Depths of Illusive Realm: Dreamchasers is back in Wuthering Waves Version 3.4. This event is still a roguelike combat mode, but this time it is split into two main parts: Illusive Realm and Dream Abode in Fissure.
You need to clear Illusive Realm first before Dream Abode in Fissure becomes available. If your goal is to grab the main rewards quickly, the best route is to build one reliable main DPS, finish the Illusive Realm stages, save a strong Memory, and then use it for the Fissure challenge.

Final challenge after Illusive Realm |
Illusive Realm itself is divided into Surface of Illusions and Depth of Illusions. After clearing the Illusive Realm stages, you can enter Dream Abode in Fissure, which is the harder boss-focused part of the event.
Best Characters to Use
For the easiest clear, use Hiyuki if you have her. She has high damage, strong Iai Slash uptime, damage reduction during Iai, and Freeze control, which makes her comfortable against both mobs and bosses.
If you do not have Hiyuki, trial Sigrika is the safest all-around option. She works well across all stages and does not need complicated setup to perform.
Mornye and Phrolova are also playable, but trial Mornye can feel less comfortable against highly mobile enemies such as Cartethyia. For a smooth reward run, Hiyuki and Sigrika are simply easier.
For support slots, use characters such as Qiuyuan, Chisa, Lynae, or a healer. If you are playing Hiyuki, Lynae is especially useful because her Outro can provide strong damage amplification. A simple and stable team is:
|
|
|
|
|
Shorekeeper |
This setup gives Hiyuki more damage, better sustain, and enough safety for higher multiplier clears.
Best Hiyuki Setup
For Hiyuki, start with Inferno Rider as your Illusive Echo if you want faster clears. The key is to build around her Iai Slash loop and keep her Frostheart available as often as possible.
Your main Resonator Upgrade priority should be:
- Blade Chime
- Unshaken Mind
- Snow on Edge
Blade Chime is the core upgrade. It improves Hiyuki’s Iai Slash loop and helps her regain Frostheart after Iai, letting you chain more Iai Slashes in a short time.
Unshaken Mind is important because it reduces Resonance Skill downtime and gives Hiyuki more time in her strongest damage window. It also makes her safer, since you can spend more time in skill and Iai states instead of standing around with no Frostheart.
Snow on Edge makes Hiyuki’s ground Basic Attacks restore more Frostheart. This matters when your Resonance Skill is on cooldown. Instead of waiting, you can Basic Attack to refill Frostheart, then dodge into Basic Attack to trigger Iai again.
If you find a purple Metaphor that reduces cooldown by 30%, take it. With enough cooldown reduction, Hiyuki can almost skip the Basic Attack recovery window and keep cycling Resonance Skill into Iai Slash.
Basic Hiyuki Rotation
The basic loop is very simple:
Start with Resonance Skill, use Basic Attacks to fill energy, then cast Hiyuki’s enhanced Heavy Attack and Resonance Liberation. After that, stay in her second form as long as possible.
Against mobs, Hiyuki can usually clear very quickly. Against bosses, use Lynae first for the damage buff, then do this loop:
Resonance Skill → Dodge → Basic Attack to trigger Iai Slash → repeat until Frostheart runs low
When your skill is on cooldown, use Basic Attacks to recover Frostheart. Once the skill is ready again, use it immediately and continue the Iai loop.
Memory Door Priority
In the early part of a run, go for Memory of the Tainted. The goal is to get your third key Hiyuki upgrade, especially Snow on Edge, as soon as possible.
After you have the main Hiyuki upgrades, switch your priority to Memory of the Shattered. From there, focus on collecting strong Metaphors and upgrading your Illusive Echo to max level.
A simple priority is:
- Get Hiyuki’s key upgrades first.
- Take cooldown reduction whenever possible.
- Upgrade your Illusive Echo.
- Pick damage Metaphors over random utility.
Add survivability only if you are dying.
Best Multiplier Route
For efficient farming, follow the Lv. 90 → Lv. 95 → Lv. 100 route in Depth of Illusions III.
The first clear has a lower maximum reward multiplier. After clearing, higher multipliers unlock, including 300% and later 450%. However, you do not need to force a full 450% clear if you only want the practical rewards.
A 400% clear is enough for most players. After finishing a 400% run, your Thought Evolution should be close to maxed, and your Illusive Specimen progress should also be finished or nearly finished. At that point, the main remaining task is Dream Abode in Fissure.
For Thought Evolution, prioritize:
Healing and recovery nodes
Nodes that help you keep a good Symphony Rank
Fatal-damage prevention
Damage nodes after your survival is stable
Dream Abode in Fissure Guide
Dream Abode in Fissure is unlocked after Illusive Realm. Before entering, select the saved Memory from your strongest previous clear. Ideally, use the Memory from your 400% run.
The most important part is the Token setup. If your saved run has the paper-plane icon Token, use it. This Token helps reduce cooldown, which is extremely useful for Hiyuki. Even if you did not get the purple 30% cooldown Metaphor, the paper-plane Token can still help Hiyuki maintain her Resonance Skill into Iai Slash loop.

For the other Tokens, prioritize damage. Good choices include Tokens that increase damage, improve buildup, give extra fragments, or trigger extra attacks/healing effects. If you are struggling to survive, switch from Inferno Rider to Bell-Borne Geochelone. The turtle shield gives much more room for mistakes, especially in the later Fissure boss fights.
Dream Abode in Fissure is a five-boss challenge with a time limit. If you only care about the main Astrite and title tasks, focus on the required early bosses first, then continue toward a full clear if your saved Memory is strong enough.

Final Thoughts
That is the full WuWa 3.4 Depths of Illusive Realm: Dreamchasers guide. For most players, the smoothest route is Hiyuki with Lynae and Shorekeeper, or trial Sigrika if Hiyuki is not available. Build around cooldown reduction, Iai Slash uptime, and strong saved Memories, then use that setup to clear Dream Abode in Fissure.
Once your 400% Illusive Realm run is done, the rest of the event becomes much easier. Save a good Memory, take the paper-plane Token if you see it, and focus on the first three Fissure bosses to secure the main rewards.
