ZZZ 2.5 Banner: New Characters Ye Shunguang, Zhao is Free

Not only did the recent dev talk give us a small teaser about the upcoming 2.5 character gameplay, they also gave us ahuge teasers on what else we can expect the upcoming updates. And we have a lot of hype stuff on the way.

Ye Shunguang made her dazzling debut in ZZZ 2.5 banner as Attack Agent, and the rabbit Zhao will release at this version as a brand new 5-star Defense. There's re also have excited updates for old characters, they all getting buff in this banner. Can't wait to jump into the 2.5 banner!

ZZZ 2.5 New Characters

Ye Shunguang - Phase 1 and 2 

Rarity: S-Rank | Specialty: Attack | Attribute: Physical

Do you know why her name is Ye Shunguang? Becaues she will make you spend all your polychrome for her overnight......(hhh, this is a wordplay in Chinese :0)

Ye Shunguang's official artwork has been released, and the 14th's PV revealed her summoning swords from the sky. After transforming, she becomes a white-haired, red-eyed figure, still chosen by the Qingming Sword—who could resist pulling for her?

Ye Shunguang's damage is heavily reliant on her finishing move, making her highly compatible with Dialyn's Chain Attack, which transitions into a finishing move. This synergy makes Dialyn the best Rupture teammate for Ye Shunguang. Additionally, Zhao, the free bunny character from version 2.5, can activate Ether Veil, which is crucial for Ye Shunguang's finishing move stance. This makes Zhao a strong partner for Shunguang, alongside Dialyn.

However, neither Dialyn nor Zhao will be exclusive supports for Ye Shunguang. Zhao's BATE V1 strength is low since she's given for free. Her output is limited by lower crit stats and multipliers, but she's versatile, offering buffs for multiple elements, making her ideal for new players.

Zhao - Phase 1 and 2 (Free)

Rarity: S-Rank | Specialty: Defense | Attribute: Ice

The cutest bunny in ZZZ is here! Zhao is an ice Defense character and the second S-tier limited Defense unit. Her skills are linked to her max HP. Defense is currently an underrated trait, as the meta favors invincibility periods and supports that boost damage or accelerate stagger. Caesar, the first S-tier Defense unit, adds shields and boosts attack, but his usage rate is low, as the environment isn’t that high-pressure.

Zhao (this link is Zhao's kit~), however, offers protection along with unique support effects. Her abilities focus on healing and activating Ether Veil, granting buffs based on elemental types. Her talent also converts excess healing into team-wide attack power and, upon retreat, grants the ability to ignore enemy elemental resistances. Zhao excels in survival and offers helpful buffs suited to the environment.

And with her adorable pink fur and a big axe as her weapon—she's a Defense agent? Perhaps defeating enemies is the best form of protection? Still, I think there's room to strengthen Zhao's power to help revive the Defense trait.

Astra Yao - Phase 2

Rarity: S-Rank | Specialty: Support | Attribute: Ether

Astra Yao is an S-Rank Ether-attribute Support character affiliated with the Stars of Lyra faction, widely regarded as one of the most versatile supports in the current meta.

In the present game environment, she is able to fully demonstrate her “one-woman army” potential, fitting effortlessly into nearly any team composition. She offers exceptional support value through powerful team-wide buffs, including increases to ATK and CRIT Rate, along with various additional enhancements.

Soldier 0 Anby - Phase 2

Rarity: S-Rank | Specialty: Attack | Attribute: Electric

Soldier 0 Anby (SS-Anby) is an Electric attack agent whose damage revolves around Aftershock mechanics. Her attacks apply a Mark to enemies while building energy, and once sufficient energy is stored, her Special Skill consumes these stacks to trigger extra Electric damage. Both her Special Skill and Ultimate can instantly fully charge the Mark, which amplifies her overall damage as well as the bonus damage from her additional attacks.

If you already have a well-developed team, you can skip this rerun of SS-Anby.

Alice - Phase 2

Rarity: S-Rank | Specialty: Anomaly | Attribute: Physical

Alice is a Physical Anomaly DPS agent from the Spook Shack faction. She excels at applying Anomaly buildup to enemies to frequently trigger Assault and Disorder effects, boosting her damage output. Alice builds a unique resource called Blade Etiquette through attacks and team interactions; when filled, she can consume it to perform powerful slashing attacks that trigger Polarized Assault, dealing significant burst damage. Her kit rewards chaining attacks and managing Blade Etiquette to maximize damage, especially in Anomaly-focused teams. Alice is designed as a strong on-field damage dealer with synergy alongside other Anomaly or support units.
