In Wuthering Waves, Cartethyia is a female resonator who primarily wields the Aero element but according to several leaks, there's a high chance that she might dip into glacio as well, especially during her transformation. Cartethyia uses a sword weapon which is already intriguing since most Aero characters we've seen, tend to lean toward agility and finesse.

Increases HP by 12%. For 3 seconds after using a skill variation or normal attack, the damage dealt ignores 8% of the target's defense. When the target has more than 1 layer of Erosion effect, the damage dealt to the target is increased by 20%.

Cartethyia's exclusive weapon boasts unique stats and design, standing out as the only weapon with an HP bonus sub-stat. This clearly defines Cartethyia's role as a HP-based main DPS, solidifying her position as a core damage dealer.

Normal Attack: Sword to Carve My Forms

• Perform up to 4 consecutive attacks, dealing Aero DMG, considered Aero Erosion DMG.
• Following Basic Attack - Cartethyia Stage 4, inflict 2 stacks of Aero Erosion on targets hit and summon Sword of Divinity’s Shadow.
• Up to 1 Sword of Divinity’s Shadow may exist at the same time.

Heavy Attack - Cartethyia

• Consume STA to attack the target, dealing Aero DMG, inflicting 2 stacks of Aero Erosion and summoning Sword of Discord’s Shadow.
• Up to 1 Sword of Discord’s Shadow can exist at the same time.
• This instance of DMG is considered both Basic Attack DMG and Aero Erosion DMG.

Mid-air Attack - Cartethyia

• Consume STA to attack the target, dealing Aero DMG, also considered Aero Erosion DMG.
• Following Mid-air Attack - Cartethyia, recall all Sword Shadows and, based on the kinds and number of Sword Shadows, enhance the range and DMG of the next Plunging Attack and obtain the corresponding Heart of Virtue, Mandate of Divinity, and Power of Discord

Dodge Counter - Cartethyia

• Press Normal Attack shortly after a successful Dodge to attack and Stagnate the target, dealing Aero DMG, considered Aero Erosion.

 

Resonance Skill: Sword to Bear Their Names

• Attack the target, launch nearby enemies and then plunge them to the ground, dealing Aero DMG and inflicting 2 stacks of Aero Erosion on the targets hit. This instance of DMG is considered both Basic Attack DMG and Aero Erosion DMG.
• Following Cartethyia - Resonance Skill, summon Sword of Virtue’s Shadow. Up to 1 Sword of Virtue’s Shadow can exist at the same time.

 

Resonance Liberation: A Kight's Heartfelt Prayers

• Cartethyia transforms into Fleurdelys and unlock new moves: With HP reduced to 50% of the Max HP, enter Manifest state for 12 (No HP cost when HP is below 50%).

In Manifest:

• Fleurdelys gains 60% Aero DMG.
• Fleurdelys’sattacks accumulate Resolve. When Resolve reaches 120 points, press Resonance Liberation to cast Resonance Liberation - Blade of Howling Squall.
• When Resolve is below 120 points, press Resonance Liberation to transform back into Cartethyia. In the duration of Manifest, casting Resonance Liberation - A Kight’s Heartfelt Prayers as Cartethyia consumes no Resonance Energy.
• When Fleurdelys has Heart of Virtue in Manifest:
  • Basic Attack - Fleurdelys Stage 4 will generate a force field to Stagnate the targets within the range.
  • Fleurdelys’s resistance to interruption increases while airborne.
  • Heart of Virtue is removed when Manifest ends.
• When Fleurdelys has Mandate of Divinity in Manifest, gain the following effect:
  • Aero Erosion’s DMG is Amplified by 50% and the damage interval is decreased by 50% for enemies within a certain distance from Fleurdelys.
  • Mandate of Divinity is removed when Manifest ends.
• When Fleurdelys has Power of Discord in Manifest, gain the following effect:
  • Basic Attack - Fleurdelys Stage 4 , Mid-air Attack - Fleurdelys Stage 3 and Resonance Skill - May Tempest Break the Tides will immediately trigger 1 instance of Aero Erosion DMG and consume 1 stack of Aero Erosion.
  • Power of Discord is removed when Manifest ends.
• Fleurdelys cannot use Grapple and using other Utilities will transform her back to Cartethyia. Fleurdelys is able to walk on water. STA is consumed over time while on water.

