The wait is over, Rovers! Chisa, the brilliant and enigmatic schoolgirl from Star Torch Academy, has finally arrived. Wielding her unique shape-shifting Broadblade that switches between swift scissors and a brutal chainsaw, she can go from calm analyst to a havoc-wreaking force in an instant.

Chisa Character Overview

Rarity: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Element: Havoc | Weapon: Broadblade

Chisa, a Havoc type Support character who specializes in amplifying team performance through the power of Negative Status effects. While her flashy design and weapon might suggest a Main DPS, she is instead built to enhance team damage through healing, debuffs, and defense manipulation, making her one of the most unique hybrid supports in Wuthering Waves.

Chisa Kit Breakdown

The main gimmick of Chisa’s kit is her Outro skill, which increases the maximum stacks of Negative Statuses that enemies can receive. This not a simple buff, it increase max DoT stacks for EVERY DoT type by 3 for 15s. And then inflcting DoT or dealing DoT damage ignores 18% enemy defense for 15s. So Cartethyia, Zani, Phoebe and any other future DoT units get crazy value from her. Much better than Shorekeeper for these specific teams.

She also provides additional support with her Resonance Liberation by restoring HP to all nearby Resonators. This Liberation also puts her into a enhanced state which boosts the damage multipliers of Sawring-Blitz and Eradication by 120%.

On top of that, when you consume Ring of Chainsaw for Sawring-Blitz at enhanced state, it further increase the Sawring-Eradication’s damage multiplier by another 120%. That’s 240% in total.

Chisa’s Rotation

Intro → Resonance Skill → Normal Attack → Resonance Liberation → Resonance Skill → Hold Normal Attack until Forte drained → Outro

Chisa’s rotation is similar to Iuno’s and takes about 12s. First, cast her Intro Skill to gain 25 to 100 Forte charge, so your bar will fill up a quarter. Then use Resonance Skill to gain more, which will change your Basics. This is how you get Death Snip, which heals as well.

Then you’ll only need to do couple of Basics to charge uo her Forte a little bit more. Then use Ultimate to get 40 Forte, this should fill up your meter.

Now your Skill has changed to Serrated Loop and CD resets, use Skill again. You can apply Havoc Bane (the Havoc DoT) and Chisa enters Chainsaw Mode. So you hold Basic Attacks until Forte is fully drained and use Outro.

 

Chisa Forte Priority

The highest priority are going to be her Inherent Skill, Forte Circuit, and Resonance Liberation since she does scale on Liberation damage the most. Her Normal Attack is slightly less of a priority but still important. The Resonance Skill and Intro Skill can be upgraded last. In short, the Forte priority for Chisa is:

Inherent Skill (Highest Priority) > Forte Circuit > Resonance Liberation > Basic Attack = Resonance Skill > Intro Skill.

Thread of Fate: Increases ATK by 12%/15%/18%/21%/24%. When using the Intro Skill or applying Negative Status, increases Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus by 8%/10%/12%/14%/16%, stackable up to 3 times for 15 seconds. At max stacks, when a team member applies Negative Status, increases all-attribute DMG Bonus by 24%/30%/36%/42%/48% for 15 seconds. Effects with the same name cannot stack.

Kumokiri is tailor-made for Chisa, perfectly amplifying every part of her kit — from her Resonance Liberation scaling to her Negative Status synergy and teamwide buffs.

The 500 ATK and 36% CRIT Rate sub-stat provide the ideal offensive foundation for Chisa, letting her easily hit stable CRIT thresholds while focusing her Echo sets on Havoc DMG or Healing as needed.

Its passive triggers whenever Chisa uses her Intro Skill or applies Negative Status, grants up to 24–48% Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus, directly boosting her chainsaw mode and ultimate.

At max stacks, Kumokiri further enables Chisa to buff the teammate: whenever any ally inflicts a Negative Status, gains up to 48% All-Attribute DMG Bonus for 15 seconds.

The 12.8% Energy Regen ensures Chisa can activate her Resonance Liberation more frequently, which is essential since Liberation is her main source of damage, healing, and team amplification. This stat directly improves her uptime on team buffs and Havoc zone control.

Every time Chisa casts her Resonance Skill, she gains a 7% Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus, stacking up to 21% total. Because Chisa often uses her Skill between rotations to maintain negative statuses and restore HP, she can easily maintain full stacks, translating into stronger, more consistent Liberation bursts.

Why it works:

Autumntrace offers a simple yet effective offensive boost for Chisa.It’s passive grants up to 20% ATK bonus by consistently using Basic or Heavy Attack, which are both natural parts of Chisa’s rotation. While Autumntrace doesn’t boost Chisa’s Liberation directly, it is not a top-tier option, but a cost-effective one with decent damage boost.

At S0, Chisa's overall damage output is slightly lower than a similarly invested Camellya. However, this is partly because her most synergistic teammates are still limited, making it harder to fully utilize her personal damage potential. For low-investment builds, you can try using Sanhua, the 4-star combat specialist, or Danjin, who boosts Havoc damage, as supports to enhance Chisa's own output.
