Wuthering Waves 2.8 Updates: FREE 1000 Astrites for TGA Nominee

Version 2.8 of Wuthering Waves, expected to launch on November 20, may serve as a transitional update, introducing a fresh modern-style map, Honami City, with a desolate, urban ruin atmosphere. Players can also look forward to the debut of the new characters Chisa and Buling, along with several quality-of-life optimizations to enhance gameplay.

2.8 Livestream Codes

The 2.8 special broadcast releases three codes for Rovers to receive FREE Astrites and more attractive rewards:

Free 1000 Astrites

Wuthering Waves has been nominated for Best Mobile Game at TGA 2025. To celebrete it, WuWa will give us 1000 Astrites as a gift. Don't forget to claim it from your email at 11/22/2025. 

Eligibility: Reach Union Level 2 and unlock the Mail feature. The reward will remain claimable until Version 2.8 ends.

 

New Map

In Version 2.8, the new map Honami is portrayed as an empty city, featuring distinctive locations such as the Neon Tower and Hanakage Underground Street. It is likely a standalone area rather than part of the main overworld. What can be confirmed is that the map’s design is closely tied to Chisa, though it will likely differ from the large-scale maps coming after Version 3.0.

New Event

Tactical Simulacra: Off Tune

It allows players to enter a special simulated domain where they face multiple powerful enemies under unique buffs.

As players progress through the challenges, additional special buffs will be unlocked to help them complete later stages more efficiently. The final score is determined by two factors: enemy score and time score.

Stranger Things in Honami

Stranger Things in Honami is the main management event of Version 2.8, where you’ll explore more of Honami City while building up and upgrading the newly added Shashou Café, uncovering new stories and surprises along the way.

Gifts of Amber

This login event lets you claim Lustrous and Radiant Tides simply by logging in for seven days during Version 2.8.

Lollo Campaign

A new round of the Lollo Campaign is coming, letting players try Maji’s fresh twist on the event and collect rewards from a variety of lottery tickets.

Whispers of the Waves

This photo event in Honami City lets you capture memories of the Metropolis and earn Astrites along the way.

Search for It! Bits of Lahai-Roi!

Once the event begins, Namipon will provide a new clue each day about a drifting item. Find the corresponding item and uncover the hidden message within to earn rewards.

Ascendant Aces

Ascendant Aces is a trial arena for Version 2.8 characters, where completing each challenge lets you earn Astrites.

 

New Information

Spacetrek Collective

An international scientific organization jointly established by various nations and organizations of Solaris. It oversees the research, development, and construction work in Lahai-Roi. It was the Spacetrek Collective that built the Research Institute and the Startorch Academy in the vast space beneath the frostlands.

Startorch Academy

Startorch Academy is a comprehensive research facility that doesn't belong to any country, built with the goal of collaborative scientific research. It is an academic metroplis driven solely by educational and research pursuits. Compared to its official title of "Startorch Academy" the people of Solaris prefer to call it the "Resonator Academy."

New Elite Enemy

Tactical Hologram: The False Sovereign

Version 2.8 adds The False Sovereign to the Tactical Hologram boss lineup, offering players progressively tougher challenges with increasingly complex mechanics.

Echo absorption

A new Echo optimization has been added — players can now absorb all nearby Echoes at once with a single click.

Material Supply

Added a “Material Supply” window: when material conditions are met, you can use it to synthesize materials, replace materials, open material chests, and more.

Automatic Mute

Added automatic mute functionality when the game runs in the background.

Lady of the Sea

Optimized the re-challenge process for the Lady of the Sea dungeon.