Avatar - Cartethyia

• As Fleurdelys, when Resolve is below 120, press Resonance Liberation to temporarily transform back to Cartethyia.

Avatar - Fleurdelys

• When in Manifest, casting Resonance Liberation as Cartethyia does not consume Resonance Energy and transforms her back to Fleurdelys.
• Can be cast in mid-air.

Resonance Liberation - Blade of Howling Squall

• When Fleurdelys has 120 points of Resolve, Resonance Liberation - A Kight’s Heartfelt Prayers is replaced by Resonance Liberation - Blade of Howling Squall.
• Casting Resonance Liberation - Blade of Howling Squall restores 70% of Max HP and deals Aero DMG to all targets in an area along a straight line in front. Upon hitting the target, remove all stacks of Aero Erosion on the target. Each stack removed increases the DMG taken by the targets by 20% max 5 stacks.
• Can be cast in mid-air.

 

Intro Skill: A Sword of Tides' Past

Cartethyia - Intro Skill:

• Deal Aero DMG and summon Sword of Discord’s Shadow, inflicting 2 stacks of Aero Erosion on targets hit. Up to 1 Sword of Discord’s Shadow can exist at the same time.
• This instance of damage is also considered Aero Erosion DMG.

Fleurdelys - Intro Skill:

• Thrust forward to impale the target, dealing Aero Erosion and accumulate certain points of Resolve.
• This instance of damage is considered Heavy Attack DMG.

 

Outro Skill: Wind's Divine Blessing

• DMG dealt by the active Resonator in the team other than Cartethyia and Fleurdelys to targets with Negative Statuses is Amplified by 17.5% for 20s.

Forte Circuit: Tempest

• Cartethyia unlocks new moves when she transforms into Fleurdelys:

Fleurdelys - Basic Attack

• Basic Attack - Cartethyia is replaced by Basic Attack - Fleurdelys
• Perform up to 5 consecutive attacks, dealing Aero DMG and restoring Resolve.

Mid-air Attack - Fleurdelys

• Mid-air Attack - Cartethyia is replaced by Mid-air Attack - Fleurdelys
• Perform up to 3 consecutive attacks in the air at the cost of STA, dealing Aero DMG and restoring Resolve.

Mid-air Heavy Attack - Fleurdelys

• When Fleurdelys is airborne, hold Normal Attack to attack the target at the cost of STA, dealing Aero DMG and restoring Resolve.
• Mid-air Heavy Attack - Fleurdelys can be chained in the Mid-air Attack - Fleurdelys combo by holding Basic Attack.

Heavy Attack - Fleurdelys

• Heavy Attack - Cartethyia is replaced by Heavy Attack - Fleurdelys
• Thrust forward to deliver a focused strike, dealing Aero DMG and restoring Resolve.

Enhanced Heavy Attack - Fleurdelys

In the action of Heavy Attack - Fleurdelys, press Normal Attack again to cast Enhanced Heavy Attack - Fleurdelys: fall back and blast the area in a straight line in front, dealing Aero DMG and restoring Resolve.

Upward Cut - Fleurdelys

While Fleurdelys is on the ground, Jump to cast this skill, dealing Aero DMG and restoring Resolve.

Upward Cut - Fleurdelys can be chain the combo via the following ways:

• • Press Jump while in the action of Enhanced Heavy Attack - Fleurdelys.
  • Press Jump while in the action of Basic Attack - Fleurdelys.

Dodge Counter - Fleurdelys

• Dodge Counter - Cartethyia is replaced by Dodge Counter - Fleurdelys
• Press Normal Attack in time following a successful Dodge, dealing Aero DMG and restoring Resolve.
• The next Basic Attack combo following this skill starts from Basic Attack - Fleurdelys Stage 4.

