The Umamusume [Ines Fujin] banner is coming to an end, and LDShop is catching this wave of low interest. Ines Fujin is a front-runner horse girl. If you're still hesitating whether to get her or don't know how to train her, this article is all you need!
Ines Fujin Overview

Ines Fujin is a front-runner horse girl. You can train her as a "Pace Chaser". She is essentially a pace chaser, but she's more like a front-runner suited for mile to medium distances. You can also train her to run on long-distance tracks. However, you might find that she doesn't have many long-distance skills. That said, she is still a very well-rounded and solid front-runner. Nothing amazing, but definitely very reliable.
How about Unique Skill?
|
All Charged! It's Go Time! |
Moderately increase velocity when positioned toward the front with about 300m remaining. If coming out of an uphill, greatly increase velocity instead. |
Ines Fujin's unique skill is essentially a "Tokyo-specialized" final-phase acceleration skill.
Enhanced Effect (requires meeting a precondition):
- Precondition: Be on an uphill section between the 305m and 300m marks, and then have left the uphill (be on flat ground or a downhill) between the 299m and 295m marks.
- When triggered, the enhanced version activates — a 5-second speed boost with a 0.45 multiplier, equivalent to an "enhanced Triunphal Pulse," which is extremely valuable for front-runners.
So this complex activation condition can almost only be consistently met on Tokyo turf tracks (due to Tokyo tracks' inherent structure of an uphill ending into flat ground at the 300m mark). Therefore, this skill can be considered a "Tokyo-exclusive skill."

When building Ines for Medium distances, you'll want to give her a decent chunk of Stamina along with a gold recovery skill—preferably just one. That should keep her going strong through the race. Don't forget Wit either; it's crucial for Front Runners, so make it your third priority behind Speed and Stamina.
Best Support Card Decks for Ines Fujin
Her growth bonuses are 15% Speed and 15% Guts. Her Speed bonus basically means you can comfortably drop from three Speed cards to two Speed cards, adopt a 2-2-2 deck composition, and the extra Power card will essentially supplement your Power needs.

These two are currently top-tier Wisdom cards, fitting any running style, especially for front-runners that require high skill activation rates. |

Marvelous Sunday |
Winning Ticket is a Power card with high race bonus, and her gold skill "Track Domination" (Dokusen Course) is very useful for front-runners. Marvelous Sunday offers Power plus versatile skills, great for supplementing mid-race performance and acceleration, and is well-suited for Ines on mile/medium-distance tracks. |
Alternative Build: 2 Speed + 2 Wit + 1 Stamina + 1 Power
Use this when you find that Ines often runs out of stamina and easily stalls in the latter half of races.

Recommended Legacy Sparks
When selecting inheritance sparks for Ines Fujin, here are the recommended options to aim for:
- Stat sparks: A 9-star focus on Stamina, combined with a 9-star focus on Power.
- Distance aptitude: At least 3 stars for Medium distances. If you are running her in the Trackblazer scenario, you may also consider adding 4 stars for Long distance, though this is completely optional.
You can either use your own trained veteran characters to provide these sparks, or borrow a suitable one from a friend's roster. If you do not yet have access to veterans that come with fully maxed-out sparks, do not worry too much about it. Just go ahead and work with whatever sparks are available to you at the moment.
Conclusion
This character is a comfort-type pick. She comes with a gold recovery skill, "Playtime's Over," "Slipstream," as well as "Dodging Danger" and many other support skills that you'd want as a front-runner. If you want to use this character, just stack as many mid-race skills as possible.
She's a fairly straightforward character and makes for a nice change of pace. If you're currently pulling for this character, LDShop hopes you get her soon.
