Qiuyuan Overview

Rarity: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐|Element: Aero|Weapon:Sword
Qiuyuan is a 5-star Aero character wielding a Sword, perfectly matching his "The lone wayfaring swordsman" designation. While he's designed like the most badass swordsman that should do a bunch of damage, but yep, he's actuallt a support / sub-DPS. He excels at applying pressure through rapid normal attacks and stacking Resonance.
Qiuyuan Kit Breakdown
He’s basically a sub-DPS and echo damage amplifier rolled into one, designed to boost your Echo Skill characters like Galbrena to absurd levels while having super short field time.
Qiuyuan's kit revolves around stacking Forte points, when you hit 400 or more, and boom, Bamboo's Shade activates, giving you whole team a 30% Echo Skill Damage buff for 30 seconds. Pair that with his Outro Skill, which buffs the next unit’s Echo Skill Damage by 50%, and he’s instantly one of the best supports for Galbrena. Oh, and if you hit 65% Crit Rate, his Liberation adds another 30% Crit Damage to the whole team. That’s huge.
He also has some self-buffs, 50% more Heavy Attack damage and 10% ATK. But don’t expect him to melt bosses solo. He’s not meant to be your main DPS unless you’re running crazy dupes. What’s cool though, is his parry mechanic on his skill, time it right and you can straight-up style on bosses. Or hold it to dash forward on bamboo like a straight-up anime protagonist.
Qiuyuan Rotation
Let's talk about Qiuyuan's rotation now, actually, it's quite simple once you get the flow. Most of the time, you’ll just intro him onto the field, hit a couple of basic attacks, and boom, his Forte bar’s already full. That’s how easy he is to pilot.
|
Intro + Echo → Basic 3-4 → Liberation → Heavy Attack 1-3 (Forte) → Resonance Skill (For energy) → Outro |
If you’re running him as a support, that’s it — short, clean, efficient. First, intro him onto the field and use his echo. Follow up his intro with enhanced basic attack 3 and 4, which will fill up his forte. Then, use his Liberation. Now spend your forte by performing his Heavy Attack 1 to 3.
That’s the core. Optionally, if you want a bit more energy, throw in his Resonance Skill right before you swap him out. He’s a little energy-hungry at times, so that extra skill helps stabilize rotations.
One small note — sometimes his Forte Heavy 3 can fail to trigger if you don’t time it cleanly. I found that holding forward before it starts helps make it more consistent. Might just be a skill issue, but hey, worth keeping in mind.
But if you’re going for Main DPS Qiuyuan, especially at Sequence 3, the rotation extends a bit.
You’ll chain his Heavy Attack 1, cancel into Basic 4, then dash-cancel into another Enhanced Basic 3 and 4 to quickly refill Forte — letting you fire off a second Heavy Attack sequence. That’s where his damage really spikes.

This information outlines potential team compositions at this stage. However, it is undeniable that Qiuyuan and Galbrena are strategically linked. The earlier Qiuyuan–Phrolova combo has lost viability after the V2 changes. Qiuyuan’s C3 average damage surpasses 300% of his C0 performance, giving him strong main DPS potential. When paired with Iuno, the duo delivers exceptional synergy and team performance.
Conclusion
That concludes the current Qiuyuan Build Guide. Based on the latest information, Qiuyuan appears to lean more towards a Sub-DPS role.
