Reverse: 1999 Main DPS Tier List

The main DPS tier list for Reverse:1999 takes into account the damage potential of the different DPS options in the game and rates them based on how they perform in a team setting against end game contents and enemies. Please note that this rating will assume that you are running the optimal team comp for each of these Main DPS characters and have the sufficient support to make them shine the best.

Tier 0

Tier 0 Arcanists represent the pinnacle of damage output in the game. With proper support, these characters can hypercarry a team through the most difficult endgame content with ease.

Nautika

Lucy

Ezio Auditore

Explanations:

As the limited 6-star core of the Bloodtithe team, Nautika’s gameplay revolves around generating [Bloodtithe] to unleash her devastating Ultimate. She excels at dealing immense HP-scaling damage through both her Ultimate and her frequent follow-up attacks, making her arguably the most powerful and consistent Main DPS in the game.

Nautika

The limited 6-star centerpiece of the Dynamo team, Lucy specializes in building her [Electric Array] to its maximum level before unleashing catastrophic AoE attacks. While she requires a few turns to set up, her damage potential once she gets going is immense, solidifying her place as one of the game's premier Main DPS characters.

Lucy

A limited collaboration character from the Assassin's Creed series, Ezio is a master of versatility. He excels in both Extra Action (follow-up) and Ultimate-focused teams, boasting high damage and a superb, flexible kit. This makes him a top choice for everything from challenging endgame bosses to swiftly clearing daily farms.

Tier 1

Tier 1 Main DPS characters are powerful carries who can perform exceptionally well with proper investment. They may be held back slightly by team compositions that are more niche or less universally supported than Tier 0 archetypes.

Explanations:

Marcus

Recoleta

Barcarola

Explanations:

Marcus is the Main DPS for the Rank Up mechanic team. She gains special status when allies use ranked-up skills, which in turn enhances her own Incantations and damage. While solid on her own, her true potential is unlocked after her [Euphoria] system, which elevates her into a fully qualified Main DPS for the modern era.

Marcus

Recoleta is the engine of Ultimate Spam teams, granting Moxie to allies and fueling her own Ultimate in a powerful loop. While her damage was top-tier upon her release, she has since been surpassed by the premier Bloodtithe, Dynamo, Impromptu and Assassin archetypes. Nevertheless, she remains a potent force within her dedicated compositions.

Recoleta

Barcarola is the cornerstone of the Impromptu team, providing foundational damage and critical Afflatus advantage.

The complete Impromptu team (alongside Bloodtithe and Dynamo) is a top-tier endgame force, placing it firmly in Tier 0 territory. However, the team is highly demanding, requiring Aleph for burst damage and Kiperina for survival. For this reason, while the team is Tier 0, Barcarola as an individual unit is ranked Tier 1 due to her dependence on this specific, high-investment setup.

Barcarola

Tier 2

Tier 2 Main DPS characters require dedicated support and specific scenarios to truly shine. While they can perform capably in mid-stage endgame content, they are often outclassed by higher-tier options in terms of versatility or raw power.

Windsong

Jiu Niangzi

Anjo Nala

Liang Yue

Explanations:

Windsong is a highly specialized Arcanist who shines brightest in Mane's Bulletin. Her unique Ultimate, which unleashes her entire hand of cards, synergizes incredibly well with Flutterpage's buffs, leading to her holding the damage record on the CN server (1,999,999,999 points). However, this high ceiling comes at a cost. She requires complex strategy and manual control, making her impractical and underwhelming for daily farming and most other content.

Windsong

As a limited 6-star character, Jiu Niangzi serves as a solid single-target DPS for Extra Action teams. Her kit allows her to consume special [Liquor] stacks to initiate follow-up attacks whenever a teammate acts, enabling her to deal consistent, focused damage.

Jiu Niangzi

Anjo Nala's value has shifted in the modern meta. Her control mechanic, remains highly effective in the high-pressure environments of content like Reveries, where managing the battlefield is crucial. However, in an era of significant powercreep, her personal damage output can no longer compete with higher-tier options, solidifying her position in Tier 2.

Anjo Nala

Liang Yue features a robust kit, including valuable CC immunity. Unfortunately, her damage output has been significantly powercrept over time. Furthermore, her gameplay feels very clunky at Portray 0, with Portray 2 being almost mandatory for a smooth experience. While still serviceable, these limitations place her firmly in Tier 2.

Reverse: 1999 Support Tier List

Tier 0

These supports are meta-defining. They are either so universally powerful or so dominant in their archetype that they fundamentally shape how the game is played.

Charon

Flutterpage

Explanations:

As a cornerstone of the Dynamo team, Charon provides an absurd amount of buffs for allies and debuffs for enemies. His true power lies in his efficiency; after casting his initial buff Incantation, he can operate on auto-pilot, passively gaining Moxie to maintain his powerful effects without needing additional actions. He is, simply put, a powerhouse.

Charon

Flutterpage is the premier support for any team that relies on Extra Actions (follow-ups). She provides a massive damage bonus and an extra action point, making her a near-universal pick for most top-tier teams. Her influence is so profound that new characters and mechanics are often designed specifically to work around her buffs—the ultimate testament to her power. (Her signature Psychube is also an excellent and versatile choice).

Flutterpage

Tier 1

Tier 1 supports are usually core members of powerful archetypes. They provide outstanding utility and often contribute respectable damage of their own, but they are typically more specialized than Tier 0 units.

