Hi, Rovers! Star Bouncing is one of the big anniversary events in Wuthering Waves 3.3, and it is not your usual combat event.
This time, your Resonators become little bouncing pinballs. You launch them around the arena, rush into enemies, trigger skills, upgrade their levels, equip Tactical ROMs, and try to clear every stage with as many stars as possible.
The event is permanent, but the limited-time rewards are not. The limited-time reward track ends on June 7, so don’t leave this one sitting in your event menu for too long.

Core Gameplay
Star Bouncing uses Persona Pinballs. Each Persona Pinball has its own class, skills, level, and Tactical ROM type.

Each Persona Pinball has three skills:
|
Skill |
Effect |
|
Leader Skill |
Only works when the Persona Pinball is in Slot No.1 |
|
Active Skill |
Can be used when energy is full |
|
Passive Skill |
Automatically works when the Persona Pinball joins the team |
Only one Leader Skill can be active. Put your main Leader Skill unit in Slot No.1.
Best Team Setup
The safest team structure is:
Attacker + DMG Buffer + Healer / Shielder
That gives you enough damage to clear fast, while still giving you room to survive harder stages.
A strong early setup is:
|
Slot |
Persona Pinball |
Role |
|
No.1 |
Jinhsi |
Main Attacker |
|
No.2 |
Qiuyuan |
Damage Buffer |
|
No.3 |
Zhezhi |
Sustain / Healing Slot |
Jinhsi should be your first upgrade target. She is your main damage source, so every level and Tactical ROM upgrade on her matters more than spreading resources across random units early.
Qiuyuan helps push your damage higher, while Zhezhi keeps the run safer. This kind of setup is especially useful once you start pushing Endless Galaxy tracks.
Upgrade Priority
Persona Pinballs can be raised with EXP Chips, but don’t level everyone at the start.
Upgrade in this order:
1. Main Attacker
2. Main Attacker’s Tactical ROM
3. Damage Buffer
4. Healer or Shielder
5. Extra Persona Pinballs for reward missions
EXP Chips come from clearing stages. Spend them on your main damage dealer first, then build the rest of your core team.
Tactical ROM Guide

Tactical ROMs are event weapons. Each Persona Pinball has a matching Tactical ROM type.
|
Persona Pinball |
Tactical ROM Type |
|
Jinhsi |
Light Dagger |
|
Qiuyuan |
Star Sword |
|
Zhezhi |
Aura Staff |
You can get Tactical ROMs from stage rewards or buy them in the event shop with Stardock Vouchers.
Higher stages unlock better shop items, including S-Class Tactical ROMs. If your damage feels low, check whether your attacker has the right Tactical ROM equipped.
Endless Galaxy Tips
Endless Galaxy has 15 tracks. Later tracks hit much harder than normal stages.
The key milestones are Track 2, Track 6, Track 10, and Track 15, with extra 3-star goals for Track 2, 6, 10, and 12.
For Endless Galaxy, use a safer team:
Jinhsi + Qiuyuan + Zhezhi
If you keep dying, don’t force triple damage. Upgrade your attacker, equip a better Tactical ROM, and keep your sustain unit.
Battle Tips
Use Rush whenever the angle is good. It helps your Persona Pinball approach the nearest enemy and keeps your damage active.
Use Active Skills only when your Persona Pinball is close to the enemy. Don’t press all skills at once, or you’ll waste damage while your pinballs are bouncing away from the boss.
Best rhythm:
Launch → build hits → Rush → wait for close range → use Active Skill
Simple timing matters more than button mashing.
Fast Clear Route
Clear the early normal stages first and put your EXP Chips into your main attacker.
Then equip the best matching Tactical ROM you have. For Jinhsi, use a strong Light Dagger.
After that, raise your buffer and healer. Once all stages unlock after May 4, clear the remaining normal stages, collect stars, and push Endless Galaxy.
After your main team is stable, start leveling extra Persona Pinballs for the Lv.20, Lv.30, and Lv.35 reward missions.
Final Thoughts
Build one strong attacker first, match the correct Tactical ROM, use Rush whenever the angle is good, and save Active Skills for moments when your Persona Pinball is close to the target.
Normal stages are mostly about damage, while Endless Galaxy also needs survival. Clear the limited-time reward track before June 7, grab your 1,200 Astrite.
And if those Astrites are going straight into your next banner plans, LDShop can help you top up Wuthering Waves Lunites quickly and securely when your stash starts running low.
