The Genshin Impact Version 6.4 update is dropping on February 25th! The character banners for Phase 1 and Phase 2 (Varka, Flins, Skirk, and Escoffier) and the weapon banners have all been revealed~ With so many characters and weapons to choose from, how should Travelers on a tight budget decide? Don't worry—this Pulling Advice Guide has got you covered and will help you solve all your selection dilemmas!
Character Banners
Varka

If any of the following situations apply to you, then pulling for Varka should be a top priority:
- Hardcore “Magic Guide” System Players: If you already own Durin and are planning to pull for Nicole (the Magic Guide support in Version 6.6), then Varka is an indispensable piece of this powerful team comp, maximizing the potential of a Magic Guidance-focused lineup.
- New Players Lacking a Main DPS: If your character roster is missing a strong on-field main DPS, Varka can be a solid option to fill that gap.
For the majority of players, pulling for Varka right now requires careful consideration, mainly due to uncertainties surrounding his personal strength and team viability:
- Incomplete Team = Severely Diminished Power: Varka’s ideal team currently lacks a strong fourth member, and the supportive capabilities of his teammates Venti and Durin are somewhat lacking. This makes the overall team’s synergy and combat effectiveness fall short of more established teams like the Electro-Charged Team. Without his full team, a single Varka pull might end up benched as “just for the collection.”
- Reliance on Future Content: Varka’s strength is heavily tied to Nicole’s future performance. If Nicole doesn't turn out to be as good as expected, then investing in Varka could be a bit of a risk.

Flins

The key question isn't "Is Flins good?", but rather, "Do you already have a home for him?" Flins isn't a solo superstar who can fit into any team; he's a "system-locked" main DPS who needs specific teammates to truly shine.
- Must-Pull: Electro-Charged Team Finisher
If you already have Ineffa and are looking to add another powerhouse main DPS to your Electro-Charged lineup, then pulling for Flins on his rerun is a solid move. He's one of the most straightforward on-field DPS options for this team, offering easy-to-land, wide-area damage.
- Think Twice: If Your Roster Isn't Ready
If the following points describe your situation, you might want to be cautious or even consider skipping this rerun altogether.
- Missing Ineffa: This is the biggest red flag. Flins and Ineffa are incredibly tightly bound. Ineffa isn't just an Electro applicator and battery; she also provides a shield and resistance to interruption, making her an absolutely essential piece of the team. Without her, Flins's team flexibility and overall comfort take a huge hit, and his power level drops significantly.
- F2P / Low-Spenders: If you're on a budget and looking for a versatile "jack-of-all-trades" main DPS to handle various abyss cycles, Flins probably isn't your best bet. While he performs decently in low-investment teams, the return on your primogems might not be as high as with some more flexible, universal characters.
- Versatility Seekers: If you prefer pulling for characters that can adapt to multiple team compositions, Flins's hyper-specialization will likely feel too restrictive.
But, if you have already decided to pull Flins, you can check out our Best Flins Team Guide for more Flins team potential.
Skirk + Escoffier
|
|
|
Regarding Skirk and Escoffier, LDShop believes these two should be discussed together. For this "paired" character pull, the core strategy is crystal clear: pull for both, or pull for neither. Their strength is mutually interdependent—pulling just one of them is a massive waste.
Skirk and Escoffier are a classic example of a "power couple" design. Their mechanics are deeply intertwined, and their true strength shines through their combined synergy.
- Escoffier is Skirk's "Power Bank": Escoffier provides crucial elemental resistance shred and energy support for Skirk, significantly enhancing Skirk's damage rotation and ceiling. Without Escoffier, Skirk's damage takes a nosedive, and she might even struggle to consistently trigger Freeze reactions.
- Skirk is Escoffier's "Amplifier": Escoffier herself is a support unit who needs a strong Cryo DPS like Skirk to truly realize her value. You could say Escoffier's strength is entirely dependent on Skirk.
The general consensus among players is that without Escoffier, Skirk's damage drops by about one-third. So, if you're on a tight budget and can only afford to pull for one of them, it's highly recommended to consider other, more flexible characters instead of pulling for either of them alone.
Weapon Banners
New Wish Available

In Version 6.4, we have Gest of the Mighty Wolf, Bloodsoaked Ruins, Sacrificer's Staff and other 4-star weapon.
- Gest of the Mighty Wolf: Recommended for Varka and Razor. Its stats are a perfect match for these two—a true "signature weapon" in the right hands.
- Bloodsoaked Ruins: Only consider this for Flins. This weapon might as well have Flins's name written on it; for anyone else, it just doesn't fit right.
- Limited 4-Star: Just go with the flow. Don't pull on the weapon banner just for the 4-stars—you might end up losing the primogems without getting what you really want.
Chronicled Wish Available

- Meta-folks: Just skip it. The value isn't really there—save your primos for more worthwhile upgrades.
- Completionists: Only pull if there's a character you absolutely adore. This banner isn't selling power—it's selling feels and that satisfying "gotcha" moment~
Conclusion
You've made it to the end of the guide—so you probably know what to do now. Whether you're going all in or giving it a skip, it all depends on your Primogem stash~
If your stash is running low, don't panic! LDShop Genshin Top-up is always on standby. Not only do we offer fast delivery, but we can also make your Primogem budget "magically stretch further"~ The traveler's secret supply station—if you know, you know!
