Akane Rin is scheduled to join Neverness to Everness on October 21, 2026, in Version 1.4ās second phase. Armed with an electric guitar and Feathered Sound Blade, this S-Rank Lakshana DPS turns her performance into a barrage of ranged attacks, switching between focused single-target pressure and wide-area damage.
Preparing to bring her onstage? This Akane Rin build guide covers her best Arcs, Module setup, skill priorities, Awakenings, and team comps to help you prepare for her debut.
Overview

Akane Rin is a ranged Lakshana damage dealer who uses her Redirect Skill to relay Basic Attacks toward a marked target or through an area. Press Rhythm Wave to establish Overtone for a single enemy, or hold it to deploy Reverb Field against groups. Both forms last 25 seconds, and only one can remain active at a time.
Dealing damage builds String Energy up to 30. With a form active, she can spend that energy on Synced Resonance for a heavy single target hit or an area attack. Her Ultimate adds a separate two stage damage window and activates Starlit Anthem, increasing her own damage by 20% for 25 seconds.
Remora teams give her another source of damage through Perfect Pitch, while Psyche teammates can enable Stain to increase Lakshana damage taken. Give Akane a sustained attack window after the rest of the team has established its buffs and effects.
Skill Kit
Basic Attack: Stringblade
Performs 4 consecutive attacks using an electric guitar and Feathered Sound Blade, dealing Lakshana DMG. Generates String Energy whenever Akane Rin deals DMG to a target. String Energy has a cap of 30.
Basic Attack: Stage Dive
Press Basic Attack while airborne to plunge, dealing 1 instance of Lakshana DMG in an area upon impact.
Critical Riposte: Featherblade Reverb
Triggers when pressing Basic Attack after a Critical Dodge. Blasts the target with Feathered Sound Blade, dealing Lakshana DMG.
Redirect Skill: Rhythm Wave
Press Rhythm Wave to apply Overtone for 25 seconds and deal Lakshana DMG. Akaneās Basic Attacks are relayed over long range to the marked enemy, with the relayed attackās DMG Ratio increased by 32.5%.
Hold Rhythm Wave to deploy Reverb Field for 25 seconds and deal Lakshana DMG within its area. Basic Attacks are relayed through the field to all enemies inside it, dealing one instance of Basic Attack DMG with an additional 36% DMG increase.
Overtone and Reverb Field share a cooldown. Establishing a new form replaces the existing one. Once the normal cooldown ends, either mode can be selected again.
Enhanced Skill: Synced Resonance
At 30 String Energy, an active Overtone or Reverb Field enables Synced Resonance. Overtone produces a heavy single target Lakshana hit on the marked enemy; Reverb Field produces an enhanced Spread Lakshana hit within its area.
A successful hit consumes 30 String Energy; a miss consumes none. Synced Resonance has no independent cooldown and does not alter Rhythm Waveās normal cooldown. It also does not refresh the remaining duration of Overtone or Reverb Field. Establish a form first if neither is active.
Ultimate: Sonic Boom
The first cast deals a heavy Lakshana hit within the target area and enters Solo Cadenza. During the latter half of that state, press Ultimate again to cast a second heavy area attack. The second stage must be activated manually; it does not trigger automatically when Solo Cadenza expires.
Solo Cadenza operates independently of Overtone and Reverb Field and does not remove either effect. Its duration is currently shown as X in the specified skill source.
Support Skill: Altered Chord
Akane strikes her guitar strings with a powerful strum, dealing one instance of Lakshana DMG.
Perfect Pitch
After the team first triggers Remora, Akane gains an enhancement that lasts for the rest of combat. Overtone periodically applies Remora to its marked target, while Reverb Field applies it to enemies within range. Reapplying Remora to an affected enemy deals additional Lakshana damage based on Akaneās ATK and the targetās remaining Remora duration. Each target has its own trigger interval. The source currently leaves the numerical intervals, scaling, and cap unspecified.
Starlit Anthem
Casting Sonic Boom increases Akaneās own damage by 20% for 25 seconds. This effect does not stack; triggering it again refreshes its duration.
