In Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), players would need to craft teams to dominate battles and challenging end-game content like Shiyu Defense, Deadly Assault, and Simulated Battle Trial. Agents with diverse roles, elemental attributes, and factional synergies will lead to strong teams that will eventually dominate all types of challenges in ZZZ.
Let’s follow LDShop for the breakdown of some of the best Zenless Zone Zero team comps that will dominate the end-game content.

How teams work in ZZZ?
Teams in Zenless Zone Zerp are made up of three different types of Agents, plus a robot known as Bangboo. Each of those three Agents plays one of the typical roles: Main DPS, Sub DPS, and Support. As of version 1.7, there are five Agent categories in ZZZ :
- Attack Agents - deal the most damage.
- Anomaly Agents - deal elemental damage.
- Stun Agents - primary role is to build the enemy’s Daze gauge.
- Support Agents - mostly consist of party-wide buffers, healers.
- Defense Agents - primary role is to take the incoming hit and protect their allies.
- Bangboo - AI-controlled support unit.
Some of these team comps do need premium characters, which are locked behind paid character banners. So, in that case, players can use the Zenless Zone Zero top up service to acquire some premium currency that they can spend on their favourite character banners. The best platform to make the top-up is LDShop, it lets players top up for less and it is a great way to save money.
Now, let's discuss some of the best teams for ZZZ end-game content in the following part.
Best teams for Shiyu Defense, Deadly Assault, and more in ZZZ
Miyabi + Yanagi + Astra Yao
Miyabi
She is the main DPS for this comp, as an Anomaly Agent, she even hits hard without special effects. When her allies apply an Anomaly effect, she gets to stack Fallen Frost. When the stack reaches six, she will unleash a massive attack that will wipe out any strong enemies.
Yanagi
She is a strong Anomaly unit. Her main focus in this comp is to trigger the Disorder, which will eventually help Miyabi deal more damage. So, the more Miyabi stacks Fallen Frost, the more damage she will be able to inflict on her enemies with her burst.
Astra Yao
She is currently the best support in the game. She can provide the team with a huge attack buff along with swapping characters for free. This will help Miyabi attack her enemies more without wasting any time. This will also let Miyabi and Yanagi recharge their EX-Specials faster while being off-field.
While Agent Gulliver is the perfect Bangboo choice for this comp. With two Section 6 faction members (Miyabi and Yanagi), it will boost the team’s Anomaly build-up, making the team stronger.
Evelyn + Lighter + Astra Yao
Evelyn
In this comp, she is the main DPS, meaning she will lead the charge against the foes. Unlike Miyabi, her AoE is less, but she is more of an active and versatile Agent, who can work with several other units. Evelyn's primary attacks focus on single-target, by tying them up with the Lunaluz Garotte, and it also hits the nearby foes.
Lighter
Currently, he is the best Stun unit in ZZZ after patch 1.6. His ability to reduce any enemy’s Ice and Fire resistance, while his own allies’ Fire and Ice damage output puts him in a league of his own. He can also increase the length of the Stun windows, giving more time for his team to make their impact on the field.
Astra Yao
As mentioned earlier, she is the best in the support class as of now, and being in the same Faction as Evelyn allows her to apply her ATK buff more often on her allies.
Snap
This is the best Bangboo option for this comp. It can buff the damage output for the team members; apart from this, it can also provide minor healing for the team.
Silver Soldier Anby + Pulchra/Trigger + Astra Yao
Silver Soldier Anby
She is a DPS unit who will hit her enemies to mark them with the Silver Star mark, and keep hitting them to charge it, and finally use her EX Special to use that charge to deal more significant damage. This type of gameplay mechanic makes her a signed target specialist.
Pulchra/Trigger
Both of these units are Aftershock-centric Stun units. Pulchra, an A-Rank Agent she relies mostly on her EX Special to apply a buff to Aftershock damage, while Trigger builds up the gauge meter by using his Basic Attack that applies additional Aftershock effects. Both of these units are compatible with Silver Soldier Anby, but Trigger is her best-in-slot partner.
Astra Yao
She is on this team for the same reason as she was on the previously mentioned comps. Her damage buff, Ultimate healing, and the free quick swap attacks are the primary reasons to keep her in the squad. But in this case, the Quick swap ability will be a good chance to build extra energy for both S-Anby and Pulchra. Although it is recommended to keep S-Anby to keep on-feld as much as the player can so that she can charge her abilities.
Plugboo
This is an S-Rank Bangboo and a perfect choice for this comp. Not only can it activate its passive Anomaly buildup skill, but also its Chain Attack passive ability. Although S-Anby and her squad aren’t Anomaly units, the extra Shock Anomaly damage is a nice addition.
Piper+ Anby+ Lucy
Piper
Piper is a known A-Rank Agent since the launch of the title. She is simple and has a straightforward gameplay mechanic, making her easy to play with. Most of her damage comes from her held EX Special spin. That same attack can build up a good amount of Physical Anomaly, which, when paired with the rest of her team, makes Piper a real challenge for her enemies.
Anby Demara
An A-Rank Agent who is completely free and, like Piper, easy to play. Her main Daze damage comes from her EX Special and a few other combos that she can work around with. With the recent introduction of Pulchra, Anby might feel the effects of power creep, but she is still a worthy Agent to build.
Lucy
She is among the game's most adaptable Agents. Lucy is a fantastic alternative to Astra Yao because of her Fire Anomaly accumulation, free quick swap, and Attack bonus. However, if the player doesn't have Astra/Caesar, don't worry, Lucy can still buff the team significantly better than some other Agents.
Rocketboo
This is the best option for this team comp. Rocketboo can deal Fire-attribute damage and can build up Fire Anomaly, which will align perfectly with Lucy’s Fire Anomaly focus.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Zenless Zone Zero is a game that offers a varied range of team comps with various Playstyles and end-game challenges like Shiyu Defense, Deadly Assault, and more. If Agents like Evelyn and Miyabi are paired with good supports like Astra Yao or Lucy, and Stun units like Lighter, then players would be able to dominate these end-game challenges without any worry.
