Derieri Build Guide – The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin

Derieri arrives in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin Version 1.8 on August 5, 2026. Depending on her weapon, she can become a fast Darkness combo attacker, a Fire support for Ultimate Move and Combined Attack teams, or a Darkness support built around Burst and Normal Skill damage. This Derieri build guide covers her best builds, weapons, teams, and upgrade priorities.

Derieri Overview

Derieri’s Gauntlets path is her dedicated Darkness attacker build. It revolves around maintaining Strike Combo, applying Showdown, chaining several skills without interrupting her pressure, and eventually unlocking Devastator at maximum stacks. This route demands the most field time, but it also gives Derieri her clearest main-DPS identity.

Her Greatsword path turns her into a Fire support. It lowers Fire Defense, increases allied Fire Attack, and improves the Crit Damage of Fire heroes’ Ultimate Moves and Combined Attacks. Its damage also uses the team’s remaining HP, making it especially comfortable in teams that can stay healthy throughout the rotation.

Her Axe path is a Darkness support focused on Normal Skills. Repeated Normal Attack hits lower Darkness Resistance, Darkness Burst grants Crit Damage to Darkness allies, and her Special Attack increases allied Darkness heroes’ Normal Skill damage. This is the route to choose when another Darkness character is already carrying the team.

 

Best Derieri Build

For most players who want Derieri to be the star of the team, I would start with Gauntlets. Her Combo Amp passive, Showdown debuff, high skill multipliers, and free Devastator finisher give this path the strongest personal damage potential. It is also the build that best captures her signature Combo Star playstyle.

Axe Derieri is the better investment when you already have a well-built Darkness attacker. Instead of competing for field time, she lowers Darkness Resistance, buffs Darkness Crit Damage and Normal Skill damage, and adds Night Bloom follow-up damage based on her own Attack.

Greatsword Derieri is more specialized. Build it when your account already has a Fire attacker and a reliable Fire Burst setup, especially when the team is designed to deal most of its damage through Ultimate Moves or Combined Attacks.

 

Gauntlets Derieri Build

Gauntlets Derieri is a Darkness attacker built for extended on-field combos. Her game plan is to apply Showdown, build Strike Combo through continuous hits, and carry that momentum into Combo Star and her free Devastator finisher. She can also cancel between her main combat skills, giving this build a faster and more aggressive flow than her support-oriented weapon paths.

This is the best route when you want Derieri to serve as the team’s main damage dealer. She benefits from teammates who can establish Darkness Burst, weaken the enemy, or protect her while she remains active. The build takes some setup because losing contact with the target can interrupt her short Strike Combo window, but once the rotation is running, she delivers strong single-target pressure and a powerful finishing sequence.

Recommended stat direction

Attack Increase > Darkness Attack Increase > Crit Damage > Crit Chance > Normal Skill Damage Increase > Darkness Damage Increase > Pierce

Attack is the foundation of this build because every part of Derieri’s damage scales from it, including Showdown’s additional hit. Crit stats become increasingly valuable as she gains more Strike Combo bonuses. At Potential Tier 5, reaching 25 stacks grants 50% Crit Damage, while maximum stacks provide 100 Pierce. This means high-investment Derieri builds can lean slightly more toward Crit Chance because part of her Crit Damage and Pierce already comes from her kit.

Normal Skill Damage is also valuable because Chasing Kick applies Showdown and has a strong multiplier. Ultimate Move Damage is useful, but it should not come before the stats that improve her entire combo.

Best Gauntlets Weapon

Gluttonous Soul Gauntlets

Gluttonous Soul Gauntlets is the best overall weapon for Gauntlets Derieri. It provides Darkness Attack and Ultimate Move Damage Increase, directly strengthening the elemental damage and finishers at the center of her kit.

Its Darkness Barrage passive increases Darkness Attack with every hit on an enemy, stacking up to 32% for five seconds. This is an excellent match for Derieri because Beat Rush, Chasing Kick, Wild Rush, and Combo Star all land multiple hits, allowing her to build the passive quickly while stacking Strike Combo at the same time. As long as she maintains her offense, the short duration is continuously refreshed throughout her combo.

Unlike weapons that only become effective after a Burst is activated, Gluttonous Soul Gauntlets supports Derieri throughout her full on-field sequence. Its Darkness Attack benefits her Normal Skill, Special Attack, Ultimate Move, Showdown damage, and Devastator, while the Ultimate Move stat further improves her biggest finishing attacks. This makes it the most complete and consistent weapon for her Gauntlets build. The weapon was also introduced as a new craftable item alongside Derieri in Version 1.8.