Resonance Skill - May My Sword Answer Waves’ Call

• Resonance Skill - Cartethyia is replaced by Resonance Skill - Sword to Answer Waves’ Call.
• Summon a force field near the target’s location which continuously pulls in the nearby targets, dealing Aero DMG and restoring Resolve.
• This skill can be cast in mid-air.

 

Resonance Skill - May Tempest Break the Tides

• Following Resonance Skill - May My Sword Answer Waves’ Call, press Resonance Skill to call down a giant Sword Shadow to crush an area around the target, dealing Aero DMG on ground targets and accumulating Resolve. This instance of DMG is considered Basic Attack DMG.
• This skill can be cast in mid-air.

 

Inherent Skill: A Heart's Truest Wishes

• When Cartethyia’s Outro Skill is triggered, the healing received by all Resonators in the team is increased by 20%. If Rover is in the team, Rover’s resistance to interruption is increased.

 

Inherent Skill: A Heart's Truest Wishes

• When Cartethyia and Fleurdelys attack a target, the DMG taken by the target is Amplified by 10% for each 1 stack of Aero Erosion, up to 60%.

• S1: Crown Destined by Fate
  • Fleurdelys’s Basic Attack - Fleurdelys Stage 5, Mid-air Attack - Fleurdelys Stage 2, Enhanced Heavy Attack - Fleurdelys and Resonance Skill - May Tempest Break the Tides will raise the Aero Erosion stacks on all targets hit to match the highest stack count among them.
  • Defeating targets with Aero Erosion as Cartethyia and Fleurdelys grants Zeal that lasts for 10s.
  • In the Zeal state, the highest stack count of Aero Erosion among the targets defeated will be recorded and inflicted upon the next target hit. This will not exceed the current max Aero Erosion stacks. Zeal is removed afterwards and enter a 1s cooldown.
  • When Fleurdelys’s Resolve hits 30/60/90/120, her Crit. DMG is increased by 20% for 15s. The duration of this effect does not reset upon gaining new stacks. Resonance Liberation - Blade of Howling Squall will remove the Crit. DMG increased effect.

• S2: Blade Broken by Tempest
  • Casting Resonance Liberation - Cartethyia increases the max stack of Aero Erosion by 3 stack. The next attack inflicts 3 stack of Aero Erosion and immediately trigger the Aero Erosion DMG on the target once without consuming the Aero Erosion stacks.
  • Cartethyia’s Basic Attack DMG multiplier is increased by 80% and Plunging Attack DMG multiplier by 300%.
  • After casting Mid-air Attack - Cartethyia, every 1 type of Shadow Shadow recalled reduces the cooldown of Resonance Skill - Cartethyia by 3s.
• S3: Hanged Prisoner in the Tower
  • Mid-air Attack - Fleurdelys Stage 1, Enhanced Heavy Attack - Fleurdelys, Basic Attack - Fleurdelys Stage 3 will inflict 2 stack of Aero Erosion on the targets hit. Resonance Skill - May My Sword Answer Waves’ Call inflicts 1stack of Aero Erosion.
  • DMG Multiplier of Resonance Skill - Blade of Howling Squall is increased by 100%.
• S4: Swan Song of Salvation
  • When Resonators in the team inflict Havoc Bane, Fusion Burst, Spectro Frazzle, Electro Flare, Glacio Chafe and Aero Erosion, all Resonators in the team gain 20% all Attribute DMG Bonus for 20s.
• S5: Hope Reshaped in Storms
  • When Cartethyia or Fleurdelys takes a fatal blow, they will not be downed by this instance of damage, will recover 10% of Max HP, and all DMG taken in the next 10s will be reduced by 80%. This effect can be triggered once every 10 min.
  • The HP cost for casting Resonance Liberation - Blade of Howling Squall is reduced to 25% of Max HP.
• S6: Tenuous Freedom, Tenaciously Fought
  • After casting Resonance Liberation - Blade of Howling Squall, raise the Aero Erosion stacks on the target to the max. Fleurdelys gains new abilities: For 30s, when any Resonator in the team inflicts Aero Erosion on the targets with max stacks of Aero Erosion, immediately trigger the Aero Erosion DMG.
  • The targets take 40% increased DMG from Fleurdelys.
