Honkai Star Rail version 3.3 is coming soon. In this update, we're going to get two new characters, Hyacine and Cipher. Along with them, we have reruns of fan favorites like The Herta and Aglaea.

How many pulls in HSR 3.3

Version 3.3 runs from May 21st to July 1st, lasting six weeks, offering a variety of rewards from dailies and new events. Here are the total pulls we can get.

• Free to Play: 12,230 Stellar Jade + 20 Special Pass ≈ 96 pulls (69 pulls in the first half + 27 pulls in the second half).
• Express Supply Pass: 16,010 Stellar Jade + 20 Special Pass ≈ 120 pulls (81 pulls in the first half + 39 pulls in the second half).
• ESP + Nameless Glory: 16,690 Stellar Jade + 24 Special Pass ≈ 128 pulls (89 pulls in the first half + 39 pulls in the second half).

Exclusive rewards we need to pay attention to:

• Gift of Odyssey: Claim for 10 Special Pass.
• Divergent Universe: Protean Hero: Contribute 660 Stellar Jade.
• Legend of the Galactic Baseballer: Reward 1420 Stellar Jade.
• New Map Exploration: Reward 2400 Stellar Jade.
• Trace ‘n’ Drift: Claim for 500 Stellar Jade.

First Half Banner Recommendations

New Character: Hyacine

Path: Remembrance Type: Wind

Pull Priority：Top Tier (HP Summon Sustain)

Core Mechanic: HP shield + Energy Regen for entire team, directly increases Castorice ceiling by 30%.

Hyacine is a highly specialized sustain character designed to synergize with HP-scaling DPS, especially Castorice. Her ability to heal the entire team via AOE healing and her ultimate that boost team's max HP offers substantial utility. Her main gimmick tied to Ica, the fastest Newbud generation for Castorice due to double heal and consume HP, as well as being the first sustain with a summon that further enhances Casotorice Skill HP Consumption.

Pull Recommendations：

• F2P Players: If you got Castorice in version 3.2, go for E0S0 Hyacine cause she is bascially a sustain character that made for Castorice. She is the best healer for HP scalers.
• Beginners: Hyacine can also pair well with super break team and dual DPS team as Huohuo. If you are starting and don's have Huohuo, Hyacine is a top tier pick.
• Resource-Limited Players: If you have already invested in other sustain characters like Lingsha or Huohuo, it may be better to skip Hyacine and focus on other banners or DPS.
• Whales: For max performance, especially if you are focused on Castorice, pulling for E1 or E2 can significantly boost her potential, with E2 giving major benefits to both healing and damage output.

Eidolons & Light Cone Analysis:

• E1: HP boost. Increases the HP for all allies by a pretty ridiculous 50% and every attack also heals the attacker by 8% of Hyacine's max HP.
• E2: Increases an ally speed by 30% whenever that ally loses HP, very strong in HP scaling team.
• Signature Light Cone: "Long May Rainbows Adorn the Sky" Huge SPD boost, extra HP Consumption that allows Ica to heal more, and extra DMG from Ica.

Rerun Character: The Herta

Path: Erudition Type: Ice

Pull priority: Recommended, especially for who lack team in Pure Fiction.

Core Mechanic: Inflicted enough "Interpretation" on the enemies to deal massive DMG.

The Herta is an Ice Erudition character introduced in version 3.0, stands out with her unique "Interpretation" stacking mechanic and high-frequency AoE damage, making her a top-tier crowd control DPS in modes like Pure Fiction and Memory of Chaos. Her versatility is extremely high, with E0S0 being sufficient for full effectiveness, and her exploration ability includes a chest-marking function, significantly enhancing the gaming experience.

Pull Recommendations:

• F2P Players: Prioritize Hyacine if you have teams that perform well in Pure Fiction and Memory of Chaos. Otherwise, pull for The Herta is a foolproof choice.
• Beginners: The Herta would be a better choice than Hyacine since she can help you get full score in Pure Fiction with ease.
• Whales: Go for E2S1, E2 significantly optimizes the cycle, while the Signature Light Cone provides Skill Point regeneration and Crit Rate bonuses.

Eidolons & Light Cone Analysis:

• E1: Increases the utilization of Enhanced Skill layers, compensating damage in single-target environments.
• E2: A game-changing node! After using the Ultimate, gain additional "Inspiration", advancing The Herta action by 35%, significantly boosting cycle efficiency.
• Signature Light Cone: "Into the Unreachable Veil" 12% Crit Rate + 60% damage increase for Skills/Ultimate, Ultimate restores Skill Points, perfectly suited for high-frequency output cycles.

The Herta is a top-tier AoE attacker, offering both strong stats and mechanical advantages. She can significantly improve the gaming experience even at E0S0. If you want to optimize performance in Pure Fiction and multi-target environments, pulling for her is highly recommended!

 

Second Half Banner Recommendations

New Character: Cipher

Path: Nihility Type: Quantum

Pull Priority: Pullable (Nihility Sub-DPS)

Cipher is a supportive debuffer with high true damage potential. Firstly, Cipher's talent inflicts a special state on the enemy with the highest HP. When allies deal damage to that enemy, Cipher records the damage dealt as her charges right here. Then, she also perform a follow-up attack on the same enemy. It's shown to land a defense reduction debuff, but this could be from a code as well.

Pull Recommendations:

• F2P Players: Skip unless you main Acheron or Feixiao. Cipher's niche requires specific team setups.
• Beginners: Low priority. Focus on securing a primary DPS first.
• Resource-Limited Players: Save for 3.4 Phainon (Physical DPS) or 3.5 Cerydra (Follow-up enabler). Only pull Cipher if investing in long-term follow-up teams.
• Whales: E1S1 is viable for debuff-centric comps. E2 unlocks True Damage team healing reduction.

Eidolons & Light Cone Analysis:

• E1: Massively boosts her personal DPS by scaling up her recorded damage. Instead of the standard 100%, her follow-up now records 150% of the original damage dealt.
• E2: Critical upgrade! Whenever Cipher hits an enemy, there's 120% base chance to apply a debuff that causes that enemy to take 30% more damage for two turns.
• Signature Light Cone: "Lies Dance on the Breeze" Boost Cipher's SPD and DEF reduction.

Cipher do have future potential, for optimal team builds, explore Cipher + Acheron + Cerydra + Sustain setups to dominate future follow-up metas! But it is recommended to save Stellar Jade for 3.4 Phainon.

 

Rerun Character: Aglaea

Path: Remembrance Type: Lighting

Pull Priority: Consider pulling if you lack of DPS.

Aglaea is also one of the strongest damage dealers, ranking quite on any tier list for any game mode. The only mode she struggles more in compared to the hera would be the current pure fiction, but you can still 100% clear all of it. The two problems you might want to consider would be that Aglaea is quite tough to build where she needs high speed, high crit rate, and high crit damage.

Pull Recommendation:

E1 Aglaea can use her ultimate with no problem. However, in the end though, there is no need to force yourself to go for Aglaea. If say you already beat everything with Castorice, Mydei or any top tier damage dealers with their good teams, you don't have to spread yourself even thinner trying to get an Aglaea team ready. It is best to store your Stellar Jade for Phainon and Fate Collab rather than Aglaea.