Black Flame Wings Gauntlets

Black Flame Wings Gauntlets is the best general alternative if you already have it upgraded. It provides Crit Damage, then increases Attack and Crit Chance for ten seconds after a Burst is activated. These bonuses can give Derieri a strong concentrated damage window, especially when she enters the field after the team has prepared Darkness Burst.

However, it is less consistent than Gluttonous Soul Gauntlets because its passive depends on Burst activation and only lasts for a limited window. It also lacks the direct Darkness Attack and Ultimate Move Damage stats that complement Derieri’s entire combo. Pick Black Flame Wings when it is already heavily invested, but prioritize crafting and building Gluttonous Soul Gauntlets for her long-term main setup.

Best Gauntlets Team

This is a balanced Gauntlets Derieri team built around giving her a safe, extended damage window. Merlin’s Staff path establishes Fire Burst and supports burst-based rotations. A following Darkness attack can convert the active elemental state into Darkness Burst, allowing Derieri and Bug to start applying their Darkness effects. Bug brings Curse-based Darkness support and additional resistance reduction, while Elizabeth provides healing, Defense support, damage reduction, and Reaction Immunity.

Start by preparing Merlin and Bug’s effects, then apply Showdown with Chasing Kick. Use Wild Rush to reduce Ultimate Move Magic Consumption, continue attacking until Strike Combo reaches its important thresholds, and use Combo Star during the main damage window. Save Devastator until you are ready to end the sequence because it consumes all Strike Combo stacks.

 

Greatsword Derieri Build

Greatsword Derieri is a Fire support and secondary damage dealer designed around Ultimate Moves and Combined Attacks. Rather than staying on the field as the main carry, she prepares the enemy by reducing Fire Defense, increases the team’s Fire Attack, and strengthens the burst damage dealt by allied Fire heroes.

This build fits Fire teams that want to concentrate most of their damage into one coordinated bossing window. Derieri sets up the necessary buffs and debuffs before the main attacker uses an Ultimate Move or Combined Attack, while her own Ultimate further increases the value of that sequence. Her damage also benefits from keeping the party’s remaining HP high, so she works especially well in teams with reliable healing, shielding, or players who can avoid unnecessary damage.

Recommended stat direction

Attack Increase > HP Increase > Fire Attack Increase > Buff Duration Efficiency > Magic Charging Efficiency > Ultimate Move Damage Increase

Attack comes first because it raises Derieri’s own damage and directly improves the Fire Attack granted by Rending Slam. HP helps keep her healthy and supports a playstyle in which the team wants to preserve as much remaining HP as possible.

Fire Attack and Fire Damage improve her personal contribution, while Magic Charging Efficiency helps her reach Inferno Quake more consistently. Buff Duration is useful for keeping her setup active across longer boss rotations, although Cross Cleave and Rending Slam already have generous base durations.

Best Greatsword Weapon

Black Flame Wings Greatsword

Black Flame Wings Greatsword is the premium general option. Its Crit Damage stat improves Derieri’s personal output, while the Attack and Crit Chance gained after activating a Burst strengthen her Fire rotation. The Attack increase is particularly useful because it also improves the Fire Attack buff provided by Rending Slam.

Crimson Flame Greatsword

Crimson Flame Greatsword is the practical four-star alternative. It provides Crit Damage and increases Attack after Burst activation. It lacks the additional Crit Chance of Black Flame Wings, but it still supports the most important part of Greatsword Derieri’s build: raising her Attack before she applies Rending Slam and begins the team’s main Fire damage window.

Best Greatsword Team

Escanor (Axe)	Derieri (Greatsword)	Merlin (Staff)	Mannie (Staff)

This is an offensive Fire team built around Escanor’s damage and Derieri’s Ultimate Move support. Merlin helps activate Fire Burst, while Derieri lowers Fire Defense, increases Fire Attack, and improves Ultimate Move and Combined Attack Crit Damage. Mannie adds Crit Damage, Magic support, cooldown manipulation, and additional resistance reduction, giving the team more opportunities to cycle its important skills.

Open with Cross Cleave to lower Fire Defense, then use Rending Slam to apply the Fire Attack buff. Once Fire Burst and the team’s remaining buffs are ready, cast Inferno Quake before Escanor’s main Ultimate Move or Combined Attack sequence. This version is aggressive and rewards clean dodging; Elizabeth’s Grimoire path can replace Mannie when a stage requires more healing and protection.

 

Axe Derieri Build

Axe Derieri is a Darkness support who helps Normal Skill-focused attackers deal more damage. She uses repeated Normal Attack hits to lower the enemy’s Darkness Resistance, then adds Crit Damage and Normal Skill support once Darkness Burst is active. Night Bloom also lets allied Darkness Normal Skills trigger additional damage based on Derieri’s Attack, giving her a direct supporting role even after another character takes the field.

