Wuthering Waves 2.8 New Echoes and Optimization

Nightmare: Tick Tack

Echo Skill

Summon a Tick Tack that charges and bites the enemy. The charge from Tick Tack will deal 68.48% Havoc DMG to the enemy, and the bite will deal 102.72% Havoc DMG to the enemy. Reduces enemy Vibration Strength by up to 5.00% during 5s.

CD: 15s

Echo Sets: Thread of Severed Fate

3-Pc: Inflicting Havoc Bane increases the Resonator's ATK by 20% and grants 30% Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus for 5s.

 

Nightmare: Dwarf Cassowary

Echo Skill

Summon a Dwarf Cassowary that tracks and attacks the enemy, dealing 38.40% Physical DMG 3 time(s).

Cooldown: 8s

Echo Sets: Thread of Severed Fate

3-Pc: Inflicting Havoc Bane increases the Resonator's ATK by 20% and grants 30% Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus for 5s.

 

Nightmare: Roseshroom

Echo Skill

Summon a Roseshroom that fires a laser, dealing 57.07% Havoc DMG up to 3 times.

The main mechanism of these three new echoes revolves around boosting Resonance Liberation damage through the Havoc Bane effect. After the massive bundle of updates during the anniversary, most newly released echoes have been closely tied to new characters—so it's worth wondering if these three will follow the same pattern this time.

 

New Optimization: Absorb Echoes

In Wuwa version 2.8, there is a new optimization about echoes: with this feature, there is no need to pick up falling echoes one by one. Simply absorb all echoes with One-Click within a small area (a certain range like the gif).

 

Will They Adapt to the New Characters?

In Wuwa 2.8 banners, two new characters will be released: Buling and Chisa. Buling is a 4-star Electro character. According to the skill data from LDShop, Buling's kit mainly revolves around "Yin-Yang Balance" and team healing, rather than benefiting from Void-type damage amplification effects. As a result, the new 2.8 Echoes may offer only limited improvement for her.

According to LDShop's data, Chisa's kit revolves around marking enemies and reducing their defenses, making her a damage-over-time and debuff-oriented character. As such, the new 2.8 echoes that inflict Havoc Bane effects on enemies should synergize well with her kit, further enhancing her damage rotation.
