The Valorant V26 Act 6 map pool is officially here, and it brings two swaps. Bind and Corrode return to the competitive rotation, while Ascent and Split leave. The leaked seven-map pool is Abyss, Bind, Corrode, Haven, Lotus, Summit, and Sunset. Let’s follow LDShop as we break down the full map list, the release date, every map left out, and the official Corrode rework coming with it.

V26 Act 6 Map Pool (Leaked): All 7 Maps

These seven maps make up the Competitive, Deathmatch, and Premier pool in Season 2026 Act 6:

Map

Act 6 Status

Spike Sites

Signature Feature

Abyss

Staying

2

No outer walls, so players can fall off the map

Bind

Returning

2

No mid lane, two one-way teleporters

Corrode

Returning

2

Three-lane French castle town turned salt mine

Haven

Staying

3

Three sites to defend

Lotus

Staying

3

Rotating stone doors

Summit

Staying

2

Three droppable walls on A, B, and Mid

Sunset

Staying

2

Classic three-lane city layout

Five of the seven maps carry over from Act 5, so most of your current practice still pays off. Summit, which arrived with the Act 4 update in June, keeps its spot as the newest map. The bigger shift is in map style. Ascent and Split were the two most straightforward maps in rotation. Without them, four of the seven maps rely on a special mechanic: the Abyss drops, the Bind teleporters, the Lotus doors, and the Summit walls.

Maps Leaving and Returning in V26A6

This swap almost reverses the April rotation, when Ascent came back in place of Bind.

Background

Ascent

Out

Back since April 28 (Patch 12.08), about five and a half months

Split

Out

In the pool since October 2025, close to a full year

Bind

In

Removed on April 28 (Patch 12.08)

Corrode

In

Removed on March 17 (Patch 12.05), about seven months away

Losing Ascent will sting for many players. It has rarely sat outside the rotation since launch. Split's exit makes more sense, since it has been in the pool for a full year straight.

V26A6 Map Pool vs Current Act 5 Map Pool

The current pool has been live since Patch 13.04 on August 18, when Abyss replaced Breeze. Riot made no map changes in the two patches that followed.

Maps Not in the V26 Act 6 Map Pool

The game currently has 13 standard maps. These six will sit out of Competitive and Deathmatch:

  • Ascent: Leaving with Act 6.
  • Split: Leaving with Act 6.
  • Breeze: Removed on August 18 with Patch 13.04.
  • Fracture: Removed on June 23 with Patch 13.00.
  • Pearl: Removed on June 23 with Patch 13.00.
  • Icebox: Out of the rotation for more than 400 days.

All of these maps stay playable in Unrated, Swiftplay, and Spike Rush. They just will not count toward your rank. For a clear breakdown of how RR and ranked queues work, check our competitive system guide. Icebox fans will have to keep waiting, as it now has the longest absence of any map in the game.

V26 Act 6 Map Pool Release Date

Season 2026 Act 6 is set to begin on October 14, 2026. The new map pool goes live with the act patch on that day. Exact rollout times usually vary by region.

Champions Shanghai runs until its Grand Final on October 18. Pro teams will finish the event on the current pool, since Riot typically keeps the tournament patch locked. Act 6 covers the off-season, so this pool mainly affects ranked and Premier players for now.

The act should also bring a new Battle Pass, and Riot has already teased a new agent. If you plan to unlock the pass on day one, a quick Valorant top up before patch day saves you a last-minute rush. Expect the official map pool confirmation in the patch notes. The best platform to make the top-up is LDShop, it lets players top up for less and it is a great way to save money.

How the V26A6 Map Pool Leak Developed

  1. Early October: The same dataminer first claimed Corrode was returning for certain. At that point, the map leaving was either Haven or Ascent. Bind's return was described only as a possibility.
  2. October 8: A follow-up leak confirmed both swaps. Ascent goes out for Corrode, and Split goes out for Bind.

The second leak resolved both open questions. Haven stays, and Bind's return moved from "maybe" to confirmed. Tracking leaks this way helps judge how much to trust them. A refined claim from the same source usually carries more weight than a single early hint.

Corrode Rework Leak for V26 Act 6

Corrode does not return in the exact same form. Riot officially confirmed adjustments to Corrode's Defender Paths, Mid, and A Site Plant Zone.

Area

Current Version

Version in Trailer

Mid building corner

Boxes replaced by a wall

Mid to A passage

Current layout

Riot keeps removing awkward corners and clutter from maps during their breaks. Old Corrode mid setups may need rethinking once the patch drops.

Full 2026 Valorant Map Pool Rotation History

Riot has swapped maps almost every act this year. Here is every change so far:

Patch

Date

Maps In

Maps Out

12.05

March 17

Fracture, Lotus

Corrode, Abyss

12.08

April 28

Ascent

Bind

13.00

June 23

Summit (new), Sunset

Fracture, Pearl

13.04

August 18

Abyss

Breeze

Act 6 (leaked)

October 14

Bind, Corrode

Ascent, Split

Two patterns stand out. Haven has stayed in the pool through every act of 2026. Maps also tend to return after five to seven months away. Abyss followed exactly that path, so Corrode's comeback right on schedule should not surprise anyone.

What the New Map Pool Means for Ranked Players

A few quick points will help before the rank reset:

  • Bind takes the most relearning. Many players have not played it in ranked since April, so teleporter timings will feel rusty. Strong entry players can punish slow rotations here, and our best duelist tier list for 2026 can help you pick the right one.
  • Corrode and Abyss are both large maps. Long defensive rotations will punish early overcommits.
  • Ascent and Split mains need a backup map. Spend some unrated games on Bind or Corrode now.

Conclusion

The official Valorant V26 Act 6 map pool brings Bind and Corrode back while removing Ascent and Split. The new rotation consists of Abyss, Bind, Corrode, Haven, Lotus, Summit, and Sunset, going live on October 14, 2026, alongside official layout updates to Corrode's defender paths, mid, and A site. With straightforward maps like Ascent out and complex mechanic-driven maps taking over, now is the perfect time to jump into unrated matches and adjust your agent picks before the new competitive season kicks off.
