Should I Pull for Anaxa in HSR 3.6?

The second half of the Version 3.6 is on, featuring the new 5-star character Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae (available for free) and the rerun 5-star character Anaxa. It’s been 168 days from the first debut of Anaxa. Many of you may raised a question about pulling Anaxa or not.

Today, I will provide detailed pulling advice based on his strength, mechanics, and team composition to help you make the decision.

 

Anaxa Overview

Rarity: 5-star | Element: Wind | Path: Erudition

Anaxa is an Erudition Wind character who specializes in Weakness Implantation and multi-target bounce attacks, making him a potent debuffer and situational damage dealer.

Ultimate “ Universal Weakness Breaker”: His Ultimate, "Sprouting Life Sculpts Earth," is his defining ability. It inflicts all enemies with the "Sublimation" state, simultaneously imposing Weakness to Physical, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Quantum, and Imaginary types. This allows any team to break Toughness against any enemy, and if the target has no Control RES, it also prevents them from taking action.

Talent “Random Weakness & Extra Attacks”: His Talent, "Tetrad Wisdom Reigns Thrice," allows him to implant a random Weakness on enemies with each hit. When an enemy has at least 5 different Weaknesses, it enters the "Qualitative Disclosure" state. Anaxa deals increased DMG to these targets and, after using his Basic ATK or Skill on them, launches an additional Skill attack for free, significantly boosting his damage and break potential.

Skill “Bouncing Barrage”: His Skill, "Fractal, Exiles Falacy," fires a main shot at a designated enemy followed by 4 additional bounces to random targets. Its damage is increased based on the number of enemies on the field, making it excellent for crowd control.

Team Synergy & Playstyle: With supports like Cerydra and Sunday, and the free Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae, Anaxa's gameplay becomes very smooth and powerful. He can quickly apply Weaknesses and unleash double or even quadruple Skill attacks (from his Talent), leading to fast Toughness break and considerable damage.

Key Considerations & Future Potential: His performance is highly dependent on enemy count. Against a single Elite enemy, he is a top-tier unit, focusing all his bounces and debuffs on one target. However, against 3 or 5 enemies, his bouncing attacks become dispersed, which can reduce his focused damage output. Furthermore, his value as a universal Weakness implanter makes him a practical asset in various game modes. Notably, he is expected to gain significant benefits and new team compositions with the upcoming character Cyrene , making him a more future-proof investment.

 

Anaxa Pulling Advice

Anaxa is a strategic pick best suited for accounts that already possess his core support Cerydra, plan to acquire the future character Cyrene in version 3.7 for their anticipated powerful synergy, and highly value his unique universal utility of implanting all weakness types, a flexible capability that allows teams to bypass toughness barriers across various game modes.

Anaxa excels at single-target combat and performs best as a solo main DPS when supported by two support characters. The decision to pull for Anaxa ultimately depends on whether your account lacks a strong single-target main DPS. if your account lacks single-target DPS options and you already possess Sunday and Cerydra, then pulling for Anaxa becomes a viable consideration.

·Can Skip If: you already have reliable single-target damage dealers like Phainon or prefer using Archer, you can skip pulling for Anaxa.

 

Eidolons and Signature Light Cone Analysis

E1: The E1 can regenerate 1 point of SP, and decrease 16% of enemies’ DEF. Quite nice. but not the best.

E2: E2 helps Anaxa inflict Weakness faster and 20% of enemies DEF ignorance, it’s the best Eidolon for Anaxa. For Trailblazers place Anaxa as main DPS, you should have one.

Light Core	Effect
Life Should Be Cast to Flames	When the wearer's turn starts, regenerates 10 Energy. If the enemy target has a Weakness implanted by the wearer, increases the wearer's DMG dealt to it by 60%. When an enemy target gets attacked by the wearer, the wearer decreases the target's DEF by 12%, lasting for 2 turn(s). The same types of effects cannot stack.

Anaxa’s signature LC is better than his E1. It provides 60% DMG boost, 12% DEF ignorance, and energy regen, which optimize his Ultimate rotation. But the need for his signature Light Cone is highly dependent on your team composition.

·Verdict: If you don't mind the minor inconvenience, you can share one Light Cone between The Herta and Anaxa. Simply equip it to The Herta when facing AoE scenarios with teams like The Herta + Anaxa / Herta, and transfer it to Anaxa when tackling single-target content with compositions such as Anaxa + Cerydra + Sunday + Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae.

Also, you can use The Herta’s signature LC for Anaxa if you have one.
