ZZZ 2.1 Banner Leaks! New Characters Orphie, Yuzuha, Alice & Komano Manato

In the ZZZ 2.0 Special Program, aside from all the juicy details about version 2.0, the devs also teased some upcoming characters for 2.1.

Both the Obol Squad and the new faction Spook Shack will be joining the lineup in the next update.

ZZZ 2.1 Release Date

Based on the usual six-week update cycle, version 2.1 is expected to drop on July 16, 2025.

Keep an eye on HoYoverse’s official channels for confirmation—2.1’s Special Program is likely to air in early July, about two weeks before the update goes live.

 

2.1 Banner Predictions

According to leaks from Firefly, version 2.1 will likely feature three new characters:

P1	S-Rank	Orphie
	A-Rank	Manato
P2	S-Rank	Yuzuha

Firefly might be hit or miss depending on the mood, but Seele reposted this one—so hey, maybe it’s legit.

 

New Characters in ZZZ 2.1

Orphie

If you’ve followed the Obol Squad—an elite Defense Force team—you already know Trigger and Soldier 11. In Season 2, we’ll finally meet another member: Orphie!

She’s the kind of girl who holds the spear, but it’s actually the Magus on her tail calling the shots—literally. Her role hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but many players suspect she’s part of the Follow-Up Attack Squad.

Here’s the logic: Yuzuha, Manato, and Alice are in the same faction, but Orphie’s from Obol Squad, so not directly connected. Then there’s Anby, who’s Follow-Up Attack Squad but currently only buffs Trigger—a character who doesn’t output much damage. Anby’s personal DPS contribution is also only around 50%, so it’s clear the squad is missing a key member.

Orphie appears in the story during a Hollow Zero Phantom Paths—a new Hollow type added in 2.0 with a special Follow-Up Attack mechanic.

Looking at her design: no knuckle dusters, no knee or elbow guards. The only offensive element? The ghost flame cannon on her tail. So it’s unlikely she’s a main on-field DPS—probably a fast-swap unit.

In short: Follow-Up Attack Squad likely needs a support or sub-DPS. Orphie doesn’t seem built to replace Anby, so the safest bet is that she’ll be a flexible utility pick.

 

Komano Manato

One of the few muscle bros in Zenless, Manato’s outfit... well, let’s just say it could use some work. Let’s hope the devs clean it up a bit later. Leak source Firefly says he’ll be an A-Rank character.

 

Yuzuha

Yuzuha rocks a red-themed design, which strongly suggests she’s Fire-element—that’s just how ZZZ rolls. She wields an umbrella-shaped spear—not exactly high firepower—and has a little raccoon buddy on her back. It’s not just a backpack, it moves on its own and is probably a summon, like Lucy’s pig.

Overall, she has a cute vibe and not many overtly aggressive elements, so Yuzuha might be a Fire support with summoning mechanics.

 

Alice

Alice uses a rapier and her color palette is black, white, and light gold. Paired with Red Hugo from 2.0, she’s likely a Physical DPS.

 

New Faction: Spook Shack

The Spook Shack is a faction dedicated to the investigation and revelation of supernatural phenomena. This unique group brings a fresh narrative layer to the game. Their mission is not only to explore, but also to combat the mysterious and otherworldly threats that plagued their world.

With their fondness for revealing the unknown, this faction adds an intriguing supernatural twist to the already rich lore of Zenless Zone Zero. The members of the Spook Shack made their debut appearance in the season 2 promotional video, showcasing a unique character's design and glimpses of their personalities.
