World of Warcraft: Forever Release Date, Price & System Requirements

A new journey through Azeroth is almost here. World of Warcraft: Forever launches this November, giving players a fresh level-60 adventure through familiar lands with new places to explore and systems to learn. Before gathering your party, check the global launch schedule, understand what your subscription covers, and see whether your PC or Mac meets Blizzard’s published requirements.

01 / GLOBAL LAUNCHRelease Date and Global Launch Times

World of Warcraft: Forever launches globally on November 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. PST, equivalent to 23:00 UTC. That puts the release on November 5 across much of Europe, Asia and Oceania. Blizzard positions Forever as a permanent experience alongside modern WoW and Classic, with new raids scheduled to unlock on December 9.

The following times are conversions of the announced global launch, using each city's time zone on that date.

All times account for the daylight-saving rules in effect on launch day. The schedule shows the same global release moment in each city; regional service availability depends on your Battle.net region.

02 / EDITIONS & REWARDSPrice and Editions

Access to World of Warcraft: Forever is included with an active WoW subscription or game time. Existing subscribers can join without buying a Forever upgrade pack. The US one-month subscription is listed at $14.99; local prices and longer billing plans vary.

For players interested in the Skyborne race and extra rewards, Blizzard offers the following optional editions:

The two ground mounts, both transmog sets, Rucksack back transmog and Windwell toy can be used in modern WoW and Forever. The four pets and two tabards are Forever-exclusive. Included in-game items are unavailable in WoW Classic.

The Skyborne decor and the two figurine decorations are for Housing in modern WoW only, which requires World of Warcraft: Midnight, sold separately. They do not add Housing to Forever.

Invite-A-Friend Launch Codes let eligible friends play Forever during November 4–11 without their own subscription or game time for that window. Qualifying Heroic purchases include one code; Epic and Collection purchases include three total. Gift purchases are excluded.

Physical Collector’s Edition — $150

The physical Collector’s Edition includes a Warcraft Forever Collection digital code, covering the Collection benefits above, plus:

• A 7.5-inch Legendary Dwarven Hunter & Loyal Bear statue.
• A Zephras Isle mousepad featuring Rohashi Spire concept art.
• Scenic art prints depicting Hyjal Summit and the Riverglades.
• Two collectible pins featuring an Azeroth compass and the Skyborne Elven Crest.
• A Companion Journal.

The US Blizzard Gear Store currently lists the physical edition as sold out. Its digital game content requires code redemption and download; no game disc is included.

The Skyborne race and its starting experience require the Heroic Pack or a higher edition. The Epic Pack and Warcraft Forever Collection include 30 days of game time starting at launch; continued play then requires a subscription or additional game time. The digital Collection is scheduled to remain available through January 11, 2027.

Early name reservation runs from October 27 through November 3 for eligible upgrade owners, giving you time to create and customize your character before the adventure begins. Live gameplay opens at the global launch time.

Forever is listed for Windows and Mac. Here are the minimum and recommended specifications to check before launch.

You will also need broadband internet, a Battle.net account, the Battle.net desktop app, and a display supporting at least 1280 × 720. Keyboard and mouse are listed in the minimum input requirements.

Older GPU compatibility deserves a separate check. Blizzard says Forever requires AMD GCN 1, NVIDIA Maxwell or Intel Skylake graphics architecture, or newer. That compatibility floor sits below the published minimum hardware specifications: a card passing the architecture check still may not meet the requirements above.

Blizzard cites the GTX 750/750 Ti as architecture-compatible examples, while the GTX 760/770/780 are unsupported. Check the GPU model carefully rather than relying on the apparent order of model numbers.
