If some characters feel like they're just fighting, Lucilla feels more like she's 'shooting a movie.' Focus, freeze frame, reminiscence, editing, letting go… her entire kit revolves around 'photography' and 'recording.' Not only is her performance highly stylized, but her actual gameplay rhythm is completely different from most current characters.

What's even more extreme is that Lucilla also has a 'dual-mode' playstyle. This guide will quickly walk you through Lucilla's skill logic, mode differences, Echo loadout recommendations, and whether she's worth pulling for — let's see if this 'Principal' is worth your pulls

Lucilla Overview

Lucilla

Rarity: 5-star | Element: Glacio | Weapon: Rectifier

Lucilla is a dual-mode Glacio Rectifier character.

In Resonance Mode · Glacio Chafe, she's all about that frosty team support and cranking up Glacio Chafe DMG. She helps her teammates slap on Glacio Chafe more often, and her Outro Skill makes those stacks hit way harder. Basically, she's the missing puzzle piece for current ice teams.

Then there's Resonance Mode · Echo — and oh boy, this is a whole different vibe. Not only does she boost the team's Echo Skill DMG, but her first three casts of Oblivion count as different-named Echo Skills. That makes her one of the most perfect fits for Echo-centric teams right now.

Compared to another Echo support, Qiuyuan? Honestly, their overall support capabilities aren't that far apart. But here's the fun part: Qiuyuan at S0 tends to get his Resonance Circuit interrupted a lot. Lucilla, on the other hand? Her core nuke skill Letting It Go has interrupt immunity. So her on-field feel is way smoother — less rage, more style.

Of course, Lucilla's Concerto rotation is a teensy bit slower than Qiuyuan's. So hey — different flavors for different players. Both have their moments to shine.

Lucilla Skill Priority

For Lucillas skill upgrades, prioritize unlocking the Inherent Skills – Slow Motion and Remembrance first. The recommended order is:

Resonance Liberation > Forte Circuit > Resonance Skill > Basic Attack > Intro Skill

Lucilla's overall skill rhythm is very much like filming a video. Whether it's her Basic Attack or Resonance Skill, both require judgment via the Focus Ring—the operation method is somewhat similar to Sanhua's Heavy Attack mechanic. When released at the perfect timing, it triggers higher multipliers and recovers more resources.

Her Resonance Liberation, Clear As Day. Upon activation, she enters a special Reminiscence state, where her Basic Attack, Dodge Counter, and Mid-air Attack are all replaced with new skills. In particular, holding during the third segment to perform Letting It Go—not only is the performance incredibly cool, but it is also Lucilla's most critical source of burst damage at present.

Depending on the active mode, Letting It Go is even considered as different damage types:

  • In Glacio Chafe Mode, it counts as Basic Attack DMG;
  • In Echo Mode, it transforms into Echo Skill DMG.

This gives Lucilla tremendous flexibility in both build direction and team composition.

The photography-loving principal also has Quick Glance, bringing convenience and fun to overworld exploration. Briefly pressing the aim button enters camera mode, marking Reverberations, environmental collectibles, and certain collectible items within the camera's field of view. When the shutter is pressed, she captures the memorable moment and collects the marked contents.

ATK: 588 CRIT: 24.3%

Increases ATK by 12%. After the wielder inflicts Glacio Chafe on the target, their Glacio DMG Bonus is increased by 30% for 12s. The ATK of all Resonators in the team is increased by 24% ATK for 30s. Effects of the same name cannot be stacked.

Lucilla's signature weapon provides her with Glacio DMG Bonus and team-wide ATK. Overall, it's a pretty solid weapon. It requires applying Glacio Chafe to activate its effects — something Lucilla herself can do very easily, but other characters do not have this capability.

Yinlin's signature weapon, Stringmaster, remains the best alternative. Both standard 5-star weapons that provide Basic Attack DMG Bonus are worth considering. Among 4-star weapons, the recommended choice is the Battle Pass weapon Augment (Qingyin) for its Crit Rate boost.

In Glacio Mode, Lucilla uses the same Snowfall set as Hiyuki. For the main Echo (Cost 4), choose Glommoth to provide Hiyuki with Glacio DMG Bonus. In this mode, Lucilla's own damage type is primarily Basic Attack DMG, so you can increase the priority of Basic Attack DMG Bonus when rolling substats.

In Echo Mode, Lucilla uses the Moonlit Clouds set. For the main Echo, choose Impermanence Heron to maximize the main DPS's damage.

The alternative options both have significant limitations and are only recommended as temporary transitional setups.

This is currently the final form of the Hiyuki Glacio team. Lore-wise, Hiyuki is also closest to the Principal (Lucilla), and with Chisa — Hiyuki's fellow townsman — this team forms the strongest Ice team available at present.

Lucilla can provide multiple Echo Skill casts and buffing capabilities close to Qiuyuan's. She can be paired with existing Echo-based main DPS characters to form a powerful team.

Verina

Shorekeeper / Verina

Lucilla's personal damage output is not outstanding. It's recommended to consider a main DPS playstyle only after S3. In Echo Mode, Qiuyuan is recommended as a support; in Glacio Mode, Sanhua is recommended as a support.

Conclusion

Dual modes, Focus Ring, Photo resources, Reminiscence state, Letting It Go burst... Her entire playstyle isn't just packed with cinematic flair — it also delivers a very distinct sense of rhythm when you actually control her. Especially once you get familiar with the Focus Ring timing, Lucilla's overall feel is actually much smoother than you might expect.

Whether you use her as a Glacio team support, the core of an Echo-based team, or a main DPS at high sequences, she almost always finds her place.

Hope this guide helps all you Rovers quickly understand Lucilla's playstyle and role — and may you all successfully bring this most film-director-like Principal home!
