Finding a good Aniimo best team early on does not mean filling all four slots with the strongest attackers you can catch. A balanced team usually feels much better because each Aniimo handles a different part of combat.
Your DPS units handle normal combat, the BREAK slot creates openings against tougher enemies, and a healer keeps everyone going without forcing you to constantly stop and recover.
Based on the Aniimo available early in the game, here are three practical teams that are easy to build and use.
If you are still deciding which early catches are worth building, our Aniimo Tier List gives you a quick overview of the strongest options to invest in first.
Best Overall Early Game Team
Helion/Lunara + Celestis + Pomegg + Flutternym
|
Helion /
Lunara |
Celestis |
Pomegg |
Flutternym |
|
Main DPS |
Ranged DPS |
BREAK |
Heal / Support |
This is the most balanced early-game team and the one we recommend starting with.
Your starter stays as the main source of damage, while Celestis gives you another straightforward DPS option from range. Celestis is especially beginner-friendly because its gameplay is simple: use Basic Attacks, spend EP on skills when available, then continue attacking.
Pomegg fills the BREAK role. Against tougher enemies, switch away from your DPS and let Pomegg pressure the Break gauge. Once the enemy enters a Broken state, swap back to your stronger damage dealer and use the opening to deal as much damage as possible.
Flutternym completes the team by providing healing without demanding much field time. It can restore HP from off field when teammates use skills or Ultimates, while its active abilities also provide healing, cleansing, and EP support.
The basic combat flow is:
DPS → Pomegg to BREAK → DPS during the Broken window → Flutternym when extra healing is needed
There is nothing complicated about the rotation, which is exactly why this team works so well while you are still learning Aniimo's combat system.
Best Exploration Team
Helion/Lunara + Emberpup + Pomegg + Flutternym
|
Helion /
Lunara |
Emberpup |
Pomegg |
Flutternym |
|
Main DPS |
Fire DPS / Exploration |
BREAK |
Heal / Support |
This team follows almost the same combat structure as the first one, but replaces Celestis with Emberpup.
The main reason to make that swap is exploration.
Emberpup gives you a Fire DPS that can also interact with environmental objects and puzzles that require Fire. Since these appear regularly while exploring, keeping Emberpup in your active team can save you from opening the menu and swapping Aniimo every time you need to burn something.
In combat, Emberpup works as your secondary damage dealer. You can still use your starter for most fights, bring Pomegg in when an enemy needs to be broken, and rely on Flutternym for sustain.
So the team keeps the same reliable loop:
Main DPS → Pomegg BREAK → DPS window
The difference is that your fourth combat slot now also solves a common exploration problem.
Choose this version if you spend a lot of time clearing the map, opening chests, and completing environmental puzzles. For pure combat, Celestis offers comfortable ranged damage, but Emberpup is usually more convenient for general open-world progression.
Alternative BREAK Team
Helion/Lunara + Celestis + Helmut + Flutternym
|
Helion /
Lunara |
Celestis |
Helmut |
Flutternym |
|
Main DPS |
Ranged DPS |
BREAK |
Heal / Support |
If you do not want to use Pomegg, Helmut gives you another early option for the BREAK slot.
The overall idea stays the same as the first team. Your starter and Celestis take care of normal damage, while Helmut comes in when you need to break an enemy's defenses and create a better damage window.
This means you do not need to rebuild the way you play the team just because you changed your BREAK Aniimo.
Use your DPS first, bring Helmut in against enemies that take longer to break, then return to your main attacker once the enemy becomes vulnerable.
Flutternym continues working in the background to keep the team healthy.
Compared with the Pomegg version, this team is less about changing the overall strategy and more about giving players another BREAK option. If you already caught a good Helmut or simply prefer using it, there is no reason to force Pomegg into the slot.
Why Flutternym Fits All Three Teams

Flutternym appears in every lineup for a good reason: it supports the team without interrupting your damage rotation.
Its off-field healing can trigger while your other Aniimo use skills or Ultimates, so you can keep your DPS or BREAK unit active while still recovering HP.
When the team needs more help, you can switch Flutternym in for stronger healing and cleansing. It can also support EP recovery, making it more than a simple emergency healer.
That flexibility makes Flutternym one of the easiest support Aniimo to fit into an early-game squad.
Final Thoughts
For the early game, the best Aniimo teams are the ones that give every member a clear job.
Helion/Lunara + Celestis + Pomegg + Flutternym is the strongest all-around starting point, while Emberpup provides more exploration utility and Helmut gives you another option for the BREAK slot.
You do not need to spend too much time chasing a perfect lineup right away.
As you unlock more Aniimo, you can gradually replace these early picks and build more specialized teams around the creatures you enjoy using.
