Lucilla is coming to Wuthering Waves as a 5-star Glacio Rectifier Resonator. She can support Hiyuki’s frost-based damage system, boost Echo Skill teams, or even take the main DPS slot if you invest enough into her. This guide breaks down Lucilla’s best Glacio Chafe team, Echo team options, and main DPS setup for Rovers who want to build her the right way.
Lucilla Overview

Lucilla’s kit has two clear directions: Glacio Chafe for Hiyuki teams, and Echo Mode for Echo Skill teams like Sigrika. Galbrena and Phrolova can also take advantage of her Echo support, though she is not always their best teammate by default.
In Glacio Chafe teams, Lucilla works more like a Sub-DPS and support. She helps Hiyuki stack more frost-related value through Snow Rust, Glacio RES Shred, and Glacio Chafe DMG Deepen. This makes her a strong partner for Hiyuki, especially when Hiyuki is highly invested.
In Echo teams, Lucilla shifts into a different role. Instead of focusing on Hiyuki’s Glacio Chafe system, she supports Echo Skill damage and works better with characters like Sigrika. This is also where Galbrena and Phrolova can make use of her kit, depending on your roster.
Because Lucilla’s value changes a lot depending on which mode you use, you should decide her team first before building her. Low-sequence Lucilla usually performs better as a Sub-DPS or support, while high-investment Lucilla can also move into a main DPS role.

This is Lucilla’s most direct team. Her Glacio Chafe Mode is clearly made to work with Hiyuki’s frost-based damage system, especially if your Hiyuki is already well-invested.
In this team, Lucilla mainly does three things for Hiyuki.
First, she brings extra Glacio RES Shred and Glacio Chafe DMG amplification. At the current tracked values, one stack of Snow Rust gives 8% Glacio RES Shred and 60% Glacio Chafe DMG Deepen.
Second, Lucilla adds more frost-related damage instances during each damage cycle. The catch is that these extra hits are counted as Lucilla’s damage, not Hiyuki’s. That means they do not normally trigger Hiyuki’s own 102% multiplier. The exception is S6 Hiyuki, where this interaction becomes much stronger.
Third, Lucilla’s signature weapon Freeze Frame gives Hiyuki a very useful team buff. At R1, it provides 24% ATK, which is a clean boost for Hiyuki’s output. If Lucilla reaches S2, her Glacio Chafe DMG Deepen also gains another big increase, making her a much stronger Hiyuki partner.
That said, low-sequence Lucilla is not always a straight upgrade over Lynae. Lynae still has stronger direct buffing in many normal Hiyuki teams, and her own damage contribution can also be higher. Lucilla catches up better when Hiyuki’s Glacio Chafe damage is pushed higher, especially with S6 Hiyuki.
So the short answer is: Lucilla is good with Hiyuki, but she becomes much better when Hiyuki is highly invested.

Best Echo Set |
Wishes of Quiet Snowfall |
If your Lucilla is low-sequence and mainly supporting Hiyuki, Wishes of Quiet Snowfall is the safest Echo Set choice. It fits her Glacio Chafe gameplay, gives Glacio DMG value, and lets Lucilla pass extra Glacio DMG Bonus to the incoming Resonator through her Outro window.
Best Echo Team: Sigrika + Lucilla + Shorekeeper

|
Sigrika
|
Lucilla
|
Shorekeeper
|
Lucilla’s Echo Mode is made for Echo Skill teams, and Sigrika is her cleanest partner here.
Unlike the Hiyuki team, this setup does not care much about Glacio Chafe. Instead, Lucilla helps increase the value of Echo Skill damage while adding her own off-field contribution. If you are building Sigrika as your main DPS, Lucilla gives the team another layer of damage support without making the rotation too clunky.
Shorekeeper is the premium healer slot because she brings strong team buffs and good comfort. If Shorekeeper is busy in another team, Verina works fine as the easier replacement.
For Echo teams, Lucilla is more flexible than she is in Glacio teams. Sigrika gets the cleanest value from her, while Galbrena and Phrolova can also benefit depending on your roster.
Phrolova is the tricky one. She can use Lucilla’s Echo Mode, but Lucilla is not automatically her top teammate. Think of it more like a strong optional support, not a must-pull partner. If your Phrolova team already has a better-tuned support core, you do not need to force Lucilla in.

Qiuyuan / Sanhua

Lucilla can be played as a main DPS, but this is more of a high-investment route.
If your Lucilla is low-sequence, she usually gives more value as a Sub-DPS or support. Once she reaches higher sequences and has her signature weapon, main DPS Lucilla becomes much more realistic.
For Echo Mode main DPS Lucilla, Qiuyuan is the better partner because he fits Echo-style damage better. For Glacio Mode Lucilla, Sanhua can be used instead, especially if you want to lean more into her direct Glacio damage.
The main thing to remember is this: if your Lucilla is highly invested, do not force her into a Hiyuki team unless your Hiyuki is also highly invested. Otherwise, the team can feel awkward because both characters want too much priority.
Final Thoughts
That is the Lucilla team guide for WuWa.
For most players, Lucilla’s best teams are clear: pair her with Hiyuki for Glacio Chafe support, or run her with Sigrika for Echo Skill teams. Phrolova and Galbrena can also use her Echo Mode, but they are more flexible cases. If your Lucilla is highly invested, she can even step into the main DPS slot, but that is not the budget route.
