The 2.8 update has landed, and with it comes a massive new event: Stranger Things in Honami. If you’ve been looking to stock up on resources, pay attention that this is one of the most generous events we've seen in a while, dropping a massive 1,200 Astrites.
The premise is simple but engaging. Following the looping crisis in Honami City, things have calmed down... mostly. Namipon from the Shashou Cafe needs your help investigating lingering anomalies and, more importantly, gathering supplies to renovate the cafe.
Here is everything you need to know to maximize your rewards and breeze through the content.

The Gameplay Loop: Extract or Lose It All
If you’ve played "extraction shooter" games, you’ll feel right at home here. If not, the concept is straightforward: High Risk, High Reward.
You enter the overgrown Chronorift Metropolis to scavenge for supplies. Your goal is to find loot and bring it back to the Shashou Cafe to sell. However, there is a catch.
- Watch Your Stability

You don't just have HP; you have Stability. Every time you are attacked by Tacet Discords, your Stability drops. If Stability hits 0, the exploration terminates immediately, and you lose all items in your Storage Bag.
So, you must locate a Telephone Booth to book the Namipon Shuttle. This is your "Safe Extraction" point. Always extract when your bag is full or health is low. Do not get greedy!

- The Shashou Cafe & Rice Dangos
The loot you drag back to the cafe isn't for keeping, it's for selling. You sell your haul for a currency called Rice Dangos.
Cafe Decor: Use Rice Dangos to upgrade the cafe. This isn't just cosmetic; upgrading Decor unlocks passive buffs for your Resonators during exploration.
Supply Station: You can also buy upgrades for your inventory slots and badges here.
Combat Guide: Namipons and Stickers
Your stats in this event are heavily influenced by a new system: Namipon Stickers.
The Sticker System
As you defeat enemies, break objects, or open Supply Chests, you will drop Stickers.
- Buffs: Stickers provide raw stat enhancements.
- Sets: Different Namipons are attuned to specific Sticker sets. Equipping a matching set activates powerful special effects.
- Don't Overthink It: If you aren't into min-maxing, the game has an Auto-Equip feature. It generally does a good job of picking the best stats for your current build.

Namipon Support
You aren't fighting alone. You can select different Namipons to accompany you. They act as active support skills, offering healing, debuffs, or raw damage. As you progress, you will unlock more Namipon types, allowing for different playstyles.
Strategy & Walkthrough Tips
While the event can feel a bit long, it isn't difficult if you prioritize the right upgrades. Here is the most efficient way to clear it.
Recommended Team Comp
You can use whoever you are comfortable with, but a team that balances speed and sustain works best.
Suggested Setup: Cartethyia + Chisa + Shorekeeper. This trio clears mobs quickly and keeps your survivability high so you don't stress about Stability loss.

The "Speedrun" Strategy
- Enter the Zone: Focus on the main objective displayed on the left side of the screen (defeating a Boss).
- Loot Smart: Don't fill your bag with junk. Prioritize High-Value Stickers and expensive supplies. If your bag is full, swap out cheap items for expensive ones.
- Kill the Boss: Bosses drop the best stickers and loot.
- Extract Immediately: Once the boss is down and your bag has the good stuff, run to the nearest Telephone Booth and hit "Extract Now." Do not wander around aimlessly risk losing your Stability.
What to Upgrade First
Don't hoard your Rice Dangos. Spend them immediately to make the next run faster.
Table Decor: Consume Rice Dangos to upgrade these steadily to keep your passive buffs scaling with the difficulty.

Warehouse / Storage Bag: You can't make money if you can't carry loot. Maxing out your storage allows for fewer runs with higher payouts.
Is it hard?
Not really. The consensus is that the event is relatively easy but grindy. The enemies aren't mechanically complex, but you do need to farm Stickers to get your stats up. As long as you keep upgrading your cafe and skills, you will snowball through the content.
Conclusion
Stranger Things in Honami is a surprisingly enjoyable mix of action, scavenging, and progression. With excellent rewards, including a very generous 1,200 Astrite, it’s absolutely worth playing through the full upgrade cycle. Explore, loot, extract, upgrade, repeat...... Enjoy the hunt, Rover.
