ZZZ 2.5 Livestream: Codes, Date & Content

Zenless Zone Zero’s Version 2.5 livestream is officially locked in. Titled "To Be Fuel for the Night," this update is shaping up to be a major one to close out the year.

If you’re planning your pulls or just want to see where the story is heading next, here is everything we know so far about the livestream schedule, expected content, and redemption codes.

As always, the livestream will provide three redemption codes totaling 300 Polychromes. I will update this section immediately after the program airs, but for now, here are the slots:

ZZZ 2.5 Livestream Date & Time

The Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 Special Program will air on December 19, 2025, with the stream starting at the following times:

North America	December 19, 6:30 AM (UTC-5)
Europe	December 19, 12:30 PM (UTC+1)
Asia	December 19, 7:30 PM (UTC+8)

The update itself is scheduled to launch on December 30, 2025, shortly after the livestream.

 

New Characters Revealed in Version 2.5

Zhao

Zhao is confirmed as a member of the Krampus Compliance Authority. From early previews, she is an Ice-attribute Defense agent, bringing a more protective playstyle to the roster. Her design leans heavily into the Black Branch aesthetic, and she’s expected to play a key role in the upcoming story.

Ye Shunguang

Ye Shunguang is joining from the Yunkui Summit faction and carries the Void Hunter mark in her artwork. She’s a Physical Special Attack agent, built for aggressive damage output. Story-wise, she’s deeply tied to the current main plot and seems to be continuing the search for Ye Shiyuan.

Her transformation teased in the preview visuals has raised a lot of questions, especially regarding the lingering effects of the Qingming Sword.

Both characters will be available when Version 2.5 goes live.

 

New Main Story Chapter

The narrative for 2.5 seems to focus heavily on the hunt for Ye Shiyuan. The teaser images show Ye Shunguang working alongside the Krampus Compliance Authority, and this chapter will dive deeper into Ye Shunguang’s condition and her transformation.

Whether the aftereffects of the Qingming Sword finally get addressed remains to be seen, but the setup suggests a more emotionally driven storyline than usual.

 

Teased Future Characters

A short teaser shown during the TGA 2025 showcase briefly revealed Angels of Delusion, hinting that Version 2.5’s livestream may also include early previews of upcoming characters beyond this patch. Expect silhouettes, faction hints, or short cinematic cuts rather than full kits.

 

Events

Since this version launches at the end of December, we can expect a significant main event, potentially with a winter theme. ZZZ has a good track record with major version events like "Fantasy Resort" (2.1) and "Band of Brave Bangboo" (2.2), so the expectations are high.
