Top 6: Lucy

Lucy is the kind of "one-tap activation" support character: tap her follow-up attack → switch characters, and the entire process takes less than 1.5 seconds to apply a full-team attack buff. This makes her extremely beginner-friendly.

However, her numerical values are admittedly modest—a flat 600 attack boost translates to only a 7%–9% actual damage increase on a 2,000+ attack double-crit main DPS, which falls into the "negligible" category.

What truly secures her "Top 6" position is her four-star W-Engine, [ Kaboom the Cannon ].

• 1. Energy Regeneration Stat: At maximum superimposition, it provides an additional 12 energy per wave, effectively shortening the support's rotation cycle by 3–4 seconds and indirectly increasing the team's ultimate frequency.

Though a M0S0 Rina may only be considered "barely meeting the benchmark" in the support tier, she is currently the only character in the entire game capable of "extending Electrified by 3 seconds," stretching the original 8-second DoT to 11 seconds. This synergizes exceptionally well with Yanagi, as it significantly enhances the damage of Yanagi's Polarity Disruption.

At M1S1, Rina fully sheds her label as an "Electric-team specialist":

1 Mindscape Cinema: Penetration rate increases from 8% to 15%, duration extends from 6s to 10s, and coverage reaches over 80%, instantly making her versatility comparable to five-star characters.

Signature W-engine [ Weeping Cradle ]:

• Recovers 16 energy per wave, enabling Lina to ultimate every 3 actions and compressing her rotation to 12s for permanent buff uptime.
• Provides a 12% damage boost for the entire team (18% at superimposition level 5) in an independent multiplier, stacked directly after attack/penetration, offering pure value to any main DPS regardless of element.
• An additional "HP recovery after dealing damage" effect reduces survival pressure in high-difficulty content by a tier.

A M0S0 Rina is a "must-have for Yanagi teams," while a M1S1 Rina becomes a "universal five-star substitute for penetration-based supports." With her signature W-engine, she transforms into a versatile support offering permanent team-wide penetration, damage boosts, and healing. She fits into Electric teams, Polarity Disruption teams, and even mixed-damage compositions, ensuring her long-term value is undeniable.

 

Top 4: Soukaku

Additionally, her Fan Wind ability boasts high Ice anomaly accumulation, enabling Freeze triggers and subsequent Polarity Disruption in teams featuring Miyabi, giving her a sub-DPS feel in anomaly-focused compositions.

However, Soukaku's gameplay is relatively complex, and some players may find her mechanics unintuitive. As a result, she is typically only used alongside Ice DPS units like Ellen and Miyabi (Hugo requires dual break and thus cannot synergize with her), limiting her versatility.

In summary, Soukaku is a "numerical monster in Ice teams," offering even more generous buffs than some five-star characters while doubling as an anomaly sub-DPS. That said, she has the highest skill ceiling among supports—players who prefer simple auto-attack (AAA) gameplay should approach with caution. Once mastered with techniques, she becomes Ice teams' exclusive "low-star powerhouse."

 

Top 3: Nicole

Despite being an A-rank character, Nicole delivers performance akin to an S-rank unit:

• Her held Skill has an 8m pull radius, offering the strongest crowd control in the game—even enemies that perform two-stage dodges or retreats are dragged back within range.
• She applies a 25% Defense Shred (33% with her signature Light Cone at max superimposition), calculated independently without diminishing returns, directly multiplying main DPS damage by 1.25–1.33.
• Her additional ability grants the entire team a 20% Ether damage boost, giving Ether teams an innate 1.2x damage multiplier.
• Her signature W-engine [ The Vault ] provides a 12%–18% team-wide damage boost, and at M6, she adds 15% CRIT Rate. Together, these effects elevate the main DPS’s stats to "pseudo-six-star" levels.

The trade-off is "short-rotation anxiety": most of these effects have brief durations, requiring frequent skill refreshes and character swaps mid-combat, which demands high proficiency. She is far from a "low-effort" character. Thus, Nicole is a "high-skill, high-reward" support—in skilled hands, she offers both top-tier crowd control and a 25% independent damage multiplier; but if mismanaged, her effectiveness drops significantly. Practical experience:

• With Yuzuha: Anomaly damage contribution skyrockets from 35% to 60%.
• Without Yuzuha: DPS units with the same build require two additional basic attack sequences to trigger anomalies, causing a 25%+ drop in DPS. It feels like a completely different game.

 

Top 1: Astra Yao

Peak performance from day one! Although Astra Yao is an older character from version 1.5, she remains the strongest support unit to date. She provides teammates with attack boosts, damage amplification, and CRIT DMG buffs, significantly enhancing their damage output.

Astra Yao is also the most effortless character to use: she simply stays off-field singing while the other two characters handle rotations. To further streamline team swaps, she offers free, rapid support actions.

Her Ultimate further expands her versatility and ceiling: it heals the entire team, improving survivability; allows teammates to execute follow-up attacks, synergizing exceptionally well with characters like Evelyn (whose follow-up deals massive damage); and generates Resonance values from follow-up attacks, potentially enabling additional Ultimate casts for the team.
