Escoffier is a Cryo polearm character who excels at enabling Cryo elemental reactions and boosting team damage. She uses wide-area Cryo attacks and a summonable Cooking Mek to continuously apply Cryo, making it easier to trigger Elemental Reaction Application.

Her Burst deal a big blast of Cryo Damage instance to all enemies surrounding her and instantly heal all party members by a large amount proportional to her attack stat.

Escoffier’s passive talent greatly reduces enemy Cryo resistance—up to 55%—but requires a full team of Cryo and Hydro allies to be most effective.

Main DPS

Skirk is a 5-star Cryo Sword character. Like Mavuika, her Elemental Burst does not rely on Elemental Energy, but instead consumes a special resource known as Serpent's Subtlety. Skirk has two main ways to deal damage.

The first focuses on her Normal Attacks. By tapping her Elemental Skill, Skirk enters Seven-Phase Flash mode, allowing her to consume Serpent's Subtlety to perform enhanced Normal Attacks.

The second approach emphasizes burst damage. Skirk can consume all available Serpent's Subtlety to unleash her Elemental Burst — Havoc: Ruin. The damage of this ability scales with the amount of Serpent's Subtlety consumed.

Is Escoffier a must pull fot Skirk?

Performance Analysis

In Genshin Impact Version 5.6, Escoffier has proven to be an exceptional addition as a Cryo support unit. When paired with traditional Cryo carries, she significantly elevates team performance through healing, enemy resistance shred, and elemental buffs. While her kit primarily buffs Cryo and Hydro units, this niche focus aligns with the current trend of dual-element supports like Chevreuse and Escoffier herself, who amplify two elements simultaneously.

Escoffier’s dominance has heightened anticipation for her dedicated DPS counterpart, Skirk, who is also designed for Cryo-Hydro teams. Leaks suggest she provides the highest synergy with Skirk. Despite recent V3 buffs to Skirk’s Eidolon 1 (E1) and Eidolon 2 (E2), even her C0 iteration boasts overpowered stats, rivaling "F2P powerhouses".

In V3, Skirk's E skill cooldown has been reduced by 1 second, and the skill multiplier has been increased by 1%-5%. The first constellation's mechanism now triggers multiple times based on the number of energy balls absorbed, and the second constellation's short E normal attack now provides a 60% increase in attack damage. These changes have made Skirk a purely super-model god-tier character, capable of handling most combat scenarios even at 0-star.

Limitations & Risks

Despite her high strength, Skirk also has some obvious drawbacks. She is primarily bound to the Cryo-Hydro comps, which means her upper limit has been locked, leaving little room for other elemental characters. If targeted in the future, she may be easily weakened. Although she is positioned as a god-tier character for common players, her strength is still achieved by suppressing numerical inflation. Under equal resource investment, a team centered around Skirk may not be able to defeat Pyro-centric (e.g., "Pyro Archon") comps with the same resource investment. This is clearly in preparation for future version numerical adjustments for Natlan and Snezhnaya power spikes.

Skirk remains a top-tier pull in 5.6+, especially with Escoffier’s support. Her dedicated toolkit (signature weapon, artifact set, 5-star support, and even Spiral Abyss tuning) positions her as a low-investment, high-reward unit. However, her elemental inflexibility and looming meta shifts warrant caution for long-term planners.

✨TL;DR: Pull Skirk for immediate dominance, but expect diminishing returns as the meta evolves.

Pull Recommendations

1. For Cryo Team Players (Existing Investment)

If you main Cryo teams (e.g., with Kamisato Ayaka or Ganyu), Escoffier is a must-pull. Her RES reduction and sustained healing elevate Cryo teams’ offensive pressure and survivability, making her ideal for pushing Spiral Abyss progression or farming efficiency.

Recommendation: Pull Escoffier if your Cryo roster is already built — she’s the final piece for a meta-ready freeze/mono-Cryo comp.

2. For Skirk Enthusiasts (Future Cryo-Hydro Teams)

Escoffier is non-negotiable if you plan to run Skirk. Her synergy with Skirk is unparalleled, acting as the linchpin for Cryo-Hyperbloom or Permafreeze teams. Post-5.7, Escoffier’s role as a Cryo-Hydro dual buffer will dominate the meta.

Recommendation: Prioritize Escoffier+ Skirk if aiming for Cryo-Hydro supremacy.

3. For Non-Cryo Players (Flexibility Focus)

Skip both if your account focuses on Pyro/Electro teams (e.g., Hu Tao/Raiden comps) or lacks Cryo investment. Resource efficiency matters — pulling characters outside your core element risks stagnant progression.

Recommendation: Save Primogems for future Natlan (Pyro) or Snezhnaya (Cryo) units aligned with your roster.

Conclusion

In one sentence:Escoffier doesn’t need Skirk, but Skirk absolutely needs Escoffier.

→ Escoffier functions as a versatile Cryo-Hydro support, while Skirk relies on her for maximized DPS output.

Meta Priority:Both units dominate Cryo-Hydro comps.Pulling them is mandatory if:

→ You run/maintain such teams.

→ You aim for Abyss dominance in 5.6-5.7.

Limitation:Value Primogems in Pyro/Electro-centric teams.Skip if:

❌ Your resources are locked to non-Cryo/Hydro units.

❌ Long-term flexibility

Final Verdict:

→ Invest only if committing to Cryo-Hydro synergy.

→ Save for Natlan/Snezhnaya if your roster leans elsewhere.
