Hiyuki is almost here, and with Wuthering Waves Version 3.3 lining up as the patch to cover the game’s second anniversary, she already feels like one of the biggest pull targets of the whole celebration. That also means the usual question is coming fast: which team actually brings out her best, and which ones just look good on paper? This guide breaks down the team logic behind Hiyuki’s top comps, which support slots matter most, and why some lineups feel way smoother once her real damage window starts.

How Hiyuki’s Team Slots Function

Hiyuki

Hiyuki wants teammates who speed up her setup and juice her burst window, not just generic “good units.” A lot of her damage is tied to Glacio Chafe / Glacio Bite and Resonance Liberation, so the best partners are off-field characters who can apply the effects that help her Light Snow gameplan, keep damage rolling while she rotates, and make her payoff come online faster. Her last slot should also bring more than healing. DEF shred, damage amp, or Negative Status support all scale really well with her kit. So the cleanest way to think about it is: one enabler, one amplifier, then let Hiyuki cash out.

Chisa

Chisa

Hiyuki + Lynae + Chisa is basically Hiyuki’s best current team because each slot fixes a different part of her damage cycle instead of just stacking random buffs. Hiyuki is a bursty Glacio carry whose kit leans hard into Glacio Chafe / Bite and Resonance Liberation damage, so she wants teammates that speed up her setup and then supercharge her actual cash-out window.

Lynae is huge here because her Outro gives the next character 15% All DMG Amplification and 25% Resonance Liberation DMG Amplification, which is exactly the kind of buff package a Liberation-weighted DPS loves. On top of that, her kit applies Photochromic Flux and Tune Rupture-style utility, so she is not just a stat stick, she is actively helping Hiyuki’s gameplan line up.

Chisa is the glue. She brings Havoc Bane, Thread of Bane DEF ignore, extra DEF shred, healing, and more Negative Status-oriented support, which lets Hiyuki push higher real damage than she does with generic comfort supports. That is why players keep calling this her strongest available team right now, even if a later Lucilla version may end up being the true ceiling comp.

Shorekeeper

Shorekeeper

Swapping Lynae for Shorekeeper works because the team stops being a “more tailored burst support” setup and turns into a very clean hypercarry funnel instead. The big synergy is rotational: Shorekeeper wants two Intro triggers to fully upgrade her Stellarealm, and this trio naturally gives her that flow. You open on Shorekeeper, swap to Chisa to start the handoff, then bring in Hiyuki, so by the time Hiyuki actually starts her real DPS window, she is already standing inside Shorekeeper’s fully upgraded field while Chisa’s 20s Outro coverage is still active.

That makes the comp feel smooth rather than forced: Chisa bridges the setup, Shorekeeper stabilizes and frontloads the teamwide buff zone, and Hiyuki gets one clean, protected cash-out window instead of a messy split rotation. It is basically a lower-maintenance version of the Lynae shell.

Mornye

Replacing Chisa with Mornye is still viable because this version of the team shifts away from a more Hiyuki-specific setup and into a broader 3.x support engine. Lynae and Mornye are often treated as one of the most flexible pairings in the 3.x meta, since their value is not locked to one element or one carry and they can slot into multiple hypercarry structures.

Mornye’s field gives healing, interruption resistance, and faster Off-Tune buildup, so Hiyuki gets a safer, smoother setup and more reliable pace before cashing out. That is why Hiyuki + Lynae + Mornye works: Lynae sharpens Hiyuki’s burst, while Mornye stabilizes the window that lets her deliver it.

Shorekeeper

Shorekeeper

Hiyuki + Lynae + Shorekeeper works because it gives Hiyuki a very clean hypercarry setup with both burst damage and consistency covered. Lynae is still a major reason the team works, since her handoff includes All DMG support and, more importantly for Hiyuki, Resonance Liberation DMG Amplification, which fits Hiyuki’s burst-focused damage profile very well. Shorekeeper then smooths out the whole rotation by providing healing, field stability, and a fully upgraded Stellarealm with Crit buffs ready by the time Hiyuki enters.

The result is a safer, cleaner damage cycle where Hiyuki gets to cash out inside a properly prepared window instead of forcing awkward split uptime.

Conclusion

At the end of the day, Hiyuki teams feel strongest when the setup is clean and the payoff is obvious. Once each slot is doing something meaningful for her burst window, the whole comp starts to click instead of just being three good units thrown together.

And if 3.3 is the patch where you are finally committing some pulls, it might also be a good time to check your Lunite options early. LDShop is a nice place to keep in mind if you want a cheaper WuWa top-up route before the anniversary banners start rolling.
