Welcome, Lords! The highly anticipated Season 4 of Top Heroes is finally upon us, and it is taking the battlefield in a completely new direction—underwater! Officially themed "Tempest of Tides" (often referred to in early Discord leaks as Wrath of Tides), this season introduces fresh aquatic mechanics, new heroes, and fun mini-games.

The Core Mechanic: Oxygen & Underwater Exploration

The biggest shift in Season 4 is the map environment. You are no longer just fighting on land; you are exploring the deep sea.

• Oxygen Levels: Because you are underwater, managing your Oxygen level will play a massive role. There are brand new Seasonal Buildings and items designed specifically to control and replenish your oxygen. You will need to prioritize these upgrades early on to ensure your marches don't get restricted while exploring or gathering.

• New Seasonal Currency: A new exclusive currency will be introduced for the S4 Seasonal Store. Save up your basic resources to maximize your exchanges when the shop opens.
• Cosmetics & Titles: Show off your deep-sea dominance with the new "Deep Sea Adventure" Avatar Frame, and unlock exclusive seasonal titles like "Poseidon's Majesty" and "Undersea Assurer."
• New Submarine Exploration (Levita): Dispatch your heroes on the "Levita" submarine to traverse between the Abyss, Shallows, and Coral Maze to complete trading and raid missions.

 

New Mini-Games: Flappy Fish & Fish Tanks

Season 4 isn't just about grinding and fighting; the devs have added some fantastic casual mini-games to break up the daily routine and help F2P (Free-to-Play) players earn extra rewards:

• Clown Fishy Game: Think of this as an underwater version of Flappy Bird. You will navigate a little clownfish through aquatic obstacles to score points and win daily items.
• Fishing Time & Your Personal Tank: This is a fan-favorite feature from the leaks! You will be able to catch fish and put them into your very own Fish Tank. You can raise and grow these fishes over time, and eventually exchange them for Gold and other valuable progression materials.

Heroes, Marches, and Guild Updates

Every new season shakes up the combat meta, and Season 4 is no exception.

• New League Hero (Supporter): A brand new Supporter hero is joining the League faction. While early leaks suggest their design resembles a skin, their supportive kit is expected to shift the 5v5 PvP meta, especially for players who main the League faction.
• Faction March Queues: Keep an eye out for new customized Faction March Queues (such as the new Nature Queue aesthetic). These add a great visual flair to your troops on the world map.
• Guild Boss Updates: The Guild Bosses are getting a graphical overhaul and potentially new attack patterns to match the Tempest of Tides theme. Make sure your guild is communicating effectively to tackle these refreshed bosses.

• New Villagers: For players who frequently use the Gold Block Store, up to 7 new villagers are being introduced! Check the store regularly to recruit them and optimize your village's resource production.

 

How to Prepare for Season 4

If your server is currently finishing Season 3 (or the interim Kingdom of Strife), here is what you should do right now:

1. Hoard Gold Blocks: With 7 new villagers coming, you will want a healthy stash of Gold Blocks ready on Day 1.
2. Prepare for Server Merges: Season transitions are usually accompanied by server merges. Expect the map to get crowded and PvP to get highly competitive. Lock down a spot in a Top 10 Guild if you haven't already.
3. Hold Off on Minor Upgrades: Save your Universal Speedups and resource chests. You will need them to rapidly upgrade your new Oxygen-controlling seasonal buildings the moment the season launches.

Note: The roll-out schedule for Season 4 depends on your server's age and current battle zone. Keep an eye on the in-game Top Lord event, as it usually signals that the new season is about to begin!
