Cartethyia is an upcoming 5-star resonator for Wuthering Waves Version 2.4. She is an Aero Sword user who is classified as a main DPS, capable of shifting between two distinct combat forms: her standard Cartethyia form and the enhanced Fleurdelys state.

Alternatives

Although Cartethyia's weapon has unique stats and a specialized role, making it her true signature weapon, for Travelers who don't pull it, choosing a weapon with CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG attributes can still significantly enhance core combat effectiveness. Here are some alternative recommendations:

Rarity: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
	Blazing Brilliance Base ATK: 587 CRIT Rate: 48.6% Effect: ATK increased by 12%/15%/18%/21%/24%. The equipper gains 1 stack of Searing Feather upon dealing dam-age, which can be triggered once every 0.5s, and gains 5 stacks of the same effect upon casting Resonance Skill. Each stack of Searing Feather gives 4%/5%/6%/7%/8% additional Resonance Skill DMG Bonus for up to 14 stacks. All stacks will be removed within 10s after reaching the max stack.
	Red Spring Base ATK: 587 CRIT Rate: 24.3% Effect: Increase ATK by 12%/15%/18%/21%/24%. When dealing Basic Attack DMG, the wielder gains 10%/12.5%/15%/17.5%/20% Basic Attack DMG Bonus for 14s. This effect can be triggered once per second, stacking up to 3 times. When the wielder's Concerto Energy is consumed, gain 40%/50%/60%/70%/80% Basic DMG Bonus for 10s. This effect can be triggered once per second and ends when the wielder is switched off the field.

Signature Weapon vs Resonance Chain

Cartethyia's signature weapon has unique stats and design, being the only one with an HP% sub-stat. So far, there is no alternative of the same type, as most other swift blades primarily offer CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG, while Cartethyia's sword provides the one-of-a-kind HP% bonus and additionally increases Aero Erosion effect efficiency.

Moreover, according to beta server updates, Cartethyia’s Resonance Chain was significantly nerfed in the V2 stage. Therefore, based on the current situation, pulling for her signature weapon is the better choice.

Both Echoes Sets offer a +10% Aero DMG Bonus, the same as Windward Pilgrimage, soTravelers can also use the 2+2.

As a dual-form swordmaster with Aero specialization, Cartethyia excels in two primary team archetypes (DoT-heavy or Aero-focused team):

In the earlier V1 test build, both Cartethyia's charged attack and the 4th hit of her normal attack combo could apply Aero Erosion stacks to herself. However, according to the latest V2 patch notes, the Aero Erosion stacks around Cartethyia have been nerfed, and she can no longer consistently maintain sufficient buff stacks on her own.

This significantly increases the necessity of Ciaccona, who can easily apply Aero Erosion, as well as Aero Rover, which raises the maximum stack limit of Aero Erosion. Ciaccona’s role has now become far more crucial for Cartethyia’s optimal performance.
