Tomb Busters is one of the fast-paced games that does not let the players get bored of it. The goal is to loot as much as you can and come out of the tomb gate safely. To successfully do that, you need characters who can navigate the map, survive the traps and enemies and have exceptional mobility. If your character does not save stamina, warn the squad about nearby ghosts, or keep the looted coffin safe, they quickly fall down the ranks.
Let’s follow LDShop, as in this guide, we rank all the best characters in Tomb Busters according to their utility in your squad. After following this guide, you can identify who is worth your investment and commands the solo or squad playstyles. So, let’s get started!

Tomb Busters Tier List
The Tomb Busters Tier list ranges from S-tier to C-tier. Here is what each tier means:
- S-Tier: These characters are the best to dictate how the game is played. They are often considered mandatory for clearing the game content.
- A-Tier: These characters are exceptionally powerful and form the backbone of top-tier squad compositions. They also support, defend, or act as radar for exploration.
- B-Tier: These characters are viable but their performance is often heavily dependent on specific maps, team comps, or builds.
- C-Tier: Characters in this tier are only good for early-game or beginners.

S-Tier Characters
Vivienne
Vivienne is universally considered the single most important character in Tomb Busters. She can handle both solo and coordinated group playstyles. Her active ability is called Forge’s Blessing. This skill allows Vivienne to physically reroll an opened coffin or chest. This way, you can get rid of low-value RNG items found in the chests and transform them into higher-value items.
Her defense ability, the Wanderer’s Song, generates a faint purple mist that alerts anyone nearby when there is a monster in the adjacent room. Combined with her Eye of Hocus, she can clear a map safely.

Brimlight
Brimlight is the second-best in the game as she can command the timer. She is the definitive pick for players who want to clear the maps faster. Her unique ability, Notch in Time, can rewind her personal movement path and instantly teleport her back to a previous safe position.
If you pair Brimlight with Vivienne, you do not have to worry about dying. Brimlight can sprint straight into a dangerous, trap-heavy vault, Vivienne can reroll the high-tier coffins and then Brimlight can instantly rewind to the main hallway. This way, you can completely bypass tricky puzzles and lethal ghosts.

A-Tier Characters
MS.7
If you constantly find yourself getting lost in randomized mazes, MS.7 is your best choice. Her powerful skill, called Advanced Scanner, casts a color-coded path tracking web across vertical floors. It instantly maps out loot paths, pinpoints monster patrol patterns, and highlights hidden extraction points. Also, when a monster chases her, MS.7 receives a massive passive reduction to her stamina consumption via the Quick Escape skill.

Lily
Lily is a masterclass in co-op support, built specifically to empower a front-line character like Vivienne or Brimlight. Lily can physically possess a teammate via her Haunting Companion skill and ride on their back as a companion nicknamed Bubu. While attached, she absorbs a significant portion of the host's incoming damage and reduces the time of their ability cooldowns.
Also, while Lily is riding on a teammate, the team's overall stamina consumption drops because of the Together in Suffering skill. Furthermore, she can deploy a remote projection to scout dangerous hallways ahead while keeping her actual body safely tethered to the frontline teammate.

Caine
When an extraction route gets blocked by an aggressive boss, you need Caine to work your way through combat. His skill Tian-Gang Surge and other passive abilities can perform heavy monster wipeouts.
His kit focuses on crowd control, drawing aggro away from carrying units, and buying time for teammates to haul heavy loot crates back to the exfil elevator. Caine has the highest physical health stat and stagger resistance in the game.

Linyun
Linyun acts as an essential lifeline for squads with her shielding support. Her active ability, Dragonrise Cloudstride, deploys a spectral dragon to shield all the teammates. Her passive skill, United in Battle, applies a localized hard-stun to hunting monsters.
This combination makes her an elite support who is capable of halting an aggressive ghost hunt dead in its tracks while giving your team the extra protection needed to dash into an extraction elevator.

B-Tier Characters
Edward
Edward is built for players who favor steady runs over quick-strike extractions. His Transmutation skill can actively convert broken or low-tier trash loot into usable structural gear or utility items. This ability requires time and a steady supply of junk items. Therefore, Edward’s slow, methodical crafting loop often falls behind in fast, high-tier lobbies where squads aim to extract within five minutes.

Alice
Alice is a survival support unit designed to act as an emergency healer when the battle is crucial. She can revive one downed character. Also, her skill Medical Efficiency can increase the duration and effects of medical healing items. Also, she can use her own skill to double the healing effects.

Alan
Alan excels at navigating maps with environmental hazards and dense fog with his skill, Insight Protocol. Also, his ability, called Lightborne, carries a 50% chance to completely ignore trap damage. This lets him confidently trigger pressure plates or tripwires that would cripple other characters.
Alan can also interact with the in-match shop anywhere to buy basic survival gear but at higher prices. Ig you have enough gold, this utility can save you from difficult runs. If you are running low on gold, you can use the Tomb Busters top up feature. The best platform to make the top-up is LDShop, it lets players top up for less and it is a great way to save money.

C-Tier Characters
Nian is currently the only C-tier character who is good for beginners only. She focuses heavily on deploying Flame Sigil to create explosive smoke screens. While blocking a monster's vision, the smoke can disorient your own teammates in tight hallways. This is why her utility is far too chaotic, placing her in this tier.

Conclusion
Tomb Busters is all about picking a character based on their skills and utility that can accelerate your loot haul. Secure an S-tier character like Vivienne or Brimlight as soon as possible and then enhance your roster with a map specialist like MS.7 or Linyun. Combat professionals like Caine can keep your team raging through tough bosses. All in all, use of skills efficiently and it will be a smooth ride!
