ZZZ 2.4 Banner: Dialyn, Banyue Join the Fight!

Hello, Proxies! Version 2.4 of Zenless Zone Zero opens a new chapter filled with fiery battles, elegant enforcers, and deeper insights into the mysterious Krampus Compliance Authority.

This update not only introduces two long-awaited S-rank agents — Banyue and Dialyn — but also expands the lore with the arrival of the Krampus Black Branch and teases future agents like Zhao. First Half

New Character - Dialyn

Dialyn is an elegant yet intimidating S-rank Physical Stun agent working under the Krampus Compliance Authority. Behind her polite “customer service” demeanor lies a strict enforcer who ensures that every “complaint” receives a swift and decisive response. Her design contrasts clean monochrome tones with twin braids and a calm smile — a perfect mask for someone who balances charm with latent threat.

In combat, Dialyn excels at stunning and disrupting enemies, using precise strikes to break defenses and control the pace of battle. Her Physical-type attacks quickly build stun gauges, letting allies unleash devastating follow-ups. Early gameplay data and leaks describe her as a tactical controller, ideal for teams that thrive on timing and coordinated bursts.

Lore fragments hint that Dialyn’s courteous tone hides a cold efficiency — she isn’t just a customer-service worker but the “voice of compliance” within Krampus, turning politeness into punishment. Equal parts grace and menace, she embodies the faction’s philosophy: disciplined order delivered.

 

Rerun character - Hugo

Hugo is an S-rank Ice Attacker, known for his incredible burst DPS. His unique ability allows him to deal massive damage while removing stun effects from enemies, stacking additional damage with each stun. Hugo’s core skill significantly boosts his attack, with up to 900 extra power based on the number of stunners in the team, which helps make up for the lack of traditional support buffs.

While his EX Special and Ultimate are the primary sources of his damage, Hugo’s multipliers are relatively low outside of stun windows, and his buffs only last for 6 seconds, requiring precise timing to maximize their impact. He excels in stun-heavy team compositions, where his burst damage can shine when paired with reliable stunners. His versatility in team setups makes him a high-impact character, but his performance can be limited outside of stun synergy, making team coordination essential for optimal results.

 

Second Half

New Character - Banyue

Banyue bursts onto the scene as a striking “machine monk” in Zenless Zone Zero — an S-rank Fire Rupture Shīfū from the Krampus Compliance Authority whose calm, meditative poise hides precise, fiery strikes.

Visually he blends monklike beads and armored robotics; narratively he reads like an intelligent construct with a composed, philosophical voice — a character built for disciplined timing rather than chaos.

His kit rewards resource management and timing. Banyue’s core passive scales from his max HP (granting extra HP and attack) and passively regenerates Chi, making him stronger the longer he stays alive and the more Chi he manages.

From the Banyue kit, we can know his trigger ability restores 60 Chi when an allied or enemy character is hit and — if conditions are met — grants allies +40% Crit Damage for 30 seconds (a powerful party buff reliant on his being in the correct state).

Banyue’s enhanced state consumes Chi to enter cyclical attack modes: each enhanced attack alternates bonus effects (burst fire damage, healing or follow-up effects), so optimal play alternates Chi regeneration and burst windows to maximise both sustained output and spike damage. Community guides list him as a Fire/Rupture S-rank built around that Chi-toggle playstyle.

 

Rerun character - Ellen

Ellen Joe (S-Rank, Ice, Attack) is a highly mobile and hard-hitting Agent in ZZZ. With her Ultimate and Dash Attacks, she delivers impressive damage, while her quick Dodge ability lets her smoothly avoid enemy hits, making her difficult to pin down. She's especially effective in Ice teams, where her abilities synergize well to boost her damage output. Ellen can fit into both F2P and premium team setups, offering flexibility for a wide range of players.

That said, she does have some downsides. Ellen can struggle against large, tanky enemies that can take a beating, and her Chain Attack animation is relatively long, which can be a problem when you're racing against the clock. Despite these weaknesses, her high mobility and offensive strength make her a valuable asset, especially in fast-paced or damage-focused fights.

 

NEW Faction: Krampus Black Branch

Krampus isn't a company, its role is to inspect, decide on, and enforce regulations.

Brutal "competition" is an inherent flaw of the market system. For the members at the Round Table, it doesn't matter if the company's executives are tearing each other apart.

Well, Damian’s last name is Blackwood, This means that he is more more possible to be a spy from Krampus to monitor Porcelumek. And in the S2 preview, Damian is along with Zhao.

En-Nah Chess Legend Reruns

Community leaks and roadmap videos indicate Zenless Zone Zero v2.4 may rerun the “En-Nah Chess Legend” bangboo-chess event.

In this event, players use coins each round to recruit Bangboos or level up their board. Bangboos have bonds and types, and deploying units with matching bonds/types activates buff effects.

There are Story Mode (vs NPCs) and Competitive Mode (PvP), where you compete against other players to climb rankings.

 

NEW Enemy

OMG!!Again? Another fan favored character becomes enemy? I hope ZZZ would make Ye Shunyuan into the Banner in the coming future. This new model just looks great!
