Doubled Pawns Matrix: Pilot

What is Doubled Pawns Matrix: Pilot?

Officially, Doubled Pawns Matrix: Pilot is a new high-difficulty recurring challenge. The game frames it with a short story hook: inside the “Spacetrek Collective’s database,” hidden attacks and defenses happen every day, and your job is to find the malice deep inside the matrix and delete it.

In simple terms, it’s a new combat-focused endgame mode where you need to build teams, choose buffs, and clear multiple difficult stages to earn points and claim rewards.

When is Doubled Pawns Matrix: Pilot available?

The official schedule calls it the First Phase Duration, running:

After Version 3.0 update — before Version 3.1 update maintenance, which is 25/12/2025 to 5/1/2026.

So it sounds like this mode will run in phases, giving players a reason to return and push higher each cycle.

Eligibility Requirements

This is not a beginner mode. The game sets clear requirements before you can even play:

  • Achieve at least 24 Crests in one phase of the Tower of Adversity’s Hazard Zone
  • Reach at least 3,500 points in one phase of Respawning Waters: Torrents in Whimpering Wastes (after 3.0 releases)

This makes Doubled Pawns Matrix feel like the “next step” after you’ve already proven you can handle the current endgame. It’s basically a reward for serious combat players who want something harder and more repeatable.

The Core Structure: Two Major Zones

Doubled Pawns Matrix: Pilot is divided into two major zones, you must clear all challenges in the first zone to unlock the second. Completing stages earns points, and those points unlock rewards.

Doubled Pawns Matrix: Pilot

Zone 1: Stability Accords (A Boss-Rush Style Test)

In Stability Accords, you face powerful enemies that appear in sequence. This feels a lot like a boss rush: one threat after another, with no easy breaks.

A key rule here is team limits:

  • You may deploy up to 3 teams
  • Each team has 3 Resonators
  • What the previous team did carries over
  • The next team continues the fight while the damage already dealt stays effective

In other words, if Team 1 takes a boss down to half HP, Team 2 starts from there. If the game can rotate bosses here, it could stay fresh for a long time. Even if this phase starts with a limited set of enemies, future phases could swap in different bosses and make each cycle feel new.

Zone 2: Singularity Expansion (Endless Rounds and “Roguelike” Energy)

Singularity Expansion is where things get really interesting.

  • You will face powerful enemies in sequence (again)
  • There is no limit to how many teams you can deploy
  • Each team still has 3 Resonators
  • Progress carries over and damage remains effective
  • Defeating all enemies in a round opens the next round
  • There is no limit to the number of rounds
  • As you advance, enemies have higher HP, but more powerful buffs will be unlocked

It’s exactly a roguelike and it has that same feeling of “How far can I go?” with scaling difficulty and stronger boosts over time.

If you love challenge runs, this structure is a big deal: it creates an endless ladder where improvement comes from better planning, deeper rosters, and smarter buff choices.

The Systems That Shape the Mode

Power Circuits (Choose Your Buffs)

Power Circuits

Before starting the challenge, you can select Power Circuits to gain buffs in combat. This adds strategy: you’re not just bringing strong characters—you’re also choosing a plan.

Resonator Enhancements (Special Skill Buffs)

Resonator Enhancements

In this mode, certain Resonators receive special skill enhancements.

This might be a testing ground for improving older limited characters over time. If true, it could help keep older units relevant and make reruns more appealing. Even if that doesn’t happen, having rotating “featured buffs” can still encourage us to try different characters.

Vigor (A Roster-Depth Check)

Vigor

Every time a Resonator participates in a challenge, they consume 1 point of Vigor. If a Resonator has 0 Vigor, they can’t be deployed.

Important detail: Vigor is tracked separately for Stability Accords and Singularity Expansion.

This rule clearly pushes players to build more than one team. You can’t rely on the same three characters forever—you need a deeper roster.

Demo Resonators (Friendly to Un-built Resonators)

Demo Resonators

This is one of the most player-friendly features.

If you own a character, you can use a Demo Resonator version in this mode:

  • Set to Level 90
  • Equipped with a Level 90 weapon
  • Uses a correct Echo set
  • Inherits your Resonance Chain (your account’s progression)

That means you don’t have to fully build every character just to participate. You can fill gaps in your teams and also test how a character feels in a high-level environment.

This one of the best parts of the whole mode, because it reduces the “I own them but they’re unbuilt” problem and encourages experimentation.

Conclusion

That’s all current info about Doubled Pawns Matrix: Pilot. It would be real endgame content that returns and stays challenging.
