In Neverness to Everness, anomalies are not just side content — they are part of the identity of Hethereau. NTE is officially described as a supernatural open-world RPG set in Hethereau, where the player becomes the first “unlicensed” Anomaly Hunter and joins Eibon Antique Shop, a place that survives by taking on Anomaly commissions from the public.
That means NTE can refer to several connected systems: Anomaly Commissions, High-Risk Anomaly Commissions, Anomaly Zones, Anomaly Hunts, Anomaly Pilgrimages, and story-only Anomaly bosses. This guide brings them together in one place so you know what each type means, where to find them, what rewards to expect, and which ones deserve your stamina first.
What Are Anomalies in NTE?

In NTE, Anomalies are supernatural incidents, entities, bosses, puzzles, or strange urban phenomena scattered across Hethereau. Some appear as one-time story-like missions, while others function as repeatable farming content.
The most important distinction is this:
Anomaly Commissions
Anomaly Commissions are exploration missions where you track down and resolve specific Anomalies. These can include puzzles, combat encounters, horror-style sequences, driving segments, boss fights, or strange city events.
Anomaly Zones
Anomaly Zones are farming stages used to obtain account progression materials such as Character EXP materials, Arc EXP materials, Arc Ascension materials, Esper Ability materials, Consoles, and related upgrade resources. Current guides list 5 main Anomaly Zones across Hethereau. ( HYPERLINK "https://gamewith.net/nte/75700" \o "NTE | Anomaly Zone Guide - Locations and Materials | Neverness to Everness - GameWith" \u0014GameWith\u0015)
Anomaly Hunts
Anomaly Hunts are overworld boss encounters. These bosses appear at fixed or special conditions around the map and are mainly used for character development materials.
Anomaly Pilgrimages
Anomaly Pilgrimages are weekly boss-style challenges. They can be fought repeatedly, but their important rewards are limited per week.
How to Find Anomaly Commissions in NTE

The easiest way to find Anomaly Commissions is to open the Anomaly Commissions UI from the World Map, check the file for the Anomaly you want to hunt, and follow the rough location clue. Once you reach the correct area, the starting point is usually nearby, although some are deliberately hidden or tied to rooftops, alleys, tunnels, or special interiors.
Many Anomaly Commissions scale with your current level, so you do not need to clear every commission immediately. If a fight feels too hard, you can leave it and come back later. Some boss-style commissions also have harder versions, giving players a place to test stronger teams.
Why You Should Clear Anomaly Commissions
Anomaly Commissions are one of the best early-to-mid game activities because they reward useful one-time resources. Common rewards include:
- Hunter Level EXP
- Annulith
- Fons
- Bronze Carrota / Silver Carrota
- U-00NE
- Beetle Coins
- Anomaly Material Selection Box I
- Unique materials
- S-Rank Arc rewards
- Hunter Level EXP
- Annulith
- Fons
- Bronze Carrota / Silver Carrota
- U-00NE
- Beetle Coins
- Anomaly Material Selection Box I
- Unique materials
- S-Rank Arc rewards
One of the biggest reasons to clear them is weapon progression. Multiple sources confirm that standard S-Rank Arcs can be obtained once through Anomaly Commissions, letting players strengthen their teams without spending Tri-Keys on weapon pulls.

All Common Anomaly Commissions in NTE

These are worth doing once your team has enough survivability, upgraded Arcs, and a stable rotation. They are also useful for practicing boss mechanics, especially if you want to test new Appraiser teams against harder encounters.
All Anomaly Zones in NTE

Anomaly Zones are different from Anomaly Commissions. Instead of one-time city incidents, they are farming stages for account progression. Each Anomaly Zone unlocks Warp access after you visit it once in person, making daily farming much easier.
Houdinii's Magic Stage
Location: Southeast of Green Wall Slope in Bridge Crossings, accessible through Fiscus Avenue.
Main materials: Character EXP materials, Arc EXP materials, Beetle Coins.
Priority: Very high in the early game.
This should be one of your first farming stops whenever your Appraisers or Arcs fall behind in level.
Bubble Can Factory
Location: Nutcracker Road, under Iris Bridge in New Herland District.
Main materials: Arc Ascension materials.
Priority: High.
Use this zone when your main Arcs hit level caps and need Ascension materials to continue scaling.
Houdinii's Schemes
Location: Behind “Griddy” Storage Lockers on Saint Torres Avenue, near Miguel Street.
Main materials: Esper Ability upgrade materials.
Priority: Medium to high.
Once your characters and Arcs are leveled, Esper Ability upgrades become a major source of power.
Rabbit Hole
Location: On top of a high-rise building in Cape Square, New Herland District.
Main materials: Consoles, Carrota, Console Module enhancement materials.
Priority: Low early, very high later.
Rabbit Hole is not the best place to spend stamina too early. S-Rank Console farming becomes more relevant around Hunter Level 30+, and serious farming is usually better after unlocking higher difficulties.
Beyond the Rails
Main reward: Train Logs.
Special note: Unlike standard Anomaly Zones, Beyond the Rails is a seasonal mode and does not consume Character Pixels. Train Logs can be exchanged in its dedicated shop.

All Anomaly Hunts in NTE
Anomaly Hunts are overworld boss encounters. These bosses are important because they drop development materials for character progression.

Do Anomaly Hunts when you need character Ascension materials. Since these bosses are tied to development progress, they often matter more than routine EXP farming once your team reaches Ascension breakpoints.
All Anomaly Pilgrimage Bosses in NTE
Anomaly Pilgrimage bosses are weekly reward bosses. You can challenge them when unlocked, but the major rewards are limited per week.
|

Senior Hunter Guide, Colorless Dye, Good Boy Stamp, Arcane Thread |
|
Never-Ending Arachne |

Senior Hunter Guide, Colorless Dye, Dress Sleeves of Vanity, Arcane Thread |
Plan your weekly Anomaly Pilgrimage clears before spending too much stamina elsewhere. Since these bosses have limited reward claims, missing a weekly cycle can slow down Esper Ability progression.

Story-Only Anomaly Bosses
Some Anomaly bosses are tied to the main story and cannot be freely refarmed afterward. These are mainly progression encounters rather than repeatable farming targets.

Conclusion
Anomalies are one of the most important systems in Neverness to Everness. They are not limited to a single activity type: they include one-time Anomaly Commissions, tougher High-Risk Commissions, material-focused Anomaly Zones, overworld Anomaly Hunts, weekly Anomaly Pilgrimages, and story-only bosses.
If you want to understand Hethereau, follow its Anomalies. They are the city’s mysteries, its progression path, and one of the best ways to build a stronger team without wasting resources.
