection-style seasons in Tiles Survive follow a familiar rhythm: daily engagement wins out over one-time resource dumps. The card accumulation is designed to reward players who check in consistently rather than those who try to blitz the event in a single session. If you've participated in past themed seasons, the structure will feel familiar — prioritize completing your daily event tasks and any relevant activity milestones before spending extra resources trying to rush ahead.

The full card-to-reward exchange breakdown and event end date should be visible in the in-game event tab once you've updated. Given this is introduced as a new "cultivation line," it's likely intended to carry forward across multiple update cycles rather than ending with this patch, though the developers haven't confirmed that explicitly.
Infected Fiend Conquest Tech Fix — And a Full Refund
Two techs in the Infected Fiend Conquest tree — EXP Bonus and Speedup Items — have been corrected in 2.5.500, and the fix comes with an important player-friendly gesture.
The core correction: these bonuses apply only to the Rally leader who successfully defeats an Infected Fiend. They were never intended to benefit Rally participants. The issue was that a bug was causing both techs to grant unintended bonus rewards to players assisting in Rallies — effectively giving payouts to people the system wasn't designed to reward in that way.
For any Chief who upgraded these techs before the patch, the refund is automatic: all resources spent will be returned in full, and your current tech progress is preserved. You keep the upgrades, you get your resources back. It's a clean resolution — no setback to your progression, just a correction to how the rewards are distributed going forward.
This is also worth keeping in mind strategically. If you were factoring Rally assist rewards from these techs into your resource calculations, those won't apply after this update. The bonuses now only activate when you're leading a successful Rally against an Infected Fiend.
Speedup Rewards Increased in Key Activities
The patch brings meaningful Speedup boosts to three separate activities:
|
Activity |
Change |
|
Arcadian Conquest & State Clash (Battle Phase)
|
+20h universal Speedups added to Solo Progress Rewards |
|
Reservoir Raid Solo Milestones |
Healing Speedups doubled |
|
Infected Fiend Aid Crates |
Upgraded to Epic quality — guaranteed 5m Speedups, with a chance for 15m or an Advanced Recruitment Token |
The Infected Fiend Aid Crate upgrade is the standout change here. Prior to 2.5.500, these crates dropped lower-quality rewards with less predictable returns. Now at Epic quality, every crate guarantees a 5-minute universal Speedup at minimum, with a chance to land a 15-minute Speedup or an Advanced Recruitment Token. For players actively farming Infected Fiends, this makes Aid Crates worth picking up consistently rather than ignoring in favor of other reward sources.
The Reservoir Raid Healing Speedup doubling is also significant for anyone who runs heavy troop healing cycles during Raid windows. Healing Speedups have historically been one of the more scarce speed categories compared to universal ones, so a straight doubling of the Solo Milestone output is a genuine improvement to resource flow for active Raid participants.

Smarter Event Result Mails for Clash Events
Result mails for Oil Clash, Gene Clash, and Copper Clash have been overhauled. Previously, these post-event mails were fairly barebones — they confirmed outcomes without providing much context on how your alliance performed relative to the field. Now, result mails will include key statistics and ranking information from the full event period, giving alliance leaders and R4s a much cleaner picture of where things stood.
Alongside this, a Territory Battle Log has been added to the same events. Accessible to alliance members ranked R4 and above, the log shows attack records from the current event cycle. This is a notable organizational improvement — previously, piecing together what actually happened during a Clash required either coordination in chat or memory. With the Battle Log, R4s can review the full attack record after the fact and use it to plan more effectively going into the next cycle.
Auto Help Now Works While You're Offline
The Auto Help system for Timer Help received two adjustments that make it more reliable in practice.
The Quick Help bubble still appears on your main screen as usual — you can tap it manually to help, or leave it for Auto Help to handle. Once a request is automatically processed, the bubble clears on its own. The bigger change is the offline behavior: Auto Help now remains active while you're not in the game, processing eligible help requests every minute automatically. Previously, the system required you to be active for auto-processing to occur, which meant missed help windows for players who couldn't check in regularly.
For anyone in an active alliance where timer help requests flow in constantly throughout the day, this removes a consistent friction point without requiring any extra effort on your part.
FAQ
Do I need to update manually to access 2.5.500 content?
Yes. The Awakening of Dragons event, the Infected Fiend tech fix, and all other changes are only active once you've updated via the App Store or Google Play.
I upgraded the Infected Fiend EXP Bonus or Speedup Items tech before this patch. What happens?
All resources spent on those techs will be refunded automatically. Your tech progress is preserved — no rollback, just a full refund deposited to your account.
Is the Awakening of Dragons event time-limited?
It's introduced as a seasonal collection event with a new cultivation line, so it will have a limited window. Check the in-game event tab for the exact schedule after updating.
Does the Auto Help change apply even if I close the app entirely?
Yes — the patch notes confirm Auto Help stays active while offline, processing eligible requests every minute automatically.
The Speedup increases in Arcadian Conquest and State Clash — do these apply to all phases?
Only the battle phase of those events. The 20h universal Speedup addition is specifically tied to Solo Progress Rewards during that phase.
Will the Territory Battle Log show records from past event cycles?
Based on the patch notes, the log covers the current event cycle only. It's designed for post-event review within the same cycle, not historical records.
