Chiz Overview

Rarity: S-Rank | Element: Cosmos | Role: DPS | Arc: Gas

Chiz is an S-Rank Cosmos Gas character in Neverness to Everness.

She uses Basic Attacks and skills to gain Grain. Her core mechanic is the Redirect Skill (up to 3 charges), allowing consecutive attacks that scale with Grain.

Her Ultimate (Zero-Sum Game) triggers the Grain Market state, where Grain is invested into price fluctuations for settlement, and can also repay Grain Loans (even while in debt).

Support Skills boost her own Charge efficiency but prevent teammates from gaining Charge.

Life Skills increase foot traffic, reduce ingredient consumption, and affect restaurant pricing.

 

Chiz's Skills

Skill Upgrade Priority:

Redirect Skill (core mechanic) ≈ Ultimate > Basic Attack > others.

Core damage output and resource rotation depend on the first two — prioritize maxing them out.

Basic Attack

Exiled Swordplay	Swings the short staff to perform up to 5 consecutive attacks, dealing Cosmos DMG. Grants Grain on hit.
Barren	Press Barren to throw Brown Sugar Boba to devour the target, dealing 2 instance of Cosmos DMG, granting a certain amount of Grain and Fons. Triggers up to once every 2.5s. Hold Barren during any instance of Exiled Swordplay attacks to create a branch attack, dealing 2 instance of Cosmos DMG and granting a certain amount of Grain and Fons. Grants bonus Fons if this skill defeats the target. Up to 250,000 Fons can be earned this way. Increasing the Tycoon Level to 25 raises the cap to 500,000 Fons. Grants 1 Fons per use once the daily cap is reached. After reaching the total limit, no more Fons can be obtained this way.
Bountiful Grain	Press Basic Attack while airborne to plunge, dealing 1 instance of Cosmos DMG to an area upon impact, while granting a certain amount of Grain. Increases DMG based on fall height, up to 200%.

 

Critical Riposte - Minsky Moment

Triggers when pressing Basic Attack after a Critical Dodge. Leaps to evade and swings the staff, sending Brown Sugar Boba crashing into the target, dealing 1 instance of Cosmos DMG, reducing Break, and granting Grain.

 

Skill - Pink Paws Priority Principle

More, more, the more the merrier! Chiz's Redirect Skill charges can be accumulated, up to a maximum of 3 charges.

Press Redirect Skill to consume 1 skill charge and cast Redirect Skill: No Grain, dealing 1 instance of Cosmos DMG to the target. Press Redirect Skill consecutively to consume a corresponding number of skill charges, sequentially casting Redirect Skill: No Grain, Redirect Skill: Half Grain, and Redirect Skill: Full Grain, up to 3 consecutive casts.

When Chiz is in the Surplus state, pressing casts Redirect Skill: Pink Paws Priority Principle. Each Redirect Skill deals additional Cosmos DMG to the target based on Chiz's Grain count.

Hold Redirect Skill to consume 2 skill charges and cast Redirect Skill: No Grain and Redirect Skill: Half Grain. During Redirect Skill: Half Grain, Grain is continuously consumed, dealing additional continuous Cosmos DMG to the target based on the Grain consumed. When Redirect Skill: Half Grain ends, all of Chiz's Grain is consumed (including all Grain Loans under the Debt state). Press Redirect Skill again to consume 1 skill charge to end Redirect Skill: Half Grain early, stopping Grain consumption and casting Redirect Skill: Full Grain. Hold Redirect Skill continuously to consume 3 skill charges, consumes all of Chiz's Grain (including all Grain Loans under the Debt state), and sequentially casts Redirect Skill: No Grain, Redirect Skill: Half Grain, and Redirect Skill: Full Grain.

When Chiz is in the Surplus state, holding casts Redirect Skill: Pink Paws Priority Principle, causing Redirect Skill: No Grain to deal additional Cosmos DMG to the target based on Chiz's Grain count.

 

Ultimate - Zero-Sum Game

It's time to max the leverage! Chiz throws Brown Sugar Boba to attack enemies, dealing AOE Cosmos DMG once, and enters the Grain Market for 7 seconds.

After releasing her Ultimate: Zero-Sum Game, all remaining Grain Loans will be converted into Grain and Chiz will enter the Profit status. Chiz will invest all Grain into the Grain Market, and when her Redirect Skill: Pink Paws Supremacy is used, the Grain Price fluctuations at that time will be used in Grain Settlement to collect corresponding Grain. If Redirect Skill: Pink Paws Supremacy is activated by holding the button, Grain Settlement is calculated once, based on the Grain Price at the moment of activation.

When the Grain Market expires or when the character is switched, Chiz exits the Grain Market, and all current Grain will be prioritized to repay the Grain Loan.

Chiz can enter Grain Market even when she is in Debt status and the Grain Loan is not 0.

 

Support Skill

Temporary Entry	Hope I can m-make it in time… Brown Sugar Boba carries Chiz and crashes into the target, dealing 1 instance of Cosmos DMG.
Hanahaki Disease	Charge Enhancement: Grants active characters 4 additional Charge.
Hoarding	Hoarding Compulsion: Prevents other team members from gaining Charge and increases Chiz's Charge Efficiency by 20% while on the field.

 

Life Skills - Lobby Manager

Lv.1 - Chiz increases traffic by 18. Lv.2 - Chiz reduces ingredient consumption rate by 1%. Lv.3 - In Owner's Selection, each correct dish (excluding Danzaburou) raises prices. Up to 15 times per round. Lv.4 - Chiz reduces ingredient consumption rate by 1%. Lv.5 - Chiz increases traffic by 27.

 

Chiz's Awakenings

Sun, Sun… speak to me! A1	Increases the storage limit of Grain and Grain Loan by 25%.
Fireworks in Silence A2	Grants 10% of current Grain as interest per second while Chiz is in the Surplus state.
If There Were No Rainy Days A3	Increases the chance of a Grain Price increase by 50%.
To Riceball, Bandage, Fons A4	Increases Grain acquisition efficiency by 20%.
Blank Diary Pages A5	Grants Chiz Grain equal to 100% of the Grain storage limit upon entering combat.
Thirty-Three Days A6	Increases Grain's additional Cosmos DMG by 20%.

• A2 – Highest Priority: Grants 10% of current Grain as interest per second while in the Surplus state, greatly increasing damage output and resource rotation.
• A4 – Second Priority: Increases Grain acquisition efficiency by 20%, speeding up ramp-up.
• A1 / A5: Increase Grain storage limit / grant max Grain at combat start — improves fluidity and burst potential.
• A3 / A6: Probability-based or pure damage increase — lower priority.

 

Chiz's Resonances

Friends and Family 3 Awakenings	Increases Grain acquisition efficiency by an extra 50% while in the Debt state.
Homecoming 6 Awakenings	Reduces the target's Cosmos Resistance by 10% upon Chiz dealing damage.

 

Chiz's Modules

LOST RADIANCE (S)

2-PIECE BONUS Epic (2): Cosmos DMG +10%. 4-PIECE BONUS Legendary (4): Ignores 25% of enemies' DEF for 20s after the wearer casts Ultimate. Effect does not stack.

• Main Stats: Crit Rate / Cosmos DMG
• Drive Substats: Crit Rate, Crit DMG, ATK — prioritize double crit
• Setup: Aside from the four pieces required for the gear set bonus, fill the remaining slots with three-piece blocks.

 

Chiz's Teams

Chiz's team composition mainly revolves around the Surplus Effect. Therefore, the recommended team setup is 2 Cosmos + 1 Lakshana + 1 Anima.
