When it comes to weapons in Wuthering Waves, not all of them are created equal. Some best-in-slot choices are restricted to specific characters and can significantly increase their damage. Others are more flexible and provide long-term value across multiple units.
This guide highlights the top F2P and low-spender-friendly weapons, making it easier to plan for reruns without chasing every signature weapon. Which weapons are you excited to try first? Let’s go!

Rectifiers

1st Priority: Stringmaster

Stringmaster
Stringmaster is the king of versatility, viable for any DPS or sub-DPS unit. It offers a high Crit Rate substat and a 24% Attack buff from its passive, which benefits nearly every character.

To activate the buff, deal two instances of Resonance Skill damage. Encore can trigger it easily with her Liberation mode skills, Phoebe by casting both her skills, and Camellya with her normal skill.

2nd Priority: Lethean Elegy

Lethean Elegy

A well-balanced weapon with 588 Base ATK and 24.3% Crit Rate. The passive is easy to activate for future Rectifier users who scale off Resonance Skill damage. However, the Echo Skill damage bonus is niche and less impactful.
3rd Priority: Whispers of Sirens

Whispers of Sirens

Has low Base ATK (500) but a high 72% Crit DMG substat. Its 40% Basic Attack DMG bonus is easy to activate and synergizes well with Phoebe and Canerella.
4th Priority: Rime-Draped Sprouts

Rime-Draped Sprouts

Similar to Canerella’s but harder to activate since it requires multiple Resonance Skill casts.
Not Recommended: Luminous Hymn ( Phoebe’s weapon) requires Spectro Frazzle to gain damage bonuses, limiting versatility. Cosmic Ripples lacks a Crit substat, lowering overall performance despite being easy to obtain.

Swords

1st Priority: Emerald of Genesis

Emerald of Genesis

A free standard weapon obtainable early in the game or through the standard banner using Lustrous Tides. With its Crit Rate substat and ATK buffing passive, it fits perfectly for main DPS units like Changli, Camellya, Spectro Rover, and Havoc Rover. Highly recommended to get at least two copies for multiple sword users.

2nd Priority: Red Spring

Red Spring

Features a Crit Rate substat and a passive that grants 10% Basic Attack DMG bonus when hitting enemies, synergizing with Brant, Yangyang, and future sword units.
3rd Priority: Blazing Brilliance

Blazing Brilliance

Best for units that scale off Resonance Skill DMG like Havoc Rover. The Crit DMG substat works well if the wielder has innate Crit Rate buffs.
Not Recommended: Brant’s Signature (Energy Regen substat, offers little benefit).

Broadblades

1st Priority: Verdant Summit ( Jiyan’s Signature)

Verdant Summit ( Jiyan’s Signature)

Has a Crit DMG substat, easy activation, and high synergy with Augusta. Works with all limited Broadblade users who already have Crit Rate on their skill tree.
2nd Priority: Thunderflare Dominion ( Augusta’s Signature)

 Thunderflare Dominion ( Augusta’s Signature)

Good but harder to activate since it requires shield refresh to trigger its effect.
3rd Priority: Ages of Harvest ( Jinhsi’s Signature)
Ages of Harvest ( Jinhsi’s Signature)

Provides Crit Rate, but the passive Resonance Skill DMG buff benefits few Broadblade users.
4th Priority: Lustrous Razor

Lustrous Razor

Not Recommended: Wildfire Mark ( Lupa’s Signature) scales with Liberation DMG, which few current characters use.

Pistols

1st Priority: Static Mist

 Static Mist

Excellent for sub-DPS and buffers like MVI and Ciaccona due to its 10% team ATK buff. Its high ATK and Crit Rate also make it a strong placeholder for DPS units like Galarena.
2nd Priority: Lux & Umbra (Galbrena’s Signature)

Lux & Umbra (Galbrena’s Signature)

Balanced stats with high Crit DMG. The passive provides Heavy Attack DMG amplification, great for Ciaccona.
3rd Priority: The Last Dance ( Carlotta’s Signature)

The Last Dance ( Carlotta’s Signature)

High Crit DMG substat, synergizes with Galbrena’s Echo effects. Works well on Chisa due to her Resonance Skill bonus.
4th Priority: Woodland Aria ( Ciaccona’s Signature)

Woodland Aria ( Ciaccona’s Signature)

Huge Crit Rate makes it flexible, but low Base ATK and niche passive reduce its versatility.

Gauntlets

1st Priority: Varity’s Handle

Varity’s Handle

Balanced stats (587 ATK, 24.3% Crit Rate) and synergy with Roccia, Iuno and Zani. Iuno benefits from the Liberation DMG bonus, while Zani can maintain the buff through parry and Liberation attacks.
2nd Priority: Moongazer's Sigil ( Iuno’s Signature)

Moongazer's Sigil ( Iuno’s Signature)

Lower ATK and more restrictive passive compared to Varity’s Handle.
3rd Priority: Blazing Justice ( Zani’s Signature)

Blazing Justice ( Zani’s Signature)

Mainly works for Zani but offers limited overall value.
Not Recommended: Abyss Surge provides ATK% but no Crit substat. Its passive doesn’t benefit any limited Gauntlet users currently.
