Should I Pull Evernight's Light Cone?

Hello, Trailblazers! Honkai Star Rail version 3.6 has finally debuted. Alongside the patch, Evernight, the newest Remembrance unit, became available to all players. As a sub DPS character, Evernight has access to a decent amount of good Light cones.

After acquiring a copy of the character, Trailblazers can roll for more copies to boost her efficiency on the battlefield or get her Light Cone instead. Since most players don’t have a considerable surplus of Special Passes, they might wonder whether they should get her Eidolon or Light Cone.

Today, LDShop will navigate Evernight’s signature Light Cone and to make breakdown on her E1 when it is worth to pull.

Signature Light Cone: To Evernight’s Stars

HP: 1164

ATK: 529

DEF: 463

  • Increase the wearer’s Max HP by 30%/37.5%/45%/52.5%/60%.
  • When the wearer’s Memosprite uses an ability, the wearer gains “Noctis”.
  • When the wearer has “Noctis”, all allies Memosprites ignore 20%/22.5%/27.5%/30% of the target’s DEF when dealing DMG.
  • Increase the DMG dealt by the wearer and their Memosprite by 30%/37.5%/45%/52.5%/60%.
  • When the wearer’s Memosprite disappears, the wearer recovers 8/10/12/14/16 Energy. Similar effects cannot stack.

Reasons for pulling:

  • For Evernight, it is more effective to prioritize Light Cones that enhance her Max HP and CRIT DMG, rather than CRIT rate, since her first bonus ability already provides a 35% increase to CRIT rate.
  • The main reason to pull for To Evernight’s Starts is that Evernight doesn’t have any solid free-to-play or cheap Light Cone alternatives. Most of the usable options are either other 5-star signature cones or locked behind paywalls.
  • If you have Castorice’s signature Light Cone (Make Farewells More Beautiful), it works well on Evernight too.
  • If you use Evernight alongside Castorice, then summon Netherwing-Pollux will create a field which decreases all enemies’ All-Type RES by 20%.
  • If don’t have Castorice’s Light Cones or plan to run Castorice alongside Evernight, pulling a Light Cone for her can be tricky. In this case, you can look at cheaper options like Sweat Now, Cry Less. Just keep in mind that it is a battle pass Light Cone.

  • There is also Memory Curtain Never Falls (can be bought from Herta’s Shop for 8 Herta Bonds in the Simulated Universe), but you will most likely keep that on your Remembrance Trailblazer.
  • If you run Evernight with Hyacine, using Hyacine’s Ultimate will summon Little Ica who will consume their own HP to heal other units whenever allies take damage.
  • So, if you do not have a battle pass or Castorice’s signature cones, Evernight’s own Light Cone becomes even more valuable.

Evernight’s E1: Sleep Tight, the Night Dreams Long

Evernight’s E1: Sleep Tight, the Night Dreams Long

  • Even if you get Evernights’ E1, she won’t outperform simply having her signature Light Cone equipped. Her E1’s effect is situational and only shines in certain activities.
  • Therefore, if you are willing to spend extra Stellar Jade or Special Passes, it’s usually better to pull her signature Light Cone in version 3.6.
  • On the other hand, her E1 gives a notable damage boost to the Memosprites on your team.
  • Evernight’s skill will summon Evey, her Memosprite. Evernight will also gain Memoria stacks through her skill, which increase the damage dealt by Evey.
  • When E1 Evernight is on the field, Memosprites deal more damage depending on the number of enemies: 120% vs 4+, 125% vs 3, 130% vs 2 and 150% vs 1 enemy. For example, in a single-target fight, Memosprites hit for 1.5x their normal damage.
  • Even in the worst case, they still deal 120% of their normal damage. The fewer the enemies, the stronger the buff—and characters like Castorice, Hyacine and any further Remembrance characters benefit from this.

Comparison of Evernight’s E0S1 and E1S0

We’ve covered what her signature Light Cone does and what her E1 adds, let’s compare the two setups: signature Light Cone with no Eidolon and E1 with no signature Light Cone.

E0S1

Team Synergy:

  • Castorice: Running with her signature Light Cone.
  • Evernight: Equipped with her signature. Trailblazer is holding Memory Curtain Falls.
  • Hyacine: Having her signature Light Cone as well and using skill rotation plus Ultimate to trigger little Ica’s attacks and the After Rain buff, boosting team damage.
  • With Evernight’s signature Light Cone, allied Memosprites can ignore 20% of enemy DEF, which Netherwing can also benefit from.

Performance:

  • Showed consistent energy regen, DEF ignore, and solid damage buffs.
  • Worked well with team setups using Castorice and Hyacine, allowing for reliable zero-cycle clears.
  • It is best for consistency, utility, and team synergy. It is stronger in all-around performance across different game modes.

E1S0

Team Synergy:

  • With Evernight’s E1 active, Castorice team’s damage will be increased significantly, with guaranteed Memosprites.
  • Hyacine’s Ultimate adds more buffs, and Castorice can freely chain her Skill and Ultimate.
  • Evernight’s E1 is her most impactful Eidolon, boosting the team’s Memosprite damage by up to 50%, with even higher gains when fewer enemies remain.

Performance:

  • Demonstrated massive spike damage (over 1M+ damage), especially in single-target battles.
  • Offered team-wide buffs to all Memosprites, not just Evernight’s own.
  • It is best for burst DPS, especially single-target boss fights. It is great if you already have other Light Cone options.

Conclusion

In summary, both E0S1 and E1S0 significantly enhance Evernight’s performance but in distinct ways. The signature Light Cone at S1 provides a consistent balance of survivability, damage amplification, DEF penetration, and energy regeneration, making it the more versatile option across all modes of play.

By contrast, E1 without the Light Cone delivers an explosive single-target damage boost through the Memosprite multiplier, excelling in boss-oriented content but offering less stability in energy economy and weaker support for teammates.

Ultimately, the choice between the two depends on player priorities: those seeking reliability and team utility will benefit more from E0S1, whereas those aiming for peak single-target damage may prefer E1S0.
