ZZZ 2.2 Banner Leaks: NEW Characters Orphie & Seed

Good day, Proxies! As the ZZZ 2.1 released, more and more leaks about ZZZ 2.2 banner occured.

ZZZ 2.2 Releasse Date

Based on Seele's leaks, the ZZZ 2.1 will end on September 4, 2025, so the ZZZ 2.2 will release on September 4. And the ZZZ 2.2 livestream is to take place around August 23, 2025.

ZZZ 2.2 NEW Characters

ZZZ 2.2 will introduce two new characters: Orphie and Seed. But wait—where is Manato? At this point, it’s starting to look like he might be an S-Rank agent. After all, why else would they keep him under wraps for so long?

 

Orphie & Magus

Rarity: S | Weapon: Attack | Attribute: Fire

Orphie is Fire Attack agent and as we expected before, she is the last piece of Follow-up Attack team. 

We can see from Orphie's kit, she focused on off-field damage out put and her kit revolve around [Aftershock]. Her Additional Ability increased the Aftershock's DMG and considered most of the attacks as Aftershock, this is a huge improvement for FUA team.

When paired with Soldier 0 Anby, the team forms a complementary setup: Anby serves as the on-field DPS while providing a Aftershock CRIT DMG bonus, and Orphie focuses on off-field Aftershock damage with an additional Aftershock damage boost. The two amplify each other’s strengths, whereas Trigger mainly offers off-field Stun support and doesn’t feel like a mandatory inclusion here.

However, it’s worth noting that both Anby and Orphie’s Additional Ability require a Stuner in the team, making these three agents natural fits as core members for FUA team.

Seed

Rarity: S | Weapon: Attack | Attribute: Electric

According to Swinging leaks, Seed is a S-Rank Electric Attack agent who will debut in the first half of ZZZ 2.2. As a member of the Obol Squad, Seed is consist of two character, the blue haired girl and the mech. Much like Soldier 11, Seed is simply a codename whitn Obol.

As Obol's artillery specialist, Seed delivers massive damage through her mech-mounted cannon attacks. Her ultimate's first-person firing mode introduces a unique gameplay perspective not seen elsewhere in ZZZ.

However, Seed's kit currently faces a key issue: while requiring an off-field Attack Aftershock unit (with Orpheus being the obvious choice), Seed herself only has one move (Mech Strike) that qualifies as a true Aftershock attack. This creates inconsistent team-building demands without providing proper Aftershock synergy.

For better mechanical cohesion, future adjustments should reclassify her Mech Heavy Strike and Ultimate as Aftershocks. These changes would properly align her with the intended dual-Attack team composition.

Future New Character: Komano Manato

One of the few muscle bros in Zenless, Manato’s outfit... well, let’s just say it could use some work. Let’s hope the devs clean it up a bit later.

Leak source Firefly says he’ll be an A-Rank character. However, unlike A-Rank Pan Yinhu, who was released alongside two S-Rank agents from the same faction, Manato wasn't revealed together with Yuzuha and Alice.

This has sparked a lot of discussion in the coummunities, with many hoping he’ll be an S-Rank agent. Given how closely the ZZZ devs monitor communities feedback, there's a good chance Manato might end up debuting as an S-Rank. But Swinging leaks that Manato would not debut in ZZZ 2.2 as a S-rank unit.

According to Seele leaks, Manato is a Fire Rupture Agent. And look at the above Manato gameplay, he indeed using fire in his attacks. 

 

ZZZ 2.2 NEW Skins

According to the leaks from Mero, ZZZ 2.2 will have new skin/skins. Looking at the skins released in Versions 2.0 and 2.1, they’ve all been given to the featured banner agents of those patches. So, there’s a good chance the Version 2.2 skins will also go to the upcoming featured agents—Orphie and Seed. Definitely something worth keeping an eye on!

 

NEW Drive Disc

Dawn's Bloom

2-Pc: Increases Basic Attack DMG by 15%.
4-Pc: Increases [Basic Attack] DMG by 20%. When equipped by an [Attack-type character], using [EX Special Attack] or [Ultimate] will further increase [Basic Attack] DMG by 25% for 25 seconds; repeated triggers reset the duration.

This new drive disc is truly made for Seed for its effect, which all about the Basic Attack DMG boosts.

Moonlight Lullaby

2-pc: Energy Regen +20%

4-pc: When equipper is a Support character and uses an EX Special Attack or Ultimate, increases DMG dealt by all squad members by 20% for 20s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.

 

NEW Bangboo

Mrecury

Rarity: S | CRIT Rate: 50% | CRIT DMG: 100%

Base HP: 4210 | Base ATK: 8863 | Base DEF: 666

This Bangboo belongs to Obol Squad, he deals Fire DMG. The coolest part of it is it can summon a flame-spewing tank and even launch itself as a projectile! Its additional abilities require two teammates from the same faction to activate.  That's easily achievable in Zenless Zone Zero since team compositions are fundamentally built around faction synergies.

 

Excaliboo (FREE!)

Rarity: A | CRIT Rate: 50% | CRIT DMG: 100%

Base HP: 3827 | Base ATK: 6570 | Base DEF: 781

This Bangboo is called EXCALIBOO, wait, is ZZZ collab with Fate? Just kidding, it's fun though.

He deals Physical DMG and his skill is trying to draw the sword, if he fails he "hammers" the enemy 3 times, if he draw the sword he slashes them. His team passive says that if 1 rupture is in the team he will always draw the sword and damage is increased by 30%.
