Iuno Overview

Iuno is an Aero Resonator who wields a Gauntlet-type weapons, positioned as a sub-DPS or support.

Playstyle

• Iuno is an upcoming Aero DPS in Wuthering Waves who uses gauntlets.
• She switches between her Lunar Cycle stances, consuming Forte Gauge to deal consistent damage.
• She can also deploy a domain that boosts ally damage, provides shields, and healing—making her both offensive and supportive.

Iuno's Kit Breakdown

Combat Modes: Two stances — New Moon (bow stance, AoE damage) and Full Moon (provides energy regen and interruption immunity).

Healing & Shields: Scales with ATK and grants self-shields. However, shields are self-only by default, meaning her strongest buff synergy currently only works well with Augusta, limiting team flexibility.

Buffs: Can grant up to 40% All Damage Bonus through shield stacking, but only Augusta can realistically trigger it effectively at present.

Team Synergy: At S0 (no sequences), she’s almost locked to Augusta/Gian teams. Without them, her utility drops sharply.

Sequences (S1–S6):  S1 has th best value for Iuno, which boost the DMG and get the anti-interupt buff. It is best to get S2 when you pair Iuno with Augusta. S4 finally grants shields to the whole team; S6 massively boosts Heavy Attack multipliers, enabling sustained on-field DPS.

Rotations:

1. One advantage of Iuno is, Iuno, the flexibility. The flexibility is demonstrated through her rotations as well.

Her first rotation is a bit extended and balanced. Great for when you play with Augusta: 

Intro → Skill 2 → Jump → Liberation → Enhanced Basics 1-3 → Enhanced Skill + Echo → Enhanced Skill → Heavy Attack → Outro

You enter her onto the field, use her Skill 2, which puts her into lunar phase half moon. Then you jump to enter full moon. Afterwards, you can use her liberation, and all the skills we mentioned above.

 

2. Alternatively, Iuno has much shorted rotation food with other DPS like Jiyan: 

Intro → Liberation → Enhanced Basic 1-3 → Enhanced Skill + Echo → Outro

Compare these two rotations, we cut her Skill 2 and Heavy Attack because Jiyan doesn't benefit much from the healing and stamina provided by her Heavy Attack. Of course, we can extend Iuno's rotation if desired here, but having the ability to perform such short rotations like this one is great.

 

Skill Upgrade Priority

The Forte Circuit and Resonance Skill are the main source of Iuno's DMG output, and the Ultimate deals massive DMG. So the Iuno Skill Priority is Forte Circuit (Lv.10)> Resonance Skill (Lv.10) > Resonance Liberation (Lv.8) > Intro Skill (Lv.6) > Basic Attack (Lv.6).

Inherent Skill: Waxing Ascent & Derivation. 

Bonus Stats: CRIT Rate 8%, ATK 12%.

Iuno Best Weapons

For Iuno, she mainly functions as sub-DPS in the team, so we need to consider her personal DMG while choosing her weapons. Her signature weapon stands out as the best choice, providing a CRIT Rate sub-stat alongside effects that increase both ATK and Ultimate DMG, making it highly synergistic with her kit. When considering alternatives, we can look for weapons that replicate these key attributes—namely offensive stats and effects similar to those offered by her signature.

Best Choice

Most of Iuno's DMG would be considered as Liberation DMG, so the 36% Ignorance of targer's DEF provided by Signature Weapon is very useful for Iuno. 

Moongazer's SigilGreat

Base ATK: 500 CRUT Rate: 36% Effect (R1): Increases ATK by 12%. Casting Intro Skill or Resonance Liberation increases Resonance Liberation DMG by 20% for 15s. Obtaining Shield allows Resonance Liberation DMG to ignore 7.2% of the target's DEF for 7s, stacking up to 5 times. This effect is triggered once every 0.5s. Upon casting Intro Skill, this effect reaches max stacks immediately, lasting for 3s.

 

Alternative Options

Xiangli Yao's Signature Gauntlets, the Verity's Handle, provide 48% Liberation DMG boost, which is almost as good as her Sig are. For other weapons, only the Blazing Justice can reach 80% of her Signature Gauntlet. Therefore, it is best to pull for Moongazer's SigilGreat if you don't have Verity's Handle.

Verity's Handle (5-star) (94% of Sig Weapon)	ATK : 587 CRIT Rate: 24.3% Effect (R1): Gain 12% Attribute DMG Bonus. When using Resonance Liberation, the wielder gains 48% Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus for 8s. This effect can be extended by 5s each time Resonance Skills are cast, up to 3 times.
Blazing Justice (4-star)  (80% of Sig Weapon)	ATK: 588 CRIT DMG: 48.6% Effect (R1): Increases ATK by 12%. Casting Basic Attack grants the following effects: Dealing damage ignores 8% of the target's DEF and Amplifies Spectro Frazzle DMG dealt by 50% for 6s. Retriggering the effect resets its duration.

 

Echo Sets & Stats

Iuno's Echo sets is flexible, its' up to your choice.

Support Echo Set (5-pc):

Moonlit Clouds

2-pc: Energy Regen +10%. 5-pc: After using Outro Skill, increases the ATK of the next Resonator by 22.5% for 15s.

Iuno can use this to significantly enhance teammates’ damage, particularly the main DPS. Overall, Moonlit Clouds emphasizes support and buffing, improving Yuno’s skill rotation and team damage output.

Main Echo:

Bell-Borne Geochelone

Reason: The 50% DMG reducation and 10% DMG boost for all allies provided by this echo are important for Iuno's support ability, as the weapon would mainy focus on her DMG output. 

Sub-DPS Set (3+2): 

3-pc choice:

Crown of Valor

Effect: 3-pc: When the Resonator gains a shield, their ATK is boosted by 6% and Crit DMG by 4% for 4s. This effect can trigger every 0.5s and stack up to 5 times.

2-pc choices:

Sierra Gale	2-pc: Aero DMG +10%.
Guts of Welkin	2-pc: Aero DMG +10%
Windward Pilgrimage	2-pc: Aero DMG +10%

The newest echo set Crown of Valor is best for Rovers want to build Iuno as sub-DPS with its ATK and CRIT DMG boost. And pair it with other 2-pc sets strengthen her elemental damage, skill rotation.

Main Echo:

Lady of the Sea

Reason: Provide 12% Aero DMG and 12% Liberation DMG boost. The Kerasaur provide the same buff as Lady of the Sea. Then why we choose her? She is a off-field Echo, which means it is easier to play.

 

Main Stats

4-cost: Crit Rate / Crit Damage

3-cost: 2 Aero DMG Bonus / 1 Aero DMG + ATK

1-cost:  2 ATK

Premium Teams
Iuno	Augusta (New!) or Jiyan	Shorekeeper

The overall performance of the Sun-Moon team is currently excellent. Augusta is also Iuno' s best teammate, but she isn' t mandatory—you can substitute Mortefi or Yinlin. If you want to build a team for the new system, you' ll need to reserve resources in advance, since the two new characters are releasing back-to-back, which can be quite demanding.

This team is friendly for free-to-play players. Although its performance isn' t as strong as the previous one, its advantage is that you don' t need to spend a large amount of resources at once to pull two new characters.