Skill Upgrade Priority
Basic Attack > Ultimate > Redirect Skill > Support Skill
Prioritize Stringblade for the sustained attacks that drive her on field rotation and are relayed through Rhythm Wave. Sonic Boom comes next for its two stage damage window. Upgrade Rhythm Wave afterward to improve its own damage and Synced Resonance scaling, then finish Altered Chord. Keep Rhythm Wave leveled as well, since Synced Resonance is a major part of her damage loop and establishing Overtone or Reverb Field is essential to her rotation.
Unlock Perfect Pitch and Starlit Anthem as part of her core build. Use Sonic Boom before her main attack window when available, maintain the appropriate Rhythm Wave mode, and spend String Energy at 30. Keep track of the manual second Ultimate cast.

96Best Arcs
Signature Arc: Far Side of the Moon
ATK: 570
CRIT DMG: 48%
Gravitide
Increases Crit Rate by 15%.
Increases the wearer's Redirect Skill DMG by 28%. Increases the wearer's Basic Attack DMG by 28% and Lakshana DMG by 20% for 15s after casting a Redirect Skill.
Far Side of the Moon directly supports both halves of Akaneās damage loop. Its CRIT stats make her easier to build, while the permanent Redirect Skill bonus strengthens Synced Resonance. Casting Rhythm Wave or its enhanced skill then activates Basic Attack and Lakshana bonuses for the next attack sequence. Maintain this buff window as you build and spend String Energy.
Alternative: The Last Rose
ATK: 570
CRIT Rate: 24%
Bohemian Rose
Increases ATK by 14%.
Grants 1 stack of Chaos Thorn each time the wearer deals DoT. Increases CRIT DMG by 6% per stack for 3s. Triggers at most once every 0.3s, up to 10 stacks, and refreshes the duration when retriggered. Grants 10 stacks of Chaos Thorn immediately when the wearer casts a Redirect Skill.
Extends the Broken state of a Broken enemy by 3s when the wearer deals damage to them (triggers at most once per Break Effect).
The Last Rose combines high Base ATK and CRIT Rate with an immediate ten stacks of Chaos Thorn after casting a Redirect Skill. Akane can therefore access its short CRIT DMG window without relying on her own kit to deal DoT. The stacks last only three seconds, so time her next attacks or burst around that window. Its damage against Broken enemies can also extend the teamās damage opportunity.
Alternative: Fluff of Fleetness
ATK: 512
CRIT DMG: 44%
Motor Candy
Increases 5% ATK every 1s while the wearer is the active character, up to 5 stacks. Resets when the wearer leaves the field.
Fluff of Fleetness is a practical option for Akaneās sustained field time. It offers CRIT DMG and builds ATK while she remains active, reaching five stacks after five seconds. Because leaving the field clears the stacks, it suits longer Basic Attack sequences better than constant short swaps.
Alternative: Youthful Fantasy
ATK: 570
ATK: 30%
"Black Tome"
Increases Break Intensity by 60.
Seals Arc: Black Tome with two chains by default. Unleashes 1 chain each time any character on the team casts a Support Skill. Makes Arc: Black Tome available when all two chains are unleashed.
Arc: Black Tome ā Summons the Black Tome for 20s. Designates an enemy every 5s. Increases the wearer's Chaos DMG dealt to designated enemies by 20%. Deals Chaos DMG equal to 200% of the wearer's ATK to designated enemies when they take Break Damage.
Youthful Fantasy offers high Base ATK and ATK%, but its Chaos damage bonus does not increase Akaneās Lakshana damage. The team must also use two Support Skills to unlock Black Tome, whose extra Chaos hit depends on Break Damage. It is a fallback if already upgraded, with fewer direct benefits for Akane than the options above.
Best Modules
Street Boxer
Console Layout
Street Boxer strengthens Akaneās Lakshana damage and supplies substantial CRIT Rate. Its conditional bonus works with both Remora and Stain, so the recommended teams can support it through different Cycle combinations. Trigger the relevant Cycle before her main damage window to use the full bonus.
Her Console grants 10% ATK for each equipped Type III Module. Prioritize Type III Modules while preserving Street Boxerās full set bonus and fitting the pieces into her Console.
Prioritize CRIT Rate while building a consistent damage profile, then adjust for bonuses gained in combat. Street Boxer alone provides up to 28% CRIT Rate, with further CRIT Rate available from her signature Arc, selected Awakening, or teammates. Once those bonuses bring her close to the cap, CRIT DMG or Lakshana DMG becomes more useful than additional CRIT Rate.
