HSR 4.0 New Relics Are Here: Magical Girl vs. Diviner Sets

HSR 4.0 just dropped two relic sets that target very different playstyles. One is clearly built for the Elation crowd, while the other is a Speed-gated consistency set that can make your fast carries feel way less “RNG-dependent” from the first action. In this article, we’ll break down what each set is trying to reward and who actually benefits the most in real teams.

2-Pc: Increases CRIT DMG by 16%.

4-Pc: The Elation DMG dealt by the wearer and their memosprites ignores 10% of targets' DEF. For every 5 accumulated Punchline allies gain, the Elation DMG dealt additionally ignores 1% of targets' DEF, which stacks up to 10 time(s).

Right now, the only characters who can fully use this set are Yao Guang and Sparxie, simply because they’re the only Path of Elation units listed in the current 4.0 beta databases.

Why it fits Yao Guang

Yao Guang is a support-style Elation engine: her Skill deploys a Zone that scales off her Elation and she generates Punchlines after using Basic ATK or Skill, so she ramps the set’s Punchline-based scaling naturally just by playing her normal rotation.

More importantly, while she has Certified Banger, allies’ attacks trigger Great Boon for extra Elation damage, with additional procs based on Skill Points consumed, and those procs can use Yao Guang’s Elation if it’s higher. That’s basically “team plays normally → Yao Guang prints more Elation instances.”

Why it fits Sparxie

Sparxie is a carry-style Elation hitter: her Ultimate gains Punchline points (and can gain more via a bonus trace in Elation-heavy teams), so she accelerates the set’s ramp quickly.

Her Elation Skill is also a multi-hit sequence that explicitly counts Punchlines and turns them into Thrill, which she can spend to offset SP while still counting as SP consumption—perfect for maintaining high-tempo burst turns without stalling out.

Who should wear it?

If you’re only farming one full set, give it to the unit that actually converts Punchlines into the most Elation damage in your comp.

  • Sparxie wears it best when she’s your main DPS. Her core burst is a Punchline-counted, multi-hit Elation Skill, so higher Punchline scaling gets cashed out immediately on her biggest turns.
  • Yao Guang wears it best when she’s the main Elation source. If your other teammates aren’t Elation carries, her Certified Banger → Great Boon procs become the bulk of your Elation instances, so boosting her scaling gives the most teamwide payoff.

2-Pc: Increases SPD by 6%.

4-Pc: Before entering combat, if the wearer's SPD is greater than or equal to 120/160, increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 10%/18%. When the wearer uses Elation Skill for the first time in each battle, enhances all allies' Elation by 10%. This effect cannot stack.

Recommended Holders

Yao Guang

Yao Guang

This is the easiest slam-dunk because Speed is already her core stat. One of her Traces explicitly rewards hitting a Speed threshold and then converts extra Speed into more Elation scaling, so building fast is never “wasted.” The set’s free Crit Rate then stabilizes her own multi-instance damage and makes her opener feel less RNG—perfect for a unit that wants to start the fight in control and keep her engine consistent.

Sparxie

Sparxie

Sparxie’s damage comes in long, highlight-reel strings, so Crit consistency matters a ton—one unlucky chain can tank your whole burst turn. Her kit also has “Engagement Farming” loops that aren’t even counted as using a Skill, letting her keep a rapid tempo without awkward rotation friction. If you’re building her as a fast, combo-heavy carry, this set basically makes those bounce-heavy turns feel cleaner and more reliable.

It fits Yao Guang more cleanly. She already wants heavy Speed for her kit’s scaling, so hitting the Speed gate is basically “free” and you’re just cashing out extra crit consistency. Sparxie can use it too, but she’s often more flexible between Speed and offensive stats—if meeting the gate forces awkward Speed stacking, she usually prefers damage-first setups over chasing a pre-fight crit bonus.

Other Available Holders

Acheron

Acheron

Even if you don’t go full speed boots, Acheron usually hits the lower Speed tier with decent subs, and the extra Crit Rate is huge because her damage is “all-in” on big Ult windows. It helps you run a heavier Crit DMG focus without praying for perfect rolls, so her stacks-to-Ult cashout feels less coin-flippy. If you do speed-tune her, she also benefits from acting earlier to start building momentum faster.

Jingliu

Jingliu

Jingliu’s enhanced state hits hard, but missing crits feels awful because her burst turns are where the fight gets decided. She commonly sits around the 120-ish Speed range (or can reach it easily), so this set is a clean way to stabilize her crit math while you keep stacking Crit DMG and ATK. It’s especially comfy for players who hate “my Jingliu didn’t crit and the wave lived” moments.

Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae

Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae

IL’s entire rotation is “spend SP now, delete something now.” That means crit consistency has extra value, because one non-crit on a powered Basic can tank your whole tempo plan. He’s not a natural 160 Speed unit, but the 120 tier is very realistic, especially with speed subs or Speed boots in certain teams. This set basically smooths out his burst turns so they land the way you expect.

Jing Yuan

Jing Yuan

Jing Yuan’s damage is spread across Skill, Ult, and follow-up pressure, so Crit Rate helps keep the whole package consistent instead of spiking or whiffing. He’s also a unit many players speed-tune for turn order comfort (getting actions in cleanly, keeping flow steady), so meeting the Speed threshold is usually not a “rebuild your relics” requirement. If you’re already running a faster JY, this set is an easy consistency upgrade.

Blade

Blade

Blade does lots of repeated hits across his enhanced Basics and follow-up triggers, so Crit Rate scales nicely because it smooths multiple damage instances rather than one nuke. He’s also commonly built with decent Speed for rotation feel and survivability rhythm, so hitting 120 is straightforward. If your Blade is already on the faster side, the higher Speed tier becomes a realistic min-max goal without gutting his core stats.

Conclusion

If you’re an Elation main, your priority is simple: farm the set that scales with your Punchline engine and decide whether Sparxie (main DPS) or Yao Guang (main Elation source) should wear the full set first.

For everyone else, the Speed-check relic is a nice “make my crits behave” option—great when your build already chases turn order. And if you’re planning to pull upgrades in 4.0, a quick top-up on LDShop can help you lock your new gear + Light Cone plans without missing the hype window.
