Seed Overview

Rarity: S-Rank | Specialty: Attack | Attribute: Electric

Seed, is an upcoming playable S-Electric Attack Type character in Zenless Zone Zero 2.2 Phase 1, and the artillerist of the Obol Squad.

Seed's high burst damage and simple operation significantly reduce the difficulty of early-game progression, making it a must-have for Proxies lacking an Electric main DPS! At the future banner, Seed could also serve as sub-DPS with her valuable buffs. 

Seed's Core Skill enables "dual-DPS synergy," allowing it to coordinate effectively with Orphie from the second-half banner for collaborative damage output.

Seed Mechanics

• Dual Attack Agents mechanic

The Attack character will be considered as Seed's Vanguard. After Seed or Vanguard cast their EX Special Attack, Seed gains Onslaught status and Vanguard gains Direct Strike status. Both of them increase ATK and CRIT DMG for each other. When both buffs are active at the same time, an additional DMG boost kicks in.

Seed's Additional Ability allows her and her Vanguard optimize their rotations. 

• Charged Punk Attack 

All attacks of Seed accumulate Steel Charge. After the 4th hit of Basic Attack, Dodge Counter, Quick Assist, or Assist Follow-Up, or stacking enough Steel Charge, the mech will cast a Charged punk attack that deals massive Electric DMG. When using the EX Special Attack, Seed enters flight mode and after consuming 60 Energy, automatically trigger the charged punk attack.

• Unique Combat Style

Seed deals normal basic attack and mech deals charged attack, you can switch the human and machine at any moment by using Basic Attack, Chain Attack, or Special Attack.

Sprouting Core

Increases CRIT Rate by 15%/17%/19%/21%/23%. When the equipper deals DMG with a Basic Attack or EX Special Attack, they gain 1 stack of a buff. Each stack increases the equipper's Electric DMG by 12.5%/14.5%/16.5%/18.5%/20%, up to 2 stacks. Each stack lasts 40s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. Can trigger once per use of a skill. At 2 stacks, the wearer's Basic Attack and Ultimate DMG ignore 20%/23%/26%/29%/32% of enemy DEF.

Severed Innocence (95% of Signature W-Engines) Base ATK: 713 | CRIT DMG: 48%

R1 Effect: CRIT DMG is increased by 30%. When the equipper lands a hit with a Basic Attack, Special Attack, or Aftershock, they gain 1 stack of a buff. Each stack increases the equipper's CRIT DMG by an additional 10%, stacking up to 3 times. The effect lasts for 30s, with each stack's duration calculated separately, and can only be triggered once per use of a skill. With all 3 stacks, the equipper's Electric DMG increases by 20%.

Zanshin Herb Case (92% of Signature W-Engine) Base ATK: 718 | CRIT DMG: 48%

R1 Effect: CRIT Rate increases by 10%. Dash Attack Electric DMG increases by 40%. When any squad member applies an Attribute Anomaly or Stuns an enemy, the equipper's CRIT Rate increases by an additional 10% for 15s.

The Brimstone (85% of Signature W-Engine) Base ATK: 684 | ATK: 30%

R1 Effect: Upon hitting an enemy with a Basic Attack, Dash Attack, or Dodge Counter, the equipper's ATK increases by 3.5% for 8s, stacking up to 8 times. This effect can trigger once every 0.5s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.

A-Rank

Drill Rig - Red Axis (91% of Signature) Base ATK: 624| Energy: 20%

R5 Effect: When launching an EX Special Attack r Chain Attack, Electric DMG from Basic Attacks and Dash Attacks increases by 80% for 10s. This effect can trigger once every 15s.

Cannon Rotor (84% of Signature) Base ATK: 594 | CRIT Rate: 20%

R5 Effect: Increases ATK by 12%. Landing a critical hit on an enemy will inflict an additional 200% of ATK as DMG. This effect can trigger once every 8s.

 

Seed Drive Discs

Seed's Normal Attacks contribute a significant portion of her damage. Therefore, the 4-piece set of her signature Drive Disc set from version 2.2 is highly recommended.

Dawn's Bloom 2-piece set: Increases Basic Attack DMG by 15%. 4-piece Set: Increases [Basic Attack] DMG by 20%. When equipped by an [Attack-type character], using [EX Special Attack] or [Ultimate] will further increase [Basic Attack] DMG by 20% for 25 seconds; repeated triggers reset the duration.

Alternative Drive Disc

Woodpecker Electric 2-piece set: CRIT Rate +8% 4-piece set: Landing a critical hit on an enemy with a Basic Attack, Dodge Counter, or EX Special Attack increases the equipper's ATK by 9% for 6s. The buff duration for different skills are calculated separately.

Seed Best Teams and Bangboo

As we mentioned above, Seed's kit is perfectly for Dual DPS rotation playstyle. After Seed or Vanguard cast their EX Special Attack, increases ATK and CRIT DMG for each other. When both buffs are active at the same time, an additional DMG boost kicks in.

Therefore, it is best to pair Seed with another Attack Agent who unleash EX Special Attack frequently. Seed team copms are built around: Seed + a powerful Attack agent + a support.

Seed Mindscape vs. Signature W-Engine

Sinature W-Engine

Increase 39% CRIT Rate, 25% Electric DMG, and 20% enemy DEF ignorance. That's nice boost for Seed and make it easier to reach the recommended endgame stats.

M1: Hibernation Period

KEY Mindscape for Seed. Enhance her Skill rotation by reducing the Enhanced Basic Attack's Steel Charge needs and Regenerating Energy when Seed entering battles and using Ult. Additionally, it provides 30% CRIT DMG boost that Seed lacks of. 

M2: Light Absorption

Ignore 20% DEF and change the casting mechanic of EX Special Attack. You can chosse to using 60 Energy or 120 and each 5 Energy will get a 5% DMG increase bonus, up to 120%. M2 increase Seed's flexibility and allows her to deal massive damage output advance.

M4: Aromatic Notes

NOT recommended, only increase 10% Decibel Generation Rate and 20% Ult DMG during Besiege status.

M6: Theory of Mind

Only recommend for Whales. Increase Seed's on-field damage output by increasing 50% CRIT DMG and unleashing 3 extra laser beams, each dealing 165% of ATK as DMG.

According to the above analysis, the pulling priority of Seed is M0S0 > M0S1 > M1S0 > M1S1 > M2S1 > M6S5 (For Whales that love Seed).