Awakening Priority
A2 > A4 > A6 > A5 > A3 > A1
A2 is the first choice because both Rhythm Wave modes gain a useful damage effect: Overtone lowers enemy All Resistances by 7.5%, while Reverb Field increases the active characterās damage by 12.5%. A4 follows with a 16% ATK buff for 10 seconds after Synced Resonance, supporting the next part of her attack loop. A6 adds a 10% team damage bonus through Starlit Anthem.
A5 improves the relayed Basic Attacks, increasing Overtoneās DMG Ratio bonus from 32.5% to 50% and Reverb Fieldās extra DMG bonus from 36% to 60%. A3 strengthens the initial press cast and improves area coverage and grouping. A1 provides CRIT Rate and self healing, making it a useful comfort option even though it is a lower damage priority in this build.
Awakening Effects
Diatonic ā 3 Awakenings
Raises the skill levels of Basic Attack, Redirect Skill, and Ultimate by one, and increases ATK by 20%.
Counterpoint ā 6 Awakenings
Starts combat with full String Energy, refunds 10 String Energy after Synced Resonance, and grants 50% CRIT DMG for 25 seconds after casting it. This improves the opening attack sequence and reduces the energy needed between subsequent enhanced skills.
Best Team Comps
Akane takes the main sustained damage window in these four lineups. Establish teammatesā buffs, Cycle effects, and supporting attacks before returning to her.
Akane handles the main Lakshana damage window, supported by Blackbirdās coordinated attacks and enhanced Stain. Sakiri groups enemies with her Redirect Skill and supplies a team ATK buff through her Ultimate, helping Akane keep multiple targets inside Reverb Field. Her DEF reduction follows Airborne or Suppress, so its availability depends on whether the enemy can receive those effects. Iroi supplies healing and team DEF Ignore. Blackbird and Sakiri can also enable Nova alongside the teamās Stain access.
Akaneās Lakshana combines with Blackbird and Hanielās Psyche to enable Stain, with Blackbird extending its duration and increasing its base damage bonus. Blackbird adds coordinated attacks and a team ATK buff, while Haniel provides further ATK support. Linko contributes off field ambushes and calls allies into Synced Strikes. Calling Akane for a Synced Strike activates Precision Tuningās 8% Lakshana RES reduction for 12 seconds, strengthening her next damage window. Set up these effects before giving Akane sustained field time.
Akaneās Lakshana combines with Shinku or Zeroās Cosmos to trigger Remora and activate Perfect Pitch. Iroiās Anima pairs with Cosmos to generate Blossom, and its Vita Pistils can trigger Charge when they hit targets affected by Remora. Shinkuās Charge enhancement shares Ultimate Energy gains with off field teammates, while Zeroās Charge enhancement provides healing when the active character gains Ultimate Energy. Iroi adds dedicated healing and team DEF Ignore. Akane and Shinku both need field time, so give them separate damage windows and complete Shinkuās transformation sequence before swapping. Use Zero for a shorter contribution between those windows, and keep Remora available for Akaneās reapplication damage.
Blackbirdās Psyche enables enhanced Stain with Akaneās Lakshana, while Zeroās Cosmos supplies Remora to activate Perfect Pitch. Iroiās Anima adds Blossom access alongside healing and team DEF Ignore. Vita Pistils hitting a target under Remora can then enable Charge, with Zero contributing extra healing through the resulting Ultimate Energy gains. Blackbird supplies coordinated attacks and a team ATK buff before Akane takes the main attack window. Compared with the Shinku lineup, this team gives Akane more room to remain active and adds Blackbirdās Stain support. Establish Stain and Remora before her attack sequence, then maintain Rhythm Wave and spend String Energy on Synced Resonance.
Conclusion
Akane Rin rewards a steady rotation: establish Overtone or Reverb Field, build String Energy through attacks, and spend it on Synced Resonance while keeping her buffs active. Prioritize her Basic Attack upgrades, equip Street Boxer, and choose between Stain support or a Remora team that activates Perfect Pitch. Remember to trigger Sonic Boomās second stage manually.