This path is the better choice when your account already has a dedicated Darkness carry, especially one whose rotation relies heavily on Normal Skills. Axe Derieri needs a little preparation before the main damage window begins, but her resistance reduction, team buffs, and follow-up damage make that setup worthwhile. Her Ultimate is best saved for the end of Darkness Burst because its final hit removes the Burst effect from the enemy.

Recommended stat direction

Attack Increase > Buff Duration Efficiency > Darkness Attack Increase > Normal Attack Damage Increase > Normal Skill Damage Increase > Crit Chance > Crit Damage

Attack is the priority because Night Bloom’s additional damage scales from Derieri’s Attack. At Potential Tier 10, her Normal Skill can also grant allied Darkness Attack based on her Attack, making the stat even more important at maximum investment.

Buff Duration Efficiency helps maintain Dark Charge, Night Bloom, and the Normal Skill damage window. Normal Attack stats are useful because Derieri must repeatedly hit the enemy to reach the full Darkness Resistance reduction, while Normal Skill Damage improves Rising Cross and supports her role inside a Normal Skill-based team.

Best Axe Weapon

Breath of Glory Axe

Breath of Glory Axe has excellent mechanical synergy with this path. After Derieri uses Axe Throw, repeated Normal Attack hits raise her Attack and All Elemental Damage. Those same hits also stack Dark Charge’s Darkness Resistance reduction, so the weapon and her passive can be prepared at the same time. The extra Attack then strengthens Night Bloom when she follows with Rising Cross.

Black Flame Wings Axe

Black Flame Wings Axe is the stronger short-window alternative. It provides Crit Damage and increases Attack and Crit Chance after Burst activation. This is useful when Derieri needs to apply her support effects quickly before tagging into the team’s main Darkness attacker.

Gluttonous Soul Axe appears in one early recommendation list, but I would not prioritize it for Axe Derieri. Its stat and passive increase Fire damage, while this Derieri path deals Darkness damage. The Max HP interaction does not compensate for losing an element-matching offensive effect.

Best Axe Team

Meliodas (Longsword)	Derieri (Axe)	Bug (Grimoire)	Merlin (Staff)

This is the aggressive Axe Derieri team for pushing Darkness Normal Skill damage. Merlin establishes the initial Fire Burst, which the Darkness characters can convert into Darkness Burst. Bug applies Curse and provides another layer of Darkness support, while Derieri lowers Darkness Resistance, grants Crit Damage after Darkness Burst, applies Night Bloom, and increases allied Darkness Normal Skill damage. Meliodas then uses the prepared window as the main attacker.

Use Derieri’s Normal Attacks first to build Dark Charge, then activate Darkness Burst and apply Night Bloom with Rising Cross. Follow with Axe Throw to grant the 50% Normal Skill damage increase. Let Meliodas and Bug use their Darkness Normal Skills while Night Bloom and the Burst are active. Darkfall Cleave should be the final action of the window because its last hit removes Darkness Burst.

 

Derieri Upgrade Priority

For Gauntlets Derieri, prioritize Chasing Kick first because it applies Showdown and begins her main damage loop. Wild Rush comes next for its strong damage, Reaction Immunity, and Ultimate Move Magic Consumption reduction. Upgrade Combo Star afterward to strengthen her large finishing sequence. Potential Tier 5 is the first major breakpoint, adding Crit Damage at 25 Strike Combo stacks and Pierce at maximum stacks. Tiers 6, 9, and 10 significantly improve Showdown, Devastator, and Wild Rush, but they require much heavier investment.

For Greatsword Derieri, prioritize Rending Slam first because the Fire Attack buff is the foundation of her support role. Cross Cleave comes next to maintain Fire Defense reduction and activate Blaze Mark. Inferno Quake should then be upgraded for stronger damage and better Ultimate Move or Combined Attack setup. Her most impactful later Potential upgrades arrive at Tiers 7, 9, and 10, which further increase enemy damage taken, allied Fire Attack, Defense Shatter, and Fire Crit Damage.

For Axe Derieri, prioritize Rising Cross first because Night Bloom is her main source of Attack-scaling support damage. Axe Throw comes next for the 50% Darkness Normal Skill damage buff. Darkfall Cleave should be upgraded afterward, but remember to use it only when the Darkness Burst window is about to end. Potential Tiers 6 and 7 are especially valuable because they strengthen Night Bloom and add another Normal Skill damage-taken effect.