Sentinel

Ulrich

Melania

Kassandra

Semmelweis

Aleph

Explanations:

The dedicated support and sub-DPS for the Bloodtithe team, effectively filling the role Flutterpage might in other compositions. She provides Crit Rate to Crit DMG conversion, additional buffs, and helps generate [Bloodtithe], all while dealing significant personal damage. She is only in T1 because the T0 supports are in a league of their own.

Sentinel

A specialized support for the Dynamo team. Ulrich provides a massive total damage buff (up to 140%) and generates [Dynamo] stacks. He excels at aligning his skills with Lucy to maximize the benefits from Charon and the [Electric Array], contributing impressive damage as a sub-DPS (often 30-70% of Lucy's).

Ulrich

A strong support for Ultimate-focused teams, Melania shines in content like Reveries where her ability to steal Moxie provides both offensive momentum and survival. She offers a significant Ultimate damage bonus and can be a potent support for characters like Nautika.

Melania

Primarily designed to synergize with Ezio in the Assassin team, Kassandra has solid general utility as well. She can operate effectively on auto-pilot while contributing good damage, making her a reliable slot-in. Like Sentinel, her T1 placement is a reflection of T0's sheer strength.

Kassandra

The mandatory partner for Nautika in the Bloodtithe team. She provides enormous buffs to Nautika and enables a team-wide array that increases damage as HP decreases. However, her utility is a double-edged sword: if you don't have Nautika, her team-wide HP drain makes her rather a liability rather than an asset.

Semmelweis

The engine of the Impromptu team. Alongside Barcarola, he provides the team with unparalleled burst damage, often resulting in a 100%+ total damage increase in boss fights. He is essentially the "Flutterpage" of the Impromptu archetype, but with an even higher damage ceiling. This power comes with a major caveat: outside of his dedicated team, he is completely useless.

Aleph

Tier 2

These supports are either generalists who have been outpaced by archetype-specific units or are core to teams that are currently considered off-meta.

Lopera

Mercuria

Moldir

Explanations:

One of the solid universal supports who serve as excellent filler options when you lack a specialized T1 unit. In an era of synergistic archetypes, their general buffs are numerically weaker than dedicated supports. However, if you're unsure who to use, she’s definitely a good choice.

Lopera

One of the solid universal supports who serve as excellent filler options when you lack a specialized T1 unit. In an era of synergistic archetypes, their general buffs are numerically weaker than dedicated supports. However, if you're unsure who to use, Mercuria is a great "AFK" choice who can also support Rank-Up teams with Marcus. Mercuria's Portrays also provide a very strong power boost.

Mercuria

A dedicated member of the Ultimate team. While her personal support and damage capabilities are quite good, the archetype as a whole currently lags behind the big four (Bloodtithe, Dynamo, Impromptu, Assassin). And perhaps more importantly... does anyone enjoy watching that many Ultimate animations back-to-back?

Reverse: 1999 Sustain Tier List

Sustain characters are rated on their healing/shielding, the utility and buffs they provide, and their versatility across different teams.

Tier 0

The best-in-class sustain characters. They provide excellent survivability while also enabling their team's core mechanics, making them both powerful and versatile.

Fatutu

Kiperina

Explanations:

An extremely strong and flexible healer. Fatutu's unique [Spirit Shells] debuff increases the Extra Action damage enemies receive. Her ability to redistribute the team's HP is a perfect way to generate resources like [Bloodtithe] while keeping allies healthy. Her Moxie generation adds yet another layer of utility, making her a top choice for many different teams.

Fatutu

The premier sustain option for the Impromptu team, Kiperina provides massive shields fueled by her team's mechanics. She converts critical [Impromptu Incantations] into extra [Eureka] stacks and can cleanse all allies of debuffs with her Ultimate. This combination of powerful shielding and utility makes her an indispensable defensive cornerstone.

Tier 1

This tier represents a solid, albeit dated, sustain option who is functional but has been largely surpassed by the modern meta.

Vila is a 6* character of the Plant Afflatus and is the main sustain option for the Rank Up team. Her abilities allow the team’s Ultimate to be counted as high ranking Incantation Skills, allowing other teammates to trigger their abilities. While she was once a staple, she is now largely considered a victim of powercreep. Her ability to protect allies in high-pressure endgame content is relatively not so reliable.

Vila

Tier 2

Reliable and effective sustain units that serve as strong generalist options, though they may lack the game-changing synergies of Tier 0.

Ezra

Medicine Pocket

Ms. NewBabel

Explanations:

The dedicated sustain for the Dynamo team. While Ezra's mushroom mechanic can fuel the [Electric Array] and provide buffs, his defensive capabilities are a significant weakness. The shields he provides are thin and suffer from considerable downtime, making him a relatively poor choice for surviving the game's most difficult content.

Ezra

Ms. NewBabel is a premier "comfort pick" for survivability. She provides thick, automatic shields, making her a very reliable and low-maintenance sustain with decent auxiliary support. For her strong and consistent defensive capability, she is a top choice within Tier 2.

Ms. NewBabel

A classic and reliable all-in-one healer. Medicine Pocket's kit is straightforward and effective, offering healing and debuff cleanse that can fit into any team. They are a perfectly serviceable and standard choice, but lack the powerful synergies or specialized strengths of higher-tier units.

Medicine Pocket
