Saber Overview
Rarity: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐|Element: Wind|Path: Destruction
Saber is a limited five-star Destruction Path character with the Wind element. She excels as a main DPS and thrives on frequent ultimate usage for high burst damage. Not only does she have high Break Damage, but she can also deal additional damage based on the length of the enemy's Break Gauge. This means that as a character of Destruction, she can clear enemies in groups and deal with single targets effectively. The trait of her kit is "Core Resonance", which allow Saber use her Ulit immediatly when stack enough.

Saber Trace Priority
Upgrading Saber's traces in the proper sequence is essential for maximizing her effectiveness. Considering her ultimate's mechanics and ability, the following is the recommended order for trace priority:
- Ultimate: Top Priority. Saber's Ultimate is her strongest attack, dealing heavy single-target damage with splash, and it becomes a massive AoE nuke when enhanced. Leveling it increases its damage multipliers significantly, which is vital for burst phases in MoC. Since her kit revolves around powering up this Ultimate, you want it hitting as hard as possible.
- Skill: Second Priority. This damages a target and adjacent enemies. You will use her Skill frequently in MoC waves and to chip multiple enemies' Toughness. Leveling it boosts both its direct damage dealt to multiple enemies. In prolonged fights, Skill contributes a large portion of total damage, so it's nearly as important as the Ultimate.
- Talent: Third Priority. Saber's talent gives her a stacking buff whenever any ally uses an Ultimate, increasing her survivability and energy regen, and eventually upgrading her own Ultimate. Leveling the talent typically increases the buff effects (e.g. energy recharge rate, damage reduction, etc.). This indirectly boosts her performance and should be maxed eventually. However, prioritize direct damage skills first; the talent's utility is potent but harder to feel immediately than raw damage gains.
- Basic ATK: Last Priority. Saber's basic is single-target and used least often. It's mainly a filler when low on skill points. While it should not be neglected entirely (higher basic ATK helps in zero-skill-point moments and finishing off low-health foes), it yields the lowest benefit from maxing. Leave this for last when everything else is done.

Saber Teams
As a hypercarry, Saber needs teammates who can frequently cast their ultimate to generate more Core Resonance for her. The buffs should last at least 2 turns to pretent from wasted by Saber's own Action Advance. It is better to pair Saber with support can help SP generation that allow Saber to cast more Ults in the battle. Here are some of the most effective team compositions that synergize with Saber in Memory of Chaos, utilizing high-end units:

Bronya boosts Saber with ATK, Crit buffs, and extra turns—and her Ultimate also gives Saber a talent stack. Silver Wolf lowers enemy DEF and can implant Wind Weakness, letting Saber break through any enemy regardless of their original resistances. Add a healer like Luocha, Bailu, or Natasha to keep the team alive—especially useful until Saber's enhanced Ultimate kicks in and heals the party. Alternatively, a shielder like Aventurine or Fu Xuan can keep Saber safe. This team works great against single-target bosses (even if they're not Wind-weak, thanks to Silver Wolf) and also shines in multi-enemy fights thanks to Saber's AoE and Bronya's turn manipulation.

Pull Recommendations
For beginners or casual players: E0S0 Saber comes with AoE, ricochet, and spread mechanics, offering both group and single-target damage. She also has flexible team-building options, making her a strong pick for early game progression. Characters with high versatility and wide applicability like her are ideal for handling various scenarios with a single setup. Whether or not to pull depends on personal preference.
For players who focus on meta strength: Saber’s role is quite similar to characters like Phainon and Anaxa. Her main damage comes from ricochet mechanics, making her well-suited for enemies with shared HP bars or single/duo-target scenarios. However, in battles with constantly respawning summons, she may seem to deal millions of damage, much of which ends up being wasted. For ricochet-type characters, pulling one is usually enough.
For veteran players lacking Wind DPS, or struggling in modes like Pure Fiction, Memory of Chaos, or Apocalyptic Shadow: You can consider pulling Saber to better adapt to the meta and strengthen your roster depth.
As for Saber’s Eidolon (Constellation) upgrade order, the recommended priority is: E0S0->E0S1->E6S1
Eidolon Stage |
Power Boost |
E0 → E1 |
15% boost, enhanced energy recharge |
E1 → E2 |
5% boost, enhanced defense reduction |
E2 → E4 |
15% boost, improved penetration |
E2 → E4 |
60% boost, penetration and Ultimate refresh mechanic |
Saber’s signature Light Cone, "A Thankless Coronation", and her Eidolons from E1 to E5 each offer around a 15% single-upgrade power increase, which is relatively modest. It’s usually more worthwhile to invest in strengthening your overall team or obtaining core Eidolons for support units.
Only when she reaches E6, unlocking the explosive Ultimate Chain mechanic (after her first Ultimate refunds 300 energy, she can trigger one additional Ultimate every 3 turns), does the single-upgrade boost exceed 60%, making it truly impactful.
Pulling Priority:
- 1-pull budget: Base character (a complete and powerful carry)
- 2-pull budget: E0 + Light Cone (stable Light Cone benefits + 10% Ultimate energy refund)
- 3-pull budget: E1 + Light Cone (60% boost to Ultimate damage + better energy recharge)
- 4-pull budget: E2 + Light Cone (ignore DEF + enhanced Skill multiplier)
- Unlimited budget: E5 + Light Cone (go wild if you're a whale)
