The Tower of Adversity has been updated with a significant new challenge: the addition of Floors 3 and 4 to the Hazard Tower. This expansion means the demands on your character roster (box) are now stricter than before. Where players could previously manage with a minimum of two and a half well-built teams, successfully clearing all floors now requires at least three and a half solid teams.
Today LDshop will start our analysis with the Resonant Tower, followed by the Hazard Tower and Echoing Tower, breaking down the environmental buffs, enemy lineups and optimal team recommendations for each.
What we cover:
Resonant Tower (Left)
Environmental Effects:
- Enemy Spectro RES decreases by 10%.
- Heavy Attack DMG Bonus is increased by 20%. Hitting a target with Intro Skill applies 2 stacks of Spectro Frazzle. This effect can be triggered once per second. Spectro Frazzle DMG is Amplified by 100%.
This setup strongly favors Spectro teams. The most popular and effective compositions are built around Zani & Phoebe or Phoebe-based Spectro teams. With either, this tower becomes straightforward.
Enemy Layout (Floor 4, skip Floor 1-3):

Fractsidus Executioner |

Avoid Havoc attribute teams—both enemy types have high Havoc RES.
If no Spectro team is available, use Jinhsi (benefits from the Spectro RES debuff) or other non-Havoc teams like Electro, Glacio, or Fusion team.

Hazard Tower (Middle)
This tower uses different buffs every two floors. We break it down accordingly.
Floors 1 & 2 Environmental Effects:
- Enemies' Havoc RES and Aero RES are reduced by 10%.
- Enemies' Glacio RES and Spectro RES are increased by 10%.
- Casting Resonance Liberation causes a blast that deals Aero DMG equal to 120% of the casters' Max HP, triggered once every 5s. Targets with Aero Erosion have their DEF reduced by 30%.

Team Strategy:
Due to the increased Glacio and Spectro RES, it is not recommended to use Glacio or Spectro teams on their corresponding resistant floors. However, if you must use them, a viable strategy is to use them on the opposite floor: use your Glacio team on Floor 1 and your Spectro team on Floor 2. This works because each floor's enemies do not have inherent resistance to the other element, allowing you to bypass the environmental resistance penalty. The main drawback is that you will not benefit from the 10% RES decrease that other teams enjoy, which may slightly prolong your clear time.
This environment heavily promotes Wind Erosion teams, though Havoc teams also work well due to the RES reduction. However, they miss out on the 30% DEF shred from the Erosion effect.
Floors 3 & 4 Environmental Effects:
- 60s after the battle starts, Resonators' total DMG is increased by 5%. After that, their total DMG is increased by 5% every 5s, up to 60%.
- Gain 30% Heavy Attack DMG Bonus. Casting Resonance Liberation grants a Shieldof 3,000 HP to Resonators, triggered once every 4s. Shielded Resonators take 10% less DMG and their total DMG is increased by 16% for 6s, stacking up to 3 times. Retriggering the effect resets its duration.
- Enemies take 10% less DMG. This effect is ignored when Resonators are Shielded.
This benefits teams that can frequently trigger Shields and Heavy Attacks, especially Augusta (Electro Conductive). Other teams can still clear but may not maximize the buffs.

Echoing Tower (Right)
Environmental Effects:
- Enemy Electro RES decreases by 10%.
- When Resonators cast Intro Skills, their ATK is increased by 20% for 15s. When Resonators cast Resonance Skills, their Resonance Liberation DMG is increased by 30% for 5s. Retriggering these effects resets their duration.
This is a tailored environment for Electro teams that rely on Liberation damage, especially Xiangli Yao. The final boss is Feilian Beringal, which has high Aero RES, so avoid using Aero teams here.

Conclusion
In summary, the expanded Hazard Tower demands greater roster depth, requiring at least three optimized teams to conquer all floors. Strategic team selection remains crucial—leveraging environmental buffs while avoiding enemy resistances is key to efficient clears. While meta compositions like Spectro, Aero, and Electro teams excel, creative alternatives can still succeed with proper planning.
